Thanks for the review! Finally to hear someone using these speakers for electronic music. I love African house, I lived in Botswana for a year and during that time got exposed to Kwaito and also African house, it's really a distinct and appealing style, the rhythms are fascinating!

Cool! How do you think they would perform nearfield?

M-Galaxy I was actually quite curious about how they would sound nearfield, so I took them off the stand and placed them on my desk! I’d say I was 2 feet from them! The clarity was amazing, real reference listening spec, however I did observe a noticeable drop in bass using them that close! I even removed the foam plugs I used with the wall placement and it still wasn’t at the level I’d have wanted without having to add a sub. They do have good bass still, but I’ve heard dedicated near field monitors with more bass delivery!

Did you use the foam plugs / port bungs at the back of the speakers?

martin mbokazi Hey! Yeah I used the supplied foam plugs, the resonance from the corner placement was too much without the plugs, and it gave me a much cleaner and tighter sound. Cheers!
