Great video man. Like I told you I just got all my Fanatec gear upgrading from a Logitech G29. Like you said. The V3 pedals work great. Those Heusinkveld's look great but I don't need to step up to that level. I need to get me a solid rig. I'm using a GT Omega knock off wheel stand and a folding camping chair LOL. But like you said, all sim racing gear is subjective to the person that is using them. Keep up the good work man.
Thanks man. All subjective brotha. I used to have the GT Omega Apex Wheelstand myself. It worked well with the CSL elite loadcell. I was in a wing back chair myself. Lol. The solid rig will be a nice upgrade. The omega prime rig is sweet and the cost is cheap and shipping was free for me. The chair is okay not the best, not the worst. I'll have a video with my modest setup. Yeah I will say the customization is great but not gonna make you blistering fast.
Excellent review. I found it honest , down to earth and informative. I really like when a person can relay their option to the everyday person whose looking without using great big out of this world words you have to look up to understand. I like how to said this is the reasons it's worth it and this is the reasons why it's not. I will stick with the csl non v3 pedals which work fine for now but I will surely upgrade to these at a later date when I slowly saving my pennies to do so without breaking the bank to do it now or shall I say having the bank representative yell at me (wife).
Thanks for the support. Yeah the wife has approved of my purchases because I give her all my money anyways. Lol. Yeah you can be fast on any set of pedals really, obviously a set of loadcells are much better as modulating your braking is so much better and easier. The upgrade from the csl pedals to the csl elite with loadcell was a significant upgrade. But to me anything else is really subjective. I love my Sprints and want to eventually get the ultimates but it's more about immersion and options than raw pace. The changes I can make are much better but overall I'd keep what you have for now. So many things to get too. Hopefully you earn more Brownie points and can get more gear. Lol
@@grayzedynamics Yes, I can not find the right stiffness to modulate the brake properly. I am only a teen so I can’t really push the brake all that hard.
@lennertester in the heusinkveld app, there is a brake force number. You can change that number which will decrease the strength of the brake. For me it was too soft, but you can reduce the number and find a setting that works. What you want to do is set it to a number you can hit all the time. If you play iRacing than 80% is that number.
Fantastic channel. I'm coming from Logitech pedals and thinking of csl V2 as my next step. From your review and others I feel like csl V2 are a good midpoint to jump to. Feedback for your vid: I like no background music Great attitude and audio video quality
Thanks for the feedback. That was an earlier video too. Got some of the same feedback. I like when people offer it becsuse it helps me do better each time. The V2's are sweet pedals and a great way to get consistent. The price point is excellent and you'll be able to do a bunch with them. You will definitely notice how much more consistent you can be. My HE sprint pedals are amazing. Although I will be upgrading myself to the VRS setup. Ultimately if you train yourself, and set them right, you'll be consistent every lap. Just avoid the mistakes I make. Hahahaha
Nice Review! I just upgraded the V3s to Aseteks. Love them, but I guess the only downside is you cant move them laterally. Some people complain that you can't drive them with socks on, but I use karting boots all the time anyway. I do like how adjustable the Sprints seem to be. I agree with you on justifying high prices. I thought about it alot and decided the pre order price was worth the stretch. Only time will tell if I'm any faster, but the brake is amazing.
Thanks Patric. Nice set of pedals. I've watched reviews of them. They look like great pedals. My only issue was I can't move them laterally. Since I won't use a clutch. Otherwise I'm sure they're great. As for the long term, who knows if we will be faster but we have some great new pedals. Lol
@@grayzedynamics Like you said, lots of quick people on budget gear like the G29. I guess subconsciously we buy upgrades to remove the doubt about equipment from the equation. I will say that in defense of high end pedals that a super firm brake will actually train your brain to build muscle memory because you actually have to use the muscles in your leg and foot to actuate the load cell or hydraulic sensor. Even my V3s with brake performance kit were so light it was more of a brake position memory rather than a muscle memory effect. (not sure if that makes sense?)
@@patricstandley I think it's the Sony vs. Westinghouse debate. Yes the Westinghouse will allow you to watch TV, but it's not a trustworthy brand compared to Sony. Not to mention the idea that it's just better. I'm surprised the V3's weren't stiff enough. With the right elastomer and set to 100% the elites were pretty darn firm. Maybe not Asetek firm but good enough to consistently turn laps. Although, I have seen quite a fee for sale. So maybe that is something. All I know is, as dudes and sim racers, we will justify as much as we can't afford. Lol.
@@grayzedynamics Yep, you've nailed it. Regarding the V3s even with the double green elastomers you still feel the squish and quite a bit of pedal travel (~2 inches). With the Asetek's the pedal only actually moves about 1 CM before it is rock solid and only measuring the pressure applied. It's probably not for everyone that likes some squish.
Also, we need to notify Codemasters that you are a UA-cam talent now and need access to F1 2022! I don't take the F1 games too seriously, but I do like to put in a few laps before a race to understand the track layout, DRS zones ect.
So ive been running all fanatec gear for the last 2 yrs . Zero issues and I love it. But Ive been thinking about some upgrades and everyone tells me do the pedals first and spend as much as you can on the pedals because that is the most important gear. My V3 feel good but i dont think Ive ever been 100% with them . I have the Sprints in the basket and Im sitting here looking at the button lol Press it press it press it !!!! lol Thanks for the reviews :)
Hahahaha. I do enjoy the Sprints. If you haven't ordered yet I would consider the VRS pedals. I hear they are amazing. And for the price can't be beaten.
@@grayzedynamics ran a GT3 race today and had only about 1 hr with them before the race. They feel so much better then my V3 pedals. I really like them and I haven't even had time to tweak them. During the race I felt they were getting more and more as the race went on. The V3 are a very good pedal , but the Sprints are better , plain and simple , just better. Later :)
The Sprints are amazing and I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone. The price is amazing and they are incredibly adjustable. Now that I have upgraded the last 2 main elements I needed on the rig I am super happy. I feel like fanatec just doesn't offer a grest set of midrange pedals. The V3 are good for what they are but the jump from CSL elites to those arent massive. The jump from either of those to the Sprints are massive. And the control and brake position is sweet. I no longer need to use the base plate so now I will sell to a friend. Anyways what pressure do you run them at the moment?

Hi Grayze, my sprints arrived one week ago and after A LOT of testing I just can not seen to get them right for me. What should I do?
What issue are you having? Trying to dial in the stiffness???
