Our 5 speed 200d went 180 on the speedo. And it surely didnt go less than 170 real kph because once i was following it with another car and it easily went 160.
250D OM602, it's 2valve/cylinder and it's much better at lower rpm's than OM605. OM602 also doesn't need anything electricity so if your alternator breaks while driving and if the battery dies, you can still drive if you don't turn off the engine. In last year when I was going back to home and distance was 390km, my alternator was broke and it was also raining but I knew than I can drive if I don't turn off the engine :)
@slrphoto Thanks for the answer. Do you know if there is a difference in the gearbox of the 250D OM602 and the 250D turbo OM602. I heard that de turbo version has a gearbox with longer ratio so at 5th gear at 120-130 km, you are around 2000-2300 rpms. But not sure if that's the manual or automatic transmission. I currently have a 250D OM602 but try to find a turbo version which is not easy and very expensive now, especially the last 2, 3 years.
@@mbz4652 I think OM602 turbo is only with automatic transmission. I have had once W124 with automatic transmission but it was 300D sedan, 1985 and OM603. But in my current W124 250D fuel pump is now better adjustment. Better acceleration and fuel consumption is only 4,38l/100km, it’s tested. And there is also now about 105hp
@slrphoto OM602 turbo also comes with manual transmission. To me, manual transmission is better in this car. It's much more fun to drive. How did you adjust the fuel pump and decreased your fuel consumption? I also have a 250D OM602. Never heard of adjusting the fuel pump to get better fuel consumption and better acceleration on the 250D. 4,38/100km is a huge improvement.
I guess there must be something wrong with my 200T. Over 120 it gets uncomfortably loud, but with this one it seems you mostly hear wind noise.

I love this car ❤ ! especially this Diesel one, not so fast but so reliable :)
I think it is not a turbo diesel isn’t it?
You are right, its a naturally aspirated diesel engine, no turbo :)
Which engine is better and more reliable: 250D OM602 or 250D OM605?

@@mbz4652 I didn’t do that adjustment myself so I’m not sure how you can do that
whats your fuel consumption driving like this?
I cant tell, but normal driving is like 7 Liters / 100KM
My father's 250d did 190 on odometer.....
Thats very fast for this car :)
How many gears?
Manual 5 Gear :)
Automatic? 4 or 5 gang???
5 Gear Manual Transmission
I have 2.5D, 4 gear automatic. 160 km/h 😅
