I was wondering if the Java reeds you played were red box (filed) or green box (unfiled). I find that I like the filed much better. I think you sounded best all-around on the Hard Java. Beautiful playing!
You did say that the lèger was a 4 and that a Légère 4 is harder than other 4’s. I think if you like 3.5 Java a fair comparison would be a Légère 3. But you do like hard reeds on a wide opening. (Which is interesting in itself) . Like another poster commented, please try the American Cut. It is sensational, So expressive. I think you will be really surprised. If Légère see this video, they will give you some to try for free. For anyone else reading this, placement of légère reeds, as mentioned in the video, is crucial. Usually right at the tip of the beak, That is definitely a downside. So I find the sweet spot and leave it on the mouthpiece until I have a reason to change it. Something I would never do with cane, but in normal temperatures the légère will not warp. Anyway, I loved your playing, your sound and with the effects I heard a lot of Kirk Whalum going on. You got a new subscriber 😀
Interesting Post. I am going to have to try the Fibracel. I do play the Legere Signatures 2-3 , Vandoren Java Green, ZZ and Blues and Lupafaros. I want to try out the the American Cut but the Fibracel did not sound as sanitized as the Legere sounds to me. Q: What were you going after adding the baffle to the Link? Just interested in your thought processes with that one? BTW, I think the Java 3.5 had the most flavor in this video. Looking forward to you other content....Subscribed.
What’s the difference between a music lesson and a christian music lesson. Why put yourself in a box that is a 50/50 chance that you won;t get to your point because you labeled yourself and i can’t in good faith , for lack of better words, continue to watch, and it is of great interest to me. But the unnecessary magic is a turn off. Good luck brother.

Fibracel 5??? I play on legere american cut 2,75. I can't imagine that mean 5! Sorry for my english
