Even though my two hundred and some euros headphones sounds amazing!

Listening to this on my Genelec studio speakers, the Mania sounds very muffled, like you are listening to it from another room. I skipped ahead and heard the Mania first and thought "oh well, we're not going to get much from this, the audio sounds pretty bad. I was hugely surprised to hear how much better things got when he switched to the Onyx. Yes, there is definitely more width in the Devialet speaker but there too much missing in the mids for the Mania to sound any good. It's not as obvious with the second track but the sound is still noticeably worse. If they were the same price, the Onyx would be a no brainer but for one-third the price, I can't imagine why anyone would buy the Mania, except for the fact it looks like a prop from Star Trek.

Even though the B&O is brighter seemingly to have more detail, but the balance for the Mania just sounds so much more "real".

Why are you so against showing yourself? You could always wear a mask.

The B&O P6 sounds better to my headphone than that of Mania

Devialet sounds better but almost unnoticeable, like if the Studio6 is 80% great the Devialet will be around 82% great. But people.... why will you say "Im getting the Devialet".... are you not even considering the price? Devialet cost 1200 canadian dollars while you can get the Studio6 now for 160 CAD (i just got mine)... Dont tell me you guys are willing to pay and extra 1040 CAD for the extra 2% greatness! HK Studio6 for me all the way, I can buy 8 Studio6 with the same money you buying 1 Devialet and if you hook all those 8 Studio6 together and play them Im sure it'll blow the 1 Divialet into outer space ; )

In Denmark the B&O speaker is dkr. 2000 while the Mania is dkr. 6500... So the speaker that costs 3.25x more is better? Colour me surprised :P

Quite dissapointed with the Mania in this video. However, I think it shall be a lot better “in live”. Cannot imagine that there is such a big difference respectively that the Mania is so poor in real life, having watched different videos and read various tests. Thanks a lot for the comparison.

Is this a fair comparison? The Mania is a portal Bluetooth speaker and the Beoplay 9 is impressive but It is a home speaker.

its not a software issue, its the hardware inside thats buggin out or struggle to proces connecting, cause their ram memmory is very low ..

I had the big phantom gold and now have the mania. The mania goers as low as the bigger Devialet products for sure. It’s crazy what they’ve been able to do. It’s worth every penny. Be sure to also buy the charging dock and the new carrying case they’ve released. It’s amazing

Onyx wins hands down A for effort for devialet

So i looked at this speaker for months, before making a decision. I made the decision to get the phantom instead😂 however had the opportunity to try the mania and i got to say the speaker kicks hard. But loving the phantom even more, definitely one of the beat investments into sound i have made. Would put it up their with Focal.

I have an important question: I got mine yesterday, i love the sound basically, but if i listen to some tracks with an hard bass like some house or techno tracks and adjust bass/treble to plus 3 or higher and i go at 75% volume, than it sounds like the mania couldn’t handle that bass, it sounds like overdrive, like the membranes hit something or the air couldn’t get out from the inside… but that’s only with bass heavy songs, in other normal songs i could set it to +3 or so and go to 100% volume without this problem, so inreally don’t know if it’s normal because it’s simply to much bass for this thing if i put the eq to plus or if my mania is broken… 🤔 And it’s only on one side, not on the other which is strange too, but that could eventually be because it’s not exactly the same on the inside on both sides ? The thing is, i think if the speaker would be broken, then it wouldn’t play without distortion if i put the eq on neutral and 100% volume because that’s allready bass heavy, or am i wrong ? But at the same time i am a little bit disappointed because on a premium brand with the i think most expensive speaker in this class that shouldn’t be possible to acchieve an distortion in my opinion, even if i adjust the bass to +6! Could you please try this song and put the bass to +6 and go about 70% so i know if i have to send it back or its normal ? The song was: „Kolter - washed away“ and i heard it on spotify via airplay

better sound than I expected

I have both and I can tell you that the mania is so much more powerful than the p6 it’s power can probably be compared to much much bigger speakers from all other brands. Devialet has hit the ball out of the park! Absolutely love it!

The mania sound like expensive Bose(muddy). For the money EV Everse 8 is wayyy better. You can say but…. The old Vifa Copenhagen is much better in sound quality.

There is no way a Devialet Mania outperforms an A9. I have two A9s and used to have a Devialet Phantom. The phantom was not close in terms of clarity than the A9s.

You are playing this speaker wrong. The woofers should be facing sideways. That is wrong way you are playing it.

I believe if you disable Alexa on the Mania, popping noise goes away. Someone let me know if this helps. ✅🍿

I think the clear winner here is the Harman Kardon. At 7 times the price the Devialet Mania 'premium' just isn't justified

I dont know if it is the way you tested it but to me in this video the Mania doesn't sound good at all. Muddy and unclear. I hope its better in real life and/or that you can alter the way you test to give a better representation. Thanks though

As a Mania owner for its size it pushes the boundaries between the possibile and impossible. as for its size the output is similar to speaker twice or 3 times its size and the details when you hear it is closer to a hifi system than a normal Bluetooth speaker I love it

The video completly misses the form factor. Even the bass between these speakers is just comparable: The Mania is a absolute sensation. HK = 10l volume, Mania =4,5l volume.
