Healthy Kirby Dach please.
This is the key - if he was healthy last year we might have gotten an extra 20 goals that would have made a hell of a difference in all those one goal losses
@@VictorEMusique it will be like adding a top 6 forward for free. 😎
@@travisdecheno5670 no, Dach will just do what Monahan did all year. So having Dach healthy brings us to the same spot as last year until Monahan got traded
@@habs7646 dach is way better than monahan lol
@@travisdecheno5670 has more potential yes, but man realise that Dach has missed 50% of NHL games since he's 18. There's no way he can become a 90 pts center now. I'd be really surprised if he ever makes 60 pts one day, just like Monahan
It's funny to hear Engles say "Be careful what you say". Years ago Anthonny Ducalir was killing it as a rookie in a few pre season game et Engels was calling him unreal. I basically told him to "be careful what you say" after a few pre season games and he answered something along the lines of "I did not get where I am by not having certitudes". Guess his narrative changed. Good for him.
Caline Dion also went in the Bruins locker room to read the lineup and cheered them up. Habs fan number 1!
Duclair just signed a 4 year deal!
@@CampRobber-ms3wp the point being?
stop saying 2 year rebuild, we got slaf, reinbacher, demidov, 3 years
Don't forget Hutson and Fowler.
Absolutely 💯. I think we look at this coming season as another building season. The following season is where most Hab Fans expect notable results in the standings. I am confident at 61 years old I will see at least another Stanley Cup in Montréal if not a few with Huges and Kent's management
I like thé way those expert hâte on mtl
I am predicting a bottom 7 finish this season. Montembeault will not play over his head like last season, we will have potentially 3 new players on D, Dach will get injured like always so our center line will be atrocious. Also carrying 2 bullets in anderson and gallagher. We need an elite center in this years draft and hope that we get a 11-15th pick with the Monahan trade
You got it - the Canadiens stole the show with Celine making the 5th place selection - a touch of class the other teams just couldn't match. Surprisingly nobody congratulated the Florida Panthers on their first Stanley Cup - that was a great series final.
Goalie development? Tim Thomas. Hab killer that one. Moog too.
There's no one-size-fits-all formula. Goalies are a breed apart.
Management has a plan and they're sticking to it. Who fits in and who leaves depends ...
Every decent fan is expecting more and better.
The Habs are still young and are progressing well, patience is the key. But we need results next season.
😂😂😂
@@pierrelalonde3705 results or steady improvement? 8 more wins and close games would work for me.
No they aren't ready, a healty Dach is the only change from last year, like him but he isn't enough.
playoffs playoffs I just hope we win another game
Marty's success did not come with the Habs so he doesn't have that pressure and history weighing on him as a coach. He's also a not so taciturn a person when compared with a Mario Tremblay or Guy Carbonneau....
Voodoo is a religion. Goal tending is not.
Maybe they’ll be in the playoffs run but this team is not ready yet to make it
Montembault adequate?
Sure hope that’s a joke!
Poor fundamentals, bad rebound control =too many soft goals.
Can’t steal games!
IMO the way St.Louis coached the Habs we were already in try hard mode last year.
That is however imo NOT the way to do a rebuild because the coach is severely limiting the chance for other players to assume better roles.A perfect example is a player Gignac who wa playing and skating very well for Laval but when he was called up he was given no chance to prove anything he was played few minutes and in a very small role he was simply given no chance.
SO you have to ask WHY was was St,louis coaching the team in that fashion over playing matheson to the point he was top 5 in the league for ice time?Well his ego wanted to prove his worth he wanted to prove the team could improve in the standings under his coaching but we did NOT improve so it was a mistake to coach in try hard mode we accomplished nothing.
We still got good picks.. it’s not the end of the world and I’m sure there is a reason to extend this fashion till more contracts expires the team looks set to have a player for every role in the pipeline
This is why you don’t have a career coaching hockey or anything to do with hockey.. yapping on UA-cam with your opinions.. pretty easy doing that !
@user-te4ji7sl4z can understand the person 's previous comments. I might not agree with him but I respect his opinion. We have a lot of new talent coming up in the Pipeline and its always hard to balance out who gets ice time and compete while developing young talent. As the headlines show, Patience is the key factor. The truth will be in the pudding after the next two seasons on judging Marty and the Management. ❤
Tht has to be the stupidest opinion I’ve ever heard
Pretty easy to gignac was not an nhler
Nope, still too small, blueline is sus and full of smurfs, goaltending blows
Yes & Elvis is still alive
they won't make the playoffs
Montreal needs help with coaching they have to bring in a defensive system get away from this Man to Man system Marty wants to play it will never ever win playoff hockey you need to give your goal tender a structure on the defensive side to have the best chance to stop the puck there is no structure on the defensive side of the puck now and the goal tending pays the price
The assistant staff definitely needs a reboot. Burrows has moved on, which is fine by me. PP has been inconsistent, and I am being kind. Fortunate or unfortunate, both the coach and some of the players will be different. It's hard to tell where the fault has been.
ya'll gotta understand that our defense is atrocious, it will be worse this year with the arrival of potentially 3 new guys under 21 years old. most teams play man to man in the NHL also.. rebuilds take average 5 years until the building starts, which brings us to 2027 until we can start climbing the ladder. Another top 6 in 2025 should do it
You're telling me Florida the teams that went to the final four have a man-to-man system I'm not a chance you have to start coaching playoff hockey now to be able to play playoff hockey in the future
@habs7646 Here's one for you. If you're believing Suzuki and Byfield are the ones to lead you to the promised land, I have a bridge for sale. Secondly I think the defensive pool is deeper in regards to what a contender looks like. They may not be ready for next season, but it will not be long after that.
I do not think Suzuki and Caulfield will be on the top line when they become contenders
Get rid of Matheson.
@@jjevans1693 matheson is getting points on the blue line so the can get a decent return for him
Habs will finish bottom 5 again next year. There is not a single player from the pipeline that will make the team next year and will help them get more points.
LOL His name is Kirby Dach. They just cant let anyone breathe on him. If healhy, we fight for playoffs. Oh and a certain Lane Hutson will help the PP....
@@travisdecheno5670playoff are a little far off but agree some kids are ready to come up and have to come up the fans are asking the fans shall have it
easily bottom 5, everyone got better but Montreal
@@travisdecheno5670 Dach missed too many games. Im hoping he becomes a really good 3rd C at this point, we need to draft a top skilled C in 2025 with a top 8 pick
@@travisdecheno5670 you know absolutely nothing about hockey, stop commenting and go back to watch basketball please. Dach will be at best a 60 pts player in the NHL, but he will never ever play more than 50 games in a season. Lane Hutson will have a hype, but will never be good as the top offensive d man in the league. please watch hockey outside of MTL. This guy thinks adding Dach instead of monahan this team in a year 4 of rebuil will suddenly make 30 pts more in the season LOOOOL. This is funny as hell.
