What a great interview. A difficult listen, but we need to keep talking about this and holding it up to the light. The part about macro gaslighting explained so much. What’s happening is truly shocking. Malka is doing great work.

I switched therapists a few months after Oct 7. Found a Jewish therapist.

My psychologist's license has just been refused renewal because they said she is too old. She's Jewish and I hadn't needed to see her much but after October 7 I just felt more of a need to speak with her regardless. Most people here in Australia are so brainwashed that they think Israel are the bad guys. I'm now thinking her being Jewish had something to do with her license being denied renewal. She is devastated by it. I'm at the point where I think I want to speak with a Rabbi just to say how I feel about Israel. How does an atheist go about that? Maybe I'll frequent our local market in the Jewish area and see how I go? By the way there is also a huge amount of support here in Australia for Israel.

I think a rabbi would be very touched hearing from you. Judaism is built to co-exist. They do not judge if you're atheist/Christian/etc.

If you email a shul rabbi I have no doubt they'd be thrilled to hear from you.

A good way to find a Rabbi is to look up local synagogues. They often have the rabbi's contact information available.

I've also been very affected by this. I think it's hard because most of it is in mischaracterization, warping history and misusing phrases to give the impression that 'zionists' are maniacal and motivated by a desire for racial superiority and world domination, thereby allowing outsiders to attack Jews and coerce them into admonishing an important aspect of their culture and get them to turn on each other.
Unfortunately, since this is all pretty vague, trying to provide proof that this is the way we're being attacked is difficult. You can show 1000 different tiktoks a few major books and TV appearances, but some might argue it's anecdotal.

We've been hated for our religion, we've been hated for our ethnicity, now we're hated for our state.
In every one of those manifestations of hatred or enemies have had to lie about the aspect they base their hated on. So now they just twist what Zionism means in order to make it sound evil.

Anti semitism is such a red flag for me. Makes my spidey senses tingle
