Amazing!
Can you program different responses to unknown questions? Something like “That’s a good question, go ask [name of other NPC] who may have the answer.”
Thank you for this feature request. We are working on similar features soon!
Can you add/update knowledge base files at runtime using unreal 5 ?
Question: do you guys know what potential copyright infringement might be surrounding this? I want an AI character who is knowledgable about a certain field, so I want to be able to plug-in half a dozen books on various topics, in addition to the game lore that I write myself. But if their answer involves information from the books I did not write, am I infringing on the copyright of the books I did not write? To clarify, I’m referring to nonfiction books about trades and sciences. I don’t wanna have to write my own book on say, carpentry, to make my character seem like he’s been in the carpentry field for the last 60 years.
I saw from the examples you gave in the video that the AI character noted what studies he’d read it from, so I assume there would be some sort of citation in the credits of the game, but I’m looking more for a character who might not remember what books he read certain pieces of information in, or where he learned how to do a certain thing, he’s just known it for so long that that’s just how it’s done.
I’m hoping to use this on a large number of my characters, as they would know a myriad of things from a variety of backgrounds that I am not familiar with. I wanted to know if people consider there to be a difference between me reading all of these books and generating dialogue from it and me plugging them into an AI and generating a conversation with them.
Thank you in advance for any thoughts on this question.
Is it possible to use only the knowledge base files and not search the internet for answers?
Whenever I add something to the knowledge bank it gives this error "Something went wrong!
Unable to generate audio response. Please verify that you have a valid voice set for the character."
i have a character that is spunky and mischievous by nature, it seems even with the description i wrote, the AI still answers in a calm and relaxed manner rather than her typical sarcastic remarks. can I just add let's say a book that features a similar character and will she actually draw from that knowledge bank a use it to inform her responses accordingly or will she just use it for information and still have the same robotic demeanor?
We are working on how to control the personality of the AI better and will have more coming out soon.
discord link is invalid :(
Omg that’s freaking insane wow
Thank you!
Hi, possible with using our own characters instead Ready Player me?
Yes! we have unreal and unity plugins for you to use with your characters.
Is it possible to add in-game knowledge packets that would allow an NPC to gains new knowledge through reading a book or leveling up in experience?
from what I can see, you can work with memory to add to the NPCs knowledge bank.
Is the default answer to an unknown question always a fabrication?
There are ways of reducing this. In your backstory you can add, if you don't know, say I don't know.
So the players cannot finish the game after 200 queries lol
why tf you say 50 when its only 41 nuh uhhhh'
