Hello Bhuvana I have been using this Dishwasher for the past 3 weeks. And I have noticed there are 6 holes on the left inner wall of the dishwasher. Do you know why they are there? I don't remember seeing them before so I have a feeling they appeared recently... Feel like metal bumps.

Hi Praveena, the dishwasher does a thorough cleaning with the help of detergent and dries the utensils by using rinse aid, by using hot water. So actually there is no need to wash before using. But when the detergent is not fully used for any reason (like more detergent but less soiled dishes, tablet used for shorter programs etc.), then there are chances the detergent may not be fully removed from the dishes, and you may get a slippery feeling on the dishes which will go away only on washing. After all detergent and rinse aid are both chemicals. You need to wash only if you feel the soapiness, else it is safe to use directly from the dishwasher. But still there is no harm in washing before use. I follow this method most of the time. Hope my answer is helpful to you. Thank you.
Hi bhuvana. I recently got LG dishwsher 14place. At the time of installation, technician found that our water hardness is H4. But the technician suggested us to use just tablets, "not salt & rinse aid". But i feel like using both tablet and salt would do better wash&safety . Hi Kavitha, It is not economical to use tablets for all programs. For short duration programs it is economical to use detergent (hence with rinse aid and salt). And for your hardness of H4, you need to use salt and rinse aid even if using tablets. Hai Bhuvana madam & Atul ji, thank u so much . I follwed ur videos so many times when I had a doubt. Now iam bringing to ur notice with my problem. I belongs to AP, krishna Dt &. Very remote place. I brought LG DFB424FP & start working from 29th January 2020. Madam, one month i satisfied with the wash performance. Now it forms spots & white coat on steel utensils & some r not cleaned properly. I can't find the reason behind it. Only first time i filled with salt ,Till now (75 days) it doesn't show salt indicator. Rinse aid i filled 3times. The technician who installed also don't have knowledge about this. I used this one only based on ur videos madam. They r not set the hardness, rinse aid levels also. I asked about it they replied it will automatically set. Our water TDS is around 800ppm. Plzz give me a solution. Yesterday only i changed to H3 & L3. But I didn't find any change. I really feel very sad with this wash performance.
Hi Praveena, first of all thanks for writing in and sharing your issues. Sorry to note that after the initial one month, you have started having problems in cleaning and white coating, etc. Getting good results from a dishwasher is generally not an overnight affair but is dependent on a lot of issues. New machines give good results in the first few months. Getting the same results after that would require you to understand your machine and your conditions better. Like I said, good cleaning depends on the quality of water, degree of soiling of dishes, whether the dishes were kept soaked in water till loading, placement, brand/type of detergent, program cycle selection, etc. In case of high TDS water, it could take more time and effort to understand the above and to tune the operation to get good results. My dishwasher is more than 8 and half years old and initially it took me quite some time to understand and tune it to my requirement. So I want to first assure you not to despair. With a bit of effort in understanding the issues and overcoming them, you should get good results. 1. Your main issue seems to be water hardness. TDS of 800 is definitely on the higher side and I would initially suggest you to set the salt setting to H4 for sometime. Salt consumption will go up but this is unavoidable, unless you are able to connect the dishwasher to water with less TDS. Another advice, once the lockdown lifts, please get the water tested for hardness as TDS is different from hardness. If exact hardness is known, then salt setting in machine can be accurately set which would be of help. After sometime, if you get the idea that H4 is more, then you can change to H3. Do not decide in one or two washes. It could take more than a week or at least 10 to 12 cycles to find this out. 2. Secondly you have not mentioned which detergent you used. Remember, what is good for someone may not be good for someone else. There are lots of users who are happy with Fortune. There are many users who are happy with Finish. You will need to check which works best for your usage. So I would suggest you try both the above separately at least 1 full box before finding which is working best for you. You have to find by trial and error what quantity to use for each cycle. 3. At present, you could try adding either vinegar or citric acid (along with the detergent in the compartment). I cannot tell the exact quantity, you could start with half teaspoon for one or two cycles. This will help reduce the white stains/coating. Increase or decrease the quantity depending on the result. For the above you could keep a note book and note down the results (for the hardness setting, detergent quantity, vinegar (or citric acid) quantity. Finally I will say, don't lose hope. Lot of people are using dishwasher in high TDS water conditions and are getting good results. I am sure once you understand your machine, water and local conditions better, your dishwasher will start giving good results. Thank you.

@Raviteja, I don't have the machine now. I had a chance to use it for two months during which it worked very well and I had a great washing experience. I did not have any problem. But I should add here that some of my viewers have recently complained about a few issues in this machine 1) Program not resuming from same point after power cut 2) Heating element failure issue 3) Salt indicator blinking even after filling salt. So I would request you to get clarifications on these points from the company sales or showroom sales before taking your decision. Thanks.
I Bought two dishwasher from LG. Within 1 year touch panel failed and on second machine salt notification never worked. LG service is worst in Bangalore

Yes you can. But please use short cycle (lowest temperature). And do not mix all metals in the same cycle. Please put them in separate cycles. i have not tried washing china clay. Thanks.

Sorry Naseer Kulsum, I cannot do demo of half load, as I do not have the machine with me now. It's just like loading full load, either load the upper rack fully and select option accordingly or load the lower rack and select that option. Except Turbo, all cycles have half load option. You have to select either eco, auto, delicate or intensive and along with that select the half load option, and in half load you've to select the upper or lower option depending on which track you've placed the dishes. This option is for washing small loads in either of the racks. By selecting this option you save energy and time to certain extent. Hope this was helpful.
Hi Pratham, it depends on your water hardness. If the water is soft, then you don't have to use salt and rinse aid while using tablet. But also please ensure to set the salt and rinse aid setting to zero. If the water is hard beyond a certain level, ie 26 deg Clarke, then you have to use salt and rinse aid even while using tablet. Also dishwashers recommend that salt compartment is not kept empty even if salt is set to zero. So please fill salt in salt compartment. Hi Maheswari, I've been using my BOSCH dishwasher for the past 8 years without any problem. Based on my experience Bosch dishwasher is very good. But this LG model is very advanced and has many more additional features and a total of 62 program cycles using a combination of options. The cost is hence much higher than Bosch and it has two special features - one is the steam option which when selected gives amazing cleaning results and another important feature is the spray arms with four arms, which gives powerful spray of water from all sides, two arms of which have steam vents. Also the plates rack/tines can be folded such that the whole of the bottom rack is made flat so that you can keep more utensils. You can download additional cycles using the smart thinkQ app as this model is Wi-Fi enabled and can be operated through your mobile phone. There are some limitations though. Please decide based on your requirement, budget, and other things. Even without these additional features I'm getting good cleaning with my Bosch. I bought IFB dishwasher and i had lot of problems so i returned to IFB and got refund. One month i was struggling lot. But i badly need dishwasher but scared to buy the other one. Shall i go for this LG dishwasher? I saw this in showroom also. Please help me mam
Hi Maheswari, I've been using my BOSCH dishwasher for the past 8 years without any problem. Based on my experience Bosch dishwasher is very good. But this LG model is very advanced and has many more additional features and a total of 62 program cycles using a combination of options. The cost is hence much higher than Bosch and it has two special features - one is the steam option which when selected gives amazing cleaning results and another important feature is the spray arms with four arms, which gives powerful spray of water from all sides, two arms of which have steam vents. Also the plates rack/tines can be folded such that the whole of the bottom rack is made flat so that you can keep more utensils. You can download additional cycles using the smart thinkQ app as this model is Wi-Fi enabled and can be operated through your mobile phone. There are some limitations though.
Please decide based on your requirement, budget, and other things.
Even without these additional features I'm getting good cleaning with my Bosch. So the decision of which brand and model to choose must be yours.

@@BhuvanaAdi mam i bought this same model LG dishwasher and it is working good but still i am keeping vessel after pre wash. And salt indicatior is blinking even i fill the salt. And please advice to fix the error and it is really need to pre wash before loading?
