Making barrister door homemade hinges

How to make a barrister door with homemade hinges. Now that I have made the display cabinet structure and the door, in this woodworking project I decided to make this homemade hinge to install a door like a barrister door.

Love the way you use the actual pieces for alignment to create a true fit. I rely too much on accurately measuring and I'm always off a bit. This technique looks like a good solution. Thanks for sharing.

I watched this video to better understand the way that a barrister bookcase works. Maybe someday I will make one or convert an existing bookcase to this design, but for now, the video was very enjoyable and helped me to understand the mechanism. Great presentation and explanation!
