I thought of a video idea I haven't really seen much of. At what point does a few grains of arrow weight start to make a difference for a sight tape? For instance, 5gr difference... 10gr... 15gr... at what yardage do we start to see the variance? how much fps change is there?
Average person wont see a difference at 5 grains or less out to 50-60 yards. The longer the distance the more difference you will see... but people that worry about a couple grains and cant shoot a vegas 300 will never see the difference. 10 grains is just far too much variance and we should always strive to have arrows as close as possible...but do I worry about a grain or 2? No, not usually. These arrows LOOK nice, but its all just marketing. They will not perform better than all the great arrows already available and for far less money. The one-off size provides nothing but limitations. A 4mm and 5mm are as close in size as they need to be... to make an arrow in between those is just ridiculous and almost like giving someone the finger and calling them stupid as you take their money. UV seems to be real hot with the new bowhunters that speak like they've been doing it for 10 years, but cant shoot worth a damn, and want to buy their way into better shooting. They do make okay stuff, but their price is always a bit much. Other companies make stuff just as well for far less.
Love UV and love my UV Button and Slider, but I'm not paying $440 for a dozen arrows. No way. My RIP TKO's are bullet proof and work amazing and are dang near 1/2 that price.
Agreed. I love my UV button and Slider, but $440 a dozen is damn near insulting - and I don't mind spending on higher end archery equipment. There are just too many quality arrow alternatives at 1/2 to 2/3 the price. I can't see this product making it in the long run.
Uv sliders are over priced and over rated 😂. Much like their arrows. Just bought gold top pierce platinums for $170 out the door. Slapped a 20grain fact weight in to total. $190 then I’ll spend about $12-15 on some fletchings. $205 on a dozen. Half the price and when cut down and spine aligned will perform as good or better than these. I have options for making changes and with a 250 spine I’m shooting a 462 grain arrow that’s flat and hits like a Mack truck. And for half the cost. Tuning and practice are the only two things that’s improving groups
Looking for some feedback on how these fly. Saw them in person at TAC and they look really nice. Pricing seems high for 6 but with the included outserts and field points they are really ready to go without other components and spending needed. I might be interested in Ti outserts but would want to run stock to start.
I shoot the 250 spine Sirius Gemini’s and get great results with them…… tried 6 of these today in the 300 spine because I keep getting told my LIFT will tune better with the weaker spine. No matter what you think about the cost and all the bashing of UV; I’m telling you these arrows are LEGIT!!!
Honestly? I forgot about the OMP FlightDeck and that's the thing I am most excited about in this video. Looking forward to grabbing one of those to slim down the workbench clutter with something functional (and gorgeous). *Components:* wait until you see those sales numbers! UV is going to take a lot of heat on pricing, regardless of their partnership with Victory to create a net-new arrow size (high R&D cost and revenue sharing can't be ignored in launch pricing). Currently they're _way_ heavier than I'd prefer with 75gr up front, but am thrilled with the GPI and build quality. I suspect there will be a strong market within those who can afford these in bareshaft form to add some 30-40gr titanium goodness. *Vanes:* ooooh, I want to grab these for a H2H against the Mini Sabres.
There's no denying that they do have high quality materials and how they have a high-spec manufacturing process; they're great arrows like all of their other products. The price tags are high for everything they make, but pretty much everything I've used from them has been worth that cost. Tough to say; from what it seems they fly really well. For those where money is no objection and they legitimately don't have the time to resource and tinker, I can see the price point as worth the cost; but that's only a specific niche of people.
Looks pretty impressive, but I wonder if Ultraview will ever produce a product that the average person can afford with the intent to win by capturing market share. I think there are enough people with disposable income where these arrows will find a niche market and be something that archery snobs LOVE to show off because of the price tag.
Waiting for them to arrive at my place and put them through my own test. I have always had good experience with Victory’s arrows line up. Indeed, it is pricey for half a dozen.
They are expensive but before I did my own arrows I had a pro shop make up some Easton Axis' and buddy it wasn't cheap either. That said they are out of my price range for use, but so are new bows, most camo etc.
Gold tip velocity xt with the 50gn inserts good enough for me. My equipment doesn't make mistakes, I do. If you aren't to the point where you've realized that you don't need perpetual equipment upgrades to shoot better groups... Then I guess go throw on some sitka, get a Garmin sight for hoyts newest carbon bow, load a bunch of these arrows in your quiver and see if you shoot more deer this year
Beautiful arrows. I have to give it to them they make the most thought out innovative equipment in the world. Can you imagine what a bow of theirs would be. Great job UV "CODY & COMPANY"!!!!!!!
While i understand that allure of nice packaging, as a consumer i wish companies would find the cheapest packing they can get while still protecting the product. Its a completely useless aspect that we, the customer, are paying for. They could probably save a little on cost by going cheaper.
Bought 6 , shot them , bought 6 more , I m .not a rich person but over the years I’ve learned you will always get what you pay for . I spend a lot of time in a ground blind and I like putting myself in the best position to succeed . There will always be someone trying to improve equipment and we should be happy about that. In my opinion Ultra View has some young people with great ideas.
Call me crazy…… I really don’t care because I love bow hunting and I work hard to have what I want!!!! Bought a dozen UV 1K arrows and had the cut to 29.5 carbon to carbon. They came in at 472 grains………. Stripped them down put a 4” Onestringer wrap and 3 fletched left helical with 3” Silent Knights (my vane of choice) and lost 5 grains in the back end!! 467 grain (higher foc) 4.5mm missile!! I was back and forth last year on 4mm or 5mm but I really like the flight and grouping I’m getting with the 4.5! Now if Josh J will make us some 50 grain titanium half outs for 4.5 mm arrows!!!
i’ll stick with my RIP TKO‘s the only problem is I emailed you a question about components the ones that you have and I haven’t gotten a response yet. I’m about to place an order but I need a response. Thank you.
I shoot the Bloodline Easton 400 arrow. There actually pretty good. But I'm looking to switch up to a different arrow what do you recommend that's equivalent to that arrow.
I would go with V1 RIP TKOs in 5mm, or the easton sonic match grade. The sonics are a real winner in weight and size while still using standard inserts. They are just easy to build. Easton, victory, and black eagle are the only 3 arrows worth looking at IMO.
Dude, please use a v-block on that grain scale, for the sake of consistency. Also, a test dial indicator on that arrow spinner would be better than your calibrated eye.
If the 220 a half dozen is including an insert/outsert (assuming the insert/outsert is equal quality to the rest of the after market) it’s not bad. Expensive, sure. But price out some .001 victory TKOs and iron will components and I’d bet we’re close.
This is what we pay for top arrows in Canada.. I’m scared to see what the exchange rate price is. I have no issue spending money on arrows but I would rather for victory’s Or like gold tip air strikes with TI hardware.. similar price when all built up but I have allot of miles in the TI hardware every other half out has let me down fairly quickly.
Can you please make some titanium inserts and collars for this product. I will buy from you when you have them in stock. I have your 4mm and 5mm titanium products and would gladly buy your 4.5mm
Kept the weakest part of a 4mm for what’s supposed to be “best of both worlds”…the outsert. This looks to cover very little of the shaft internally and externally from what reviews are showing so far. If you have hands on experience plz correct me. Which means it still has the propensity to bend. Better, longer insert with a collar and they hit it out of the park. Currently shooting x10 parallels with iron will components, finished arrow $39/ shaft + build time. If UV made a better front half this would be intriguing to cut build time.
The same guys crying about the price buy over priced camo, bows, sights… etc. smh These arrows look awesome! And I build my own, but it’s very time consuming. Why not pay a little extra for better quality? People just love to complain! Great video brother!
it takes very little time to build your own arrows plus all they doing is slapping a white wrap on it and there crappy short insert and when they do it you get what you get nothing custom about that. if we do it we get the best ethics parts just as good victory arrow at the weight and foc we want
Went online to see if fletching kit was available for these arrows and yes they are for 34.99$$ You get 7 wraps and 20 vanes……… why not 21?? I have to buy another kit to finish fletching the 7th arrow??
1k arrows came out almost 20 years ago so old tech except for the size. These are to expensive. You can buy the strongest arrow victory makes in elite with titanium inserts from MfJJ and fletch with what you like plus get the field points way cheaper than $440 a dozen. What broadheads come with these arrows?

Over 90% of strings are made with the twist direction that gives people a natural left spin. If your arrow has a natural right indexing, you are in a small minority.
@@kenwiltsie6920 Yes it was because of the direction the strings were twisted during the building process. A few builders will have strings the index right, but 9/10 strings will index towards the left.
Kolby may as well have worn a black turtleneck for this one.
What component setup do you run on the TKOs?
UV thinks it's the Bentley of the archery world lol...i purchased the UV slider and button but asking $220 for 6 arrows is insane.
@@chrisjon9753 it's really not it comes with all the components needed.
6 arrows the way they want to make them too not the way u want them
Uv sliders are over priced and over rated 😂.
@@dakotadickens8902love my axcel landslyde. Somehow cheaper than a UV Slider and lighter and better
I would love to see some sort of 50 gr outsert option. I also wish they mark each box with the grain weight since each box is within +/- .5 grains
So are the point threads proprietary as well? It looks like standard 8 x 32 threads, at least that's what I hope they would be.
@Josh, do you have any insight on UV or victory selling just the shafts?
Looking for some feedback on how these fly. Saw them in person at TAC and they look really nice. Pricing seems high for 6 but with the included outserts and field points they are really ready to go without other components and spending needed. I might be interested in Ti outserts but would want to run stock to start.
Big fan of Sirius and a little bit cheaper. Great video.
Cant wait to try them in the spring. Very similar to my current set up but i wont have to sit there and fletch cut and square them.
Don't they come 31", still have to cut, square and install inserts?
So they are victory vap’s with a different insert?
Perfect arrows for TAC!! 😂😂😂😂
What spine are these arrows in the video?250?
It would be really interesting to see some sort of down range decibel comparison of different arrow setups.
I absolutely Love It!!!
Sirius Gemini review please
The Archery market has gotten extremely out of hand 😢
Looks pretty impressive, but I wonder if Ultraview will ever produce a product that the average person can afford with the intent to win by capturing market share. I think there are enough people with disposable income where these arrows will find a niche market and be something that archery snobs LOVE to show off because of the price tag.
Waiting for them to arrive at my place and put them through my own test. I have always had good experience with Victory’s arrows line up. Indeed, it is pricey for half a dozen.
Not all bows clock left. Depends on string manufacturers
I don’t know about the arrows, but the packaging is phenomenal.😂
Just like a New Paint Job, on a Car !! Doesn't make it run any better, but sure sells faster ! What a Gimmick, $440.00 a dozen arrows. L.M.F.A.O !!
I want to see some testing and comparison videos. Do they actually shoot better and a TKO
Then I guess go throw on some sitka, get a Garmin sight for hoyts newest carbon bow, load a bunch of these arrows in your quiver and see if you shoot more deer this year
Are you going to do a long term review about them later? Or just let us all know what you hear about them?
What luminock fits on this arrows ? X nock ? G nock ? UV nock ?
Beautiful arrows. I have to give it to them they make the most thought out innovative equipment in the world. Can you imagine what a bow of theirs would be. Great job UV "CODY & COMPANY"!!!!!!!
looks like every other arrow out there with a white wrap lol
Do you offer a Veteran discount?
I’m going to pick up a half a dozen, but I’m also going to pick up some victories 4 mm also
Call me crazy…… I really don’t care because I love bow hunting and I work hard to have what I want!!!!
Wow and here I thought a full done up set of grizzly sticks was bad. Granted if you have them add weights it brings it up to what these cost.
Hey MFJJ. Can an arrow be built using dyeema fabric mixed with carbon to make the arrow stronger?
$220 a half dozen!!! That’s crazy, I pay $260 a dozen for the arrows I get. I thought mine were expensive
I always thought that true honest accuracy always all about the personal archers natural steadiness, timing of release
I'm good with basic carbon. I'll be buying 24 for that price.
i’ll stick with my RIP TKO‘s the only problem is I emailed you a question about components the ones that you have and I haven’t gotten a response yet.
Easton Sonic 6.0 is the same arrow different name
Dude, please use a v-block on that grain scale, for the sake of consistency. Also, a test dial indicator on that arrow spinner would be better than your calibrated eye.
If the 220 a half dozen is including an insert/outsert (assuming the insert/outsert is equal quality to the rest of the after market) it’s not bad. Expensive, sure. But price out some .001 victory TKOs and iron will components and I’d bet we’re close.
Would love to see a 50 grain Titanium half out
They’re beautiful.
Nice shirt!
I need to see some shots with the out of tune bow...
Bishop Archery still has the most expensive arrows on the market no matter what
Yeah but they never break.
Is that supposed to normalize the cost of these arrows?
If you like shooting them at concrete on purpose...
Not mentioning any names 😂
Kept the weakest part of a 4mm for what’s supposed to be “best of both worlds”…the outsert. This looks to cover very little of the shaft internally and externally from what reviews are showing so far. If you have hands on experience plz correct me. Which means it still has the propensity to bend. Better, longer insert with a collar and they hit it out of the park. Currently shooting x10 parallels with iron will components, finished arrow $39/ shaft + build time. If UV made a better front half this would be intriguing to cut build time.
The same guys crying about the price buy over priced camo, bows, sights… etc. smh
These arrows look awesome!
Mamba archery carries a few 1k weaved arrows
It will be interesting to see the accuracy!!! I hope that it's dope!!!!!
Went online to see if fletching kit was available for these arrows and yes they are for 34.99$$
You get 7 wraps and 20 vanes……… why not 21?? I have to buy another kit to finish fletching the 7th arrow??
1k arrows came out almost 20 years ago so old tech except for the size.
These are to expensive.
You can buy the strongest arrow victory makes in elite with titanium inserts from MfJJ and fletch with what you like plus get the field points way cheaper than $440 a dozen.
What broadheads come with these arrows?
YOU REMEMBER THAT TIME VICTORY REBRANDED MOMENTUM TDT'S FROM THE ASHBY FOUNDATION FOR CHRIS BEE.
Pepridge farm remembers.
Seriously. Just buy the grizzlystick version. Half the price all the potential.
And it's customized. Holy shit Batman.
If like to see a side by side comparison of higher quality pre fletched arrows.
So is it 120 or 220 for half dozen. You said it differently a few times
220
Well, that changes everything. If Chris Bee is going to shoot the. NOT !!
Why left helical?? Wonder if your arrows index right?
Over 90% of strings are made with the twist direction that gives people a natural left spin. If your arrow has a natural right indexing, you are in a small minority.
@@Muskiehunter92 I’ve had a few bows that give me the natural right indexing.
@@kenwiltsie6920 Yes it was because of the direction the strings were twisted during the building process. A few builders will have strings the index right, but 9/10 strings will index towards the left. Out of 15 of my local shooting buddies, every last one of our bows and some of us have multiple bow, all index left.
Do these not have the stupid spine align indicators like other victory shafts?
Yes
VAP TKO’s…nuff said
They look like they'd match my Obsession Fusion 6 with Stormy hardwoods..
do they make animals show up when you put your stand in the wrong tree
The fact that they are buying victory arrows and re selling them to you for a massive profit is insanity
My Easton axis’ are just fine.
Would you expect anything else for UV? Crazy expensive!
I just ordered 4 dozen for my upcoming Florida trip Panther hunt. I can’t wait…
I'd be willing to bet those are a reprofiled bohning x3 vane.
We always say don’t skimp out on the broadheads and arrows
These arrows DO NOT work in Australia.
So, did a quick calculation....
That is $698.45 per dozen Australian dollars before tax. I think tax on sporting goods is about 30%.
So, call it $1000 per dozen for arrows.....I suppose they are called Ultraveiw 1K Arrows for a reason 😅
That's ridiculous. They will be over $600 here in Canada too
Mamba archery makes a 1K Centrifugal weave arrow for $170 a dozen
Bishop Archery GOAT arrows are a lot more expensive, but I'm not sure if they'd be considered custom. Either way, I'll pass on the UV arrows.
50 grain titanium half out for the 1K’s please
