  • p0335 cranshaft position sensor.
1999 - 2002 crankshaft position sensor. A bad KNOCK SENSOR will also give other extraneous codes--at great expense to the owner. My CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR WAS INDEED LOOSE AND UNHOOKED. The sensor was not bad at all. I fasioned a good plug in and it was fine and the final error code was eliminated.

What I found is you need to unplug the sensor before you can get the heat cover off. From underneath you rotate the cover off then the sensor comes off of the mounting stud. Reverse to install. Insert sensor, install cover and then Plug it in. To hold the nut in your socket i used Teflon tape around the nut. It worked as expected. A deep well socket is essential. To remove the nut.

first time i heard that the knock senser was ever a problem fromother vids ive watched they stated they very seldom go bad and a code is usually from a bad wire or connecter.

I have some pictures how can I post them? The cover is over the sensor and the same nut holds the cover over the sensor with the same nut. Access the flanged nut from the front with deep well 10mm socket. Unplug the sensor first then loosen the nut. Once it's removed go under the car and pull the sensor cover off first rotating it counter clockwise off the sensor. The sensor being lose should come straight out towards the front of the van. Put the new sensor in place and then rotate the cover clockwise onto the sensors mounting stud. When putting the nut back on, I wrapped it with Teflon tape to make it thicker to stay in the socket without falling out. You can just see the stud looking straight down from the radiator hose. That's how I knew I got it back to the right spot to meet the threads on the stud.

I see no need to include video clips "ok now i place the socket onto the nut--now i turn counterclockwise--you will feel the nut coming loose--next pull out the socket and the nut" VIDEO WAS TOO LONG AS IT WAS
