Can I ask you a question? Is it possible to achieve the same thing if i use just an Ipad, IPad port to USB (female), and a midi in & out to USB (male) to plug to my electric piano without having to have the audio interface. What I meant is that 1. I plug my electric keyboard to the mixer for the sound output. 2. Have the Midi In & Out to the electric keyboard and the USB (male) to the IPad (female). 3. Then use the IPad app (Garageband) to change the sounds for the live performance Question: If it is possible, will there be possibility that the latency is there? Thanks a lot :D

I don’t think you need an audio interface here. The midi keyboard is sending midi to the iPad and the audio should be coming out of the iPad to the speakers or your interface. If it’s an older iPad you’ll have a headphone output. If it’s a newer iPad it’s a ball ache. The whole iPad music making is an absolute farce. Yes there are some phenomenal apps but you need a TON of other stuff to make it all work. You’d be best just saving up and getting a really good stage keyboard like a used roland fantom. You can mix all your apps audio within your iPad via an app called audiobus ❤

Bose s1 is NOT good for a midi keyboard... sounds horrible......not really made for electric sounds..

Hi man, thank you. In fact I think I have missed something, perhaps due to my poor language understanding. I tried the following setup: iPad Pro 11 3rd gen, TwelveSouth StayGo Docking Station, Presonus Audiobox iTwo, and obviously a midi keybaord. It does not work. iPad and Presonus don't see each other. I don't understand what I'm missing. For sure I can't understand the routing that the several signals should take through the only usb-C socket. 😕

What’s the difference between a music lesson and a christian music lesson. Why put yourself in a box that is a 50/50 chance that you won;t get to your point because you labeled yourself and i can’t in good faith , for lack of better words, continue to watch, and it is of great interest to me. But the unnecessary magic is a turn off. Good luck brother.

I was wondering if the Java reeds you played were red box (filed) or green box (unfiled). I find that I like the filed much better. I think you sounded best all-around on the Hard Java. Beautiful playing!

The 48v button is for phantom powered mics. It should normally not have an influence on the ipads sound coming through or not?!

You did say that the lèger was a 4 and that a Légère 4 is harder than other 4’s. I think if you like 3.5 Java a fair comparison would be a Légère 3. But you do like hard reeds on a wide opening. (Which is interesting in itself) . Like another poster commented, please try the American Cut. It is sensational, So expressive. I think you will be really surprised. If Légère see this video, they will give you some to try for free. For anyone else reading this, placement of légère reeds, as mentioned in the video, is crucial. Usually right at the tip of the beak, That is definitely a downside. So I find the sweet spot and leave it on the mouthpiece until I have a reason to change it. Something I would never do with cane, but in normal temperatures the légère will not warp. Anyway, I loved your playing, your sound and with the effects I heard a lot of Kirk Whalum going on. You got a new subscriber 😀

Interesting Post. I am going to have to try the Fibracel. I do play the Legere Signatures 2-3 , Vandoren Java Green, ZZ and Blues and Lupafaros. I want to try out the the American Cut but the Fibracel did not sound as sanitized as the Legere sounds to me. Q: What were you going after adding the baffle to the Link? Just interested in your thought processes with that one? BTW, I think the Java 3.5 had the most flavor in this video. Looking forward to you other content....Subscribed.
