The Simpsons hit and run was good, you're right about the little details that made all the difference, I got the game for Christmas and booted it up on Christmas day to find Homer dressed as father Christmas, I couldn't believe it!
It plays more like Driver 2. Same sort of car gameplay with minimal lame on foot sections. It may have been their answer to GTA, but it doesn't emulate it very well.

That's fun. It is the effort in things like that that make it a good game. Not perfect but I'm glad it's a thing.

Yeah that makes sense. Haven’t played Driver 2 but from what I gather yea I see that comparison more even tho the game was their GTA equivalent
