The C4 trick has been patched, this no longer works for driller.
Scout can grapple out at the exact moment he gets locked in, the timing for this is very tight.

It probably doesnt work because retrieving the arrows doesnt make an animation play, it just needs your cursor to be on the arrow and then it just flies towards you

The knock back from RJ250 also lets you escape the droppod if you time the shot correctly

You don't necessarily have to spam E, just hitting E as soon as you get locked in the drop pod will unlock you.

I wonder if you die during the escape pod returning sequence would you fail a mission or not

If you leave the escape pod while it's returning, you will not count as alive at the end of the mission, regardless of whether you actually die after leaving. Your character will still walk in and do the victory pose, but the survival bonus will not count you as alive.
If you are solo and leave the escape pod, the mission fails; if you're multiplayer and everyone leaves, the mission fails.

If you jump out you lose your survival bonus so it's actually worse. But it's a small price to pay for the funny

Previously, grabbing C4 would cancel falls, so you could easily fall from any height without taking any fall damage. They fixed that, and as a side effect, this is also fixed.

once you get in the droppod you win within a few seconds so it would be pretty hard to lose after you get out

i have tried this, if you die after the drop pod takes off, you are still counted as live if it is only you

It was a little funny the first couple of times i saw it. Now it just sux as it cost you the surviving bonus even if you are still alive...

It might have been possible before with boltshark bolts but I don't know of any way that works now.

Grapple hook at last second and pull yourself out or you can aim at the drop pod itself but you just have 1 chance

@@Cherry_Cherri I thought grapple wasn't possible, but I just got it to work once (and I failed the mission since I was solo). The timing indeed seems to be very precise.
