Ebba never performs when it counts but she's my favorite and I want her to win. Kerttu is a hard no, she's not good enough at that distance.

I love the prediction "Favourite: Norway. Outsiders: None!". Unfortunately, it is true.

The only ones i disagree with is that Faendrich should also be an outsider for the sprint (women), Krueger 100% should be on the outsider list for 15K free and for me i think Frida is the favorite for 10K free and Jessie is on the outsider instead

Although much depends on the courses used for every competition. If it's flatter/easier individual start course then might change to Diggins in 10k and if course is hard enough then 50k goes to Niskanen in my predictions. Would love to know long way before just like when cycling fans check out parkour of Tour de France even a year before and they are already going 'it suits him more than him', 'bad news for him', etc.
I don’t think the track will have that much to say. The best skiers is the best skiers anyway (read Klæbo)

@@nordicskiing Lillehammer showed us how much difference track could provide. But yeah, Klaebo will be hard to overcome no matter where they are racing, they would have to climb up the Triglav to drop him.
Also when doing that list I forgot how badly Karlsson is with accumulated stress. So it will be interesting in 30k - her superhuman endurance vs accumulated stress after so many days of competing.
Good prediction, i think Ebba Andersson Will win the 10k and Anger is def a outsider in the sprint if he has a good day
Ebba is definitely one of the favorites for the 10k

klaebo will take every mass start and sprint in the championship and kruger is the favorite to win the 15k free but golberg, amundsen or klaebo are not gonna give it easy so thats gonna be close and on women side karlsson is gonna take the mass starts, skistad is gonna take the sprint and ebba anderson is gonna win the 10k free and on the team races sweden is gonna win everything on the women side and norway on the men side

Jessie Diggins will have a hard time in the skiathlon if the pace is tough from the start. Her classic technique is awful. The 10km and team sprint are her best chances at getting medals. They relay is also a small chance, but again, Americans lose contact after the first classic leg and often play catchup. The saving grace for them is that Johaug retired and the Russians aren’t there for political reasons.
True that. Jessie need some luck to keep up with Frida etc on the classic part. I think the US can do a good team sprint - like in Pyeongchang 2018 ;)
Agreed. I'm American, and I don't think the Americans will podium in anything. We are just not good at championships for whatever reason.

The problem is she is starting in too many races, well, she races all distances. I don´t understand why she participated yesterday. Just a waste of power. The skiathlon tomorrow will be something else

The US can win a medal in reelay too. 30 k will be tough for Jessie since it´s in classical style. In the Beijing Olympics Jessie won a silver after Johaug but that was in free style
Klaebo is not favorite for 50 kilometers, sorry to tell you that, Goldberg, Tonseth- maybe. Also, I would not discount Jens Burman too. But not Klaebo, seriously.
Well, it is only unlucky that he isn't the reigning champion on 50k.. So the prediction can't be THAT far off.😅
Klaebo might be too tired for the 50km. All that gold will be too heavy around his neck.
