  • I have been keeping this one from you guys for a while now. How catfish react to jell-o chicken underwater! After browsing youtube I could not find any good videos of catfishing underwater. It is important to know how the fish are reacting to your baits down there! Jell-o chicken is quiet the controversial bait, so I figured this should be the first test. Jell-o chicken catfish bait catches fish! You will see here in this video. Underwater catfish footage can be so useful to us as anglers so use this to your advantage! A shout out to go fish cam for making such a versatile camera. The go fish cam trult gets great quality footage despite my slightly silty river. Without further a due, enjoy this video of me catching catfish on jell-o chicken from underwater.

Out of curiosity I wonder if you try using a nice ripened strawberry as bait how well it world work, catfish are bottom feeders after all & will eat almost anything. It might just be the smell of the strawberries or the chicken that attracts them. Dad use to let chicken livers sit out in the sun so they'd get very stinky & the catfish bit on them pretty good too.
Some of the store bought fruit barely has any flavor now days. I'd make sure they're pretty ripened or even homegrown.

You want the best catfish bait chicken gizzards left out side in 90° temperature for a week trust me till damn near make you puke but you'll catch catfish like you never caught them before the stinkier and the nastier the bait the better off you are because they can smell it and they can track it especially if you drop it in and you see it just a cloud of stink come off of it

I prefer hotdogs to chicken, less I can find chicken gizzards. They stay on the hook better.
