- There has been a lot of hype about this lens, and there is good reason for it. Imagine having the quality of a prime lens, but in one unique package. That's the Sigma 28-45 f/1.8 Art. It's a beauty, and we love it.
We decided to take it out to the desert and photograph an off-road Mini Cooper at sunset. You be the judge. Is this a lens you would buy?

@@AnkuurStudios Oof I don't think anything can beat Leica colors. But I do love my FX6 a lot!
Sigma lenses are really the boss among others brands, cool, efficient and i would say affordable (not all but yeah)
They really are! Underrated, but this lens is honestly one of the best on the market in terms of value and what it brings to the table.
@@AnkuurStudios I just recently got the 35 f1.4 for Sony, Art series and I love the clarity of that lens. Its really amazing. I just wish this Sigma Zoom was just a tad bit wider and went from 24 - 45.

I'm fortunate enought to own the SL3 as well, and this lens is the next on my shopping list! Do you use your SL3 for video much? Thanks for the video in any case!
I want that camera so bad. I am thinking of getting the SL2s for video. I wish I had more time to shoot some video with it, but it was only in my hands for two weeks, and I mostly shot stills. Have you used the SL2s? The video clips I did capture on the SL3 were phenomenal. They color graded nicely and had a similar feel to the stills.
Why would you want it with Canon when you guys already have a better lens with the 28-70mm f2.?
Great question. The Canon 28-70 is extremely heavy, and the 28-45 is light. I rarely go above 50mm on the 28-70, unless I am shooting video, if that makes sense. What are your thoughts on the Canon 28-70?
it's not gonna come to canon,
but you have the 28-70 f2.0 so... either switch to sony or get that one :D
Shame it's still heavier and more expensive, which makes sense but still painful with the canon selection

@@AnkuurStudios I do recommend the sony, prefferably the FX3, the image, the ibis, the size, the sigma lenses on it, it's just an amazing camera,
I personally went with the FX3 recently and I absolutely love it, I got the sigma 24-70mm 2.8 mark ii, it's amazing and the close focusing distance is really really good, and for video I feel like 2.8 is shallow enough for most cases, and where I need something more shallow I have some prime lenses that go to 1.4.
Canon is amazing as well, but when I chose between sony and canon there were things about the canon that annoyed me a lot, that not all lenses fit all cameras, I mean they have older lenses and newer lenses, they don't allow sigma to make lenses for them anymore, their high end cameras like R5C don't shoot c-log2 wich is the main c-log profile, and they don't have a clean high iso like sony with 12.800, I've tried the c70 and it's amazing, but it's not full frame and it's big and heavy,
