    I’ve watched thousands of videos and taken lessons. Your way of explaining things is just so easy to understand and implementable. I can’t tell you how many videos give a long explanation but using what they say never translates. I’ve watched your videos after buying every swing aid you can imagine, recording every swing and trying to fix it, and spending months trying to fix my cast. I watched your videos and within a day I’m hitting my 7 iron with a perfect draw 170 yards and it feels easy.
    Thanks🎉

    Nice video. Release is often neglected. One potential helpful consideration is the grip. A lot of the tour players today utilize a strong lead hand grip with a neutral trail hand. The only reason that is important for this video is that the check points or intentions might be off depending on this lead hand grip. For example with a strong lead hand a good impact position will be slightly upward and toward target. Not a flip, but a release point dependent on the grip. I don’t think we have to cover all grips but these two are most commonly accepted.
    Thanks,
    Alan

    I have watched lots and lots of golf training videos here on youtube. Not of them have helped my game like you have. I love these short, very concise, pointers on how to make the best and consistent contact with the ball. You have made the golf swing so much easier. I'm hitting the ball straighter and carrying it 10 to 30 yards further. Playing is much more fun when you can actually make a few pars like I have been able to do after watching and listening to your videos!!!!

    The supination release is good for more distance, but for accuracy wise body rotation release is better. For amateur it’s too hard to time it spot on on forearm rotation release unless you really put a lot of efforts and times to it. I hit my 7 iron with forearm rotation around 170 yards total but the ball go left if I rotate too much it goes to the left if I don’t and open the face and it goes to the right. When I changed to body release my yardage goes down to around 150-155 but my balls pretty straight most of the time and stay on the fairway.

    • @kevinhwangjr
      @kevinhwangjr  9 місяців тому +2

      I believe you have to use both your body and supination together. If you have to correct supination release and the ball goes left the release is most likely not the problem. There is most likely a problem with how your body moves. For example if you have an out to in swing or if your body’s rotation stalls out. In my opinion if you have a good release the release is never the problem 👍🏼

      @@kevinhwangjr for myself I feel like I have to hold my wrist set and my forearm from 3 to 8 and just extend arm at 9. But that’s my feeling, if I feel I rotate forearm usually it goes way left and the club face is -6to9 degrees on trackman . I have Club path +3to5 degrees on irons

    • @kurtg9684
      @kurtg9684 7 місяців тому +1

      @@kevinhwangjr I agree with you. I had a wrist/arm injury due to casting the club. So I over compensated by using more body espescially on the back swing and taking away the release so to speak. Bad idea. When I use my body the way I should and naturally release after impact, I hit straight and 10 plus yards more than when I was casting and scooping. I also like the way you simplify your explanation so I can focus on one or two things at a time.

    Kevin, Jake here- another great video! Would it be possible to get some videos on the mental aspect of the game, and trying to quiet swing thoughts? I feel like one big thing me, and alot of other amateur golfers, struggle with; is overthinking and trying to focus on mechanical aspects of the swing while approaching and taking shots on the course. I know a lot of amateurs can relate to having killer range sessions and them not transfer t over to the course due to this issue. Thank you sir keep up the great content, it is high valued!

    • @kevinhwangjr
      @kevinhwangjr  9 місяців тому +2

      If you get that hook it’s probably because the club is not staying on the right side and you’re flipping the club. I would have to take a look at your swing to be certain but remember that if you have a good release with supination the release is never the problem to a hook miss, something else in your pivot/body went wrong to cause that hook. For example a bad swing path or stalling your rotation

    • @kurtg9684
      @kurtg9684 7 місяців тому +1

      I could be wrong but I think he was saying turn or rotate with the left so the emblem on your glove faces the target at impact. notice also in his explanation at around 1:14 how his hand/wrist at impact is a little bent or cupped. That's a tough one to get used to also. some can do that but others can't. God Bless

    What you really need is more science and less yapping. Do some experiments to prove that the changes you babble about are effective. Show those experiments in your videos. You'll still have to deal with the human factor. If you cant get past that then why are you making videos.
