The most clever and functional cockpit afloat. An interior that has all the quality earmarks of a Beneteau as well. Someone allowed a group of very talented people have a go at a clean sheet of paper - they made this! Thanks for the tour, Nick (don't edit that out later).
@@adrenazanetti3660 That's nonsense. A lot of self-proclaimed experts continue to say that, actually that no production sail boat is blue water capable, but several Beneteau monohuls have completed circumnavigations and many more have crossed the Atlantic, as for instance Sailing Sunday.
There's so many boats that make you go "wow" on your channel, but this does it - not for the sheer luxury, but for the cleverness in design. One, if not the, best layout afloat I've seen. An absolute dream. Thanks Nick.
I watch all your videos and I have fallen in love with many boats, but this is the first time I have wanted one. That's the perfect ship for me. Thank you for sharing.
Very flexible boat for the people on board. Lovely spacy accommodations that are light due to hatches and light wood. I like that the boat is easy to maintain particularly if you becalmed or in rough weather when something goes round. Excellent boat.
Also love love the configuration of the cockpit tables to each side over a single large table!!! Very very user friendly design there! Great job Bene!!
Clever things on this boat, the garage is a good addition and it seems rather easy to sail with only a couple of people which is great, a lovely yacht thanks for sharing Nick!
Sailing boat interiors like this are always so much more inviting than motor yachts. If only somebody could make this boat, except... - No masts, sails, or ropes. - 200 kWh battery pack to drive an efficient torpedo/pod motor. - Entire deck (and beach deck) covered with solar panels to help charge the battery. - Diesel generator (always operates at optimum speed, when in use) to help charge battery, if needed. - 75+ mile range on battery+solar top up, use generator if you really need to go further in a day, and to provide a total range of 250 miles.
Very nice boat, with good indoor space for the size of sailing monohul. I especially like the cockpit, which seems well protected and in the same time you have a walkway from the accommodation under deck to the rear between the tables, so you don't have to ask people sitting in the cockpit to get up, every time you need to go out on the deck. The older monohuls in this class depreciate hugely, which is further a thing to consider for new buyers of old boats: Depreciation is horrible, when you buy new, but a friend, when you can only afford to buy used! You can scoop up a good Beneteau or Bavaria or other of those brands monohuls in this class and size for about 100k Euro about a decade old in the charter business, especially if you look to Croatia and that area. And yes, several has done circumnavigations in these type of boats and many more have crossed the Atlantic Ocean, as for instance sailing and full time living aboard channel Sailing Sunday. I would prefer a catamaran though. More stable at anchor, and I would not chose to dock much at all, where the prices for a monohul is of course much cheaper in most marinas.
A beautiful boat. I've always liked the Beneteau, They have always made lovely boats. France for a lot of people wouldn't spring to mins as a forerunner in leisure craft. But you have Jeanneau, and others to add to a list of quality builds from there. They built the Queen Mary 2 there too as well. A lot of boat for the money.
Hi Nick, And thank you for this empresive Sailboat from Beneteau Oceanis 54 starting with the garage on the back a nice feature the big cockpit with the double helm nice or i see also some new idears about that I love the light color wood choise makes it very spacious 3 cabines all ensuite looks great and even a sail locker or crew space or for a teenager Thanks again Nick thats a great start for a new week ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi Nick. An absolutely gorgeous boat, great design and fitout. This is just the sort of yacht you want your best mate to own to use as the "mothership" for those weekends away..... lovely. And of course....being a gentleman... I won't mention the cricket......Howzat! Cheers S
Not a unique comment I’m sure, but I am captivated by the interiors on these yachts…… they seem (by necessity ?) to be so much more social and cohesive for a family or group of friends……. No doubt as a result, they are more limited for a long passage, if you wanted to escape from someone 🤔 As usual with a Beneteau, the quality is obvious and exquisite…….. I wish I had the years in me to learn to sail such a craft, dinghy’s were a feature in my far distant past…….. power ever since. One day 🇬🇧🙂
What an absolute gorgeous boat and I like very very much great lot of thought has been put into it and because I would if I ever get one be a solo sailer this is the boat for me
Wonderful video and great narration on all thid yacht has to offer!!! For a 54' boat it is laid out perfectly in it's design. The price isnt bad at at all considering what one is getting with this yacht!!! Thank you Nick!!!
Best holiday I ever had sailing around the Greek islands, mooring up on an island that had a restaurant on and nothing else, gas only, large blocks of ice for refrigeration, who uses the least amount of fuel competition etc, then watching the parents worse for wear on the tenders trying to get back to the right yacht,
Amazing layout on such a small sailboat. Sometimes I'm not impressed with how cramp the sailboats feel at this size, but not a problem here at all. Personally I think that third head is excessive though, and would give over more space to the third bedroom/galley. Might even have that third bedroom be an office/den space instead, with a Pullman berth.
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but hey ho for a sailing yacht what a nicely packaged and furnished yacht, it's such a big shame I have no idea how to sail,so for me to much canvas not enough engines. If I had the knowledge I'd be happy to own a 54ft sailing yacht like this . I appreciate the tour although not for but I still can appreciate the craftwork, design and execution as a yacht such as this,Grand 🤗👌🖖
A beautiful laid out interior. I like how you have those custom options to put your own stamp on the boat. Clever design to make things get-at-able. Great tour as always Nick. Have you been sailing ?
Hello Again, Once more Nick a really informative review of a very cleverly designed boat, the manufacture and future owners should be pleased. Regards, RichardA.
Nick, never commented on a video before, but thank you for all you do! Today was a significant anniversary for you and I (though you wouldn't know it haha). I started watching your channel during Covid, (March or April of 2020) and since then have watched one of your videos every day when I sit down for lunch since then, missing only a handful of days. Today I ran out of videos to watch! Thanks for the years of daily enterntainment, now I guess I'll have to stick to watching twice a week when you upload, or rewatch some older ones :)! PS. In case you were wondering, my favorite yacht you have toured was the Lazzarra 92 you posted back in 2020. The atrium space was unlike anything I have seen and have yet to see in another yacht. I liked the Aquastar 430 for that same open feeling (and it being more realistically in my price range haha). Was wondering your thoughts on those boats and if you have a favorite you have toured! Apologize for the rant and keep up the amazing work, has been great watching the channel grow.
Hi Nick, nothing wrong with the boat and layout BUT who needs a mini dishwasher on a yacht (practicality when heeling etc) when a sink and marigold gloves would be a better option 😎 and utalise the space for a freezer. However sail boating isnt my thing, its too complicated for my brain, unless someone wants to take me out for a couple days and educate me 🧐 (offers accepted). Cheers DougT
@@AQUAHOLIC Nick, your right BUT it's just me out of sync with modern life 🥺 as if a dish washer (in general) using unknown litres of water, detergents, cycle time when a sink of 5 litres and a pair of marigold will do baffles me 🧐 Rant over 😂 Cheers DougT
I'm fascinated by sailboats, but having only worked on superyachts, I much prefer those. I had the opportunity to crew a sailboat and a catamaran and I turned it down because the pay was so low, but I think about it now and should have done it for the experience. But youth does not afford wisdom.
Very nice, and great value. Would be nicer without the extra heads, and the bigger galley, so good to know that is an option. But would still spend my money on a motor yacht. If I had said money...
Hey Nick, great review. I follow some sailing channels and I know for a fact that sailing is not for me. It’s too much labour and exhaustion. The boat is nice though, but, to each their own.
Buy a Nordhavn 75 & hire a crew. Then just fly your private jet down to the Med whenever you feel like it & away you go. Where's the problem with that?
Comparing value for money, the sailing yacht wins every time. This is a luxury boat, 54 feet long with all the luxury. For what you pay for a 35 footer, motorboat...
its a nice looking boat. But with bolted on keel, non protected rudders just is not really the safest option, it is however the cheaper way of constructing a boat, thats why they do it. ( yes I know that twin rudders reduce weather helm) . Also the fact you have to pay extra for a 31l freezer or you're stuck with that tiny 16l one is just insane. But I suppose this boat is designed for costal cruising really.
Would much rather have the laundry where the 2nd cabin en suite is ! 2 full heads are good enough for sailing but then again this is really built to sit at docks rather than blue water sailing. Not comfortable with that open aft cockpit when you’re mid Atlantic/pacific in a storm! 😂🤣 otherwise a pop of color in that bland interior and it’s my dream home! Def a great upgrade from my Ocianis 40!

Definitely more suited to dock living as opposed to true blue water sailing 👍🏼
