Cash is King!
How did the scammer get her bank password? Just having the Account number and sort code shouldn't be enough.
Yeah, I don't get that either....
I transfer cash to my wifes account and vice versa but there's no way I can withdraw any cash from her. Account number and sort code are for money in and that's all!
She clicked on a link and a RAT tool got installed. Easy peasy lemon squeezy :D
It's an Indian hindu name ! Lots of scammers from India.

Glad She Caught something wasn't right & Stopped the Scammer before they Cleaned out the Account. There's a Special place in Hell for people that Prey on the Elderly!!!

If I should ever decide to sell something on the internet (which I will never do!!!) I would ask for cash!!! Period!!! Never a transfer!! I’m also an older person but I’m not stupid, especially about technology - older people need to learn about these scams - the local senior center quite possibly have information or speakers doing exactly this. If you are or have an older person in your family, please help them understand about these scams, if they don’t already know!!
Whenever an indian or pakistani looking/sounding person is involved...it's most likely a scam.
Unfortunately, most legitimate businesses uses these same people as their customer service reps...which makes it extremely difficult to weed out the scammers.
