To be fair with the LG, the lasagna dish placement didn't help. The placement shown with the Bosch result allows better results...

I completely agree with you. You can't put a heavily soiled dish on its side and expect it to get cleaned. Perhaps that comes down to the tine layout, but it certainly should have been mentioned if that is the case.

I am going to buy the Bosch 800 series at Costco tomorrow because they'll install for free and it comes with a 2 year warranty. If anything goes wrong within the 1st two years, they will fix it or replace it for free. No questions asked. Crossing my fingers.

A world class dishwasher is the 2024 series 8. Brilliant at drying. Hot and bone dry.
The high end Miele is also great. The Miele is a nice looking machine.
      I own a 2024 Bosch series 8.
      Cheers.

I'm surprised the GE Profile did the worst. I have never do anything more than wipe my dishes into the trash before putting them into the dishwasher (a Cafe unit, so it's basically the same). My wife basically doesn't even do that much. I've never had anything come out dirty. Ultimately, it doesn't matter as only the Cafe fit my kitchen decor, but it really speaks to how good dishwashers have gotten since to me, coming from older dishwashers, even with this Cafe I can't imagine a better clean.

I wasn’t trying to imply the tests weren’t fair. I just want people to be able to get the maximum out of their machines. Proper loading, proper temps, and proper detergent along WITH the machine will produce superior results…translating into better consumer satisfaction.

I got a Miele PFD 104 based on your previous videos and absolutely love it. A complete TANK, plus incredibly fast cycles.

In all the tests where you said the pan didn't get clean, no kidding, poor loading.

Does the lg door auto open once the cycle is done?

I have questions about how you conducted the test. Did you use the basic cycle for all the washers? Since I wouldn't use that cycle for a mixed dirty load, I don't think you should either. Also, why compare washers at such varied price points. If I have only a thousand dollars to spend, then I want to know how models at that price compare to each other.

Well only a few are over 2K, Miele, Cove, Asko

I'm surprised about the poor loading and arrangment !!
There is no way to clean them by this array !!
By the way, you must put the dirtier dishes near the steam nozzle in the LG dishwasher, not in the back and side !!

Where does ASKO rank amongst these washers?

Perhaps you should learn physics. I have 3 years old AEG and I have never ever seen any food residue on anything. My mom had 15 years old el cheapo dishwasher and we have never ever seen any dirty dishes. If we were loading it up as if there is no tomorrow, I am sure we all would be eating off of dirty plates like these. Thanks for your efforts, btw.
NOTE: A statement like "never seen any residue" assumes you familiarized yourself with the machine cycles, placement, detergents, etc during the first week. For example, Finish detergent powder even in the longest cycle (70C, 3 hours intensive) leaves soup level marks. However, Finish Powerball Quantum tablets at fast cycle (60C, no prewash, 30 mins) removes everything. It is up to the user to figure what works best, but to scare everyone that egg whatever is not being removed is not right. Already dinasaurs and those with too much free time in their hands hates dishwashers. For us, this is the BEST household invention of the century without a doubt.

Well, thank you. I thought having the same test was consistent for all brands...and they all did better than washing by hand with less water.

I had a G.E. Profile dishwasher that came with the house when we bought our new home four years ago. It has broken down three times, not including this last time when it did not start. I'm tired of having to repair that piece of junk. All the pre-installed General Electric appliances we have have had mechanical issues. IMO, don't buy any G.E. kitchen appliances or you'll be sorry.

These tests indicate precisely why people get different results with the exact same dishwasher. 1) Improper/poor loading techniques. It should be intuitive that the dirtiest portion of a dish/pot should face the water spray directly. 2) Using some cheap crappy detergent. If you use the best detergent, you will not find these issues at all, at least with the Bosch. A dirty dish has NEVER come out of my Bosch 800 and I load that sucker with dishes dirtier than what you show here…sometimes the baked-on stuff is black. And eggs…obviously not high enough temps and crappy detergent without enzymes. My Bosch has zero trouble getting off burned on egg…completely. I do wish that people would learn how to load diswashers properly so they would be more satisfied with the results…and use proper detergent. Consumer Reports has had the Bosch as their number one dishwasher for cleanability for well over 10 years…and my results back their tests. I’m not saying Miele isn’t on par…but when I bought, the top-of-the line Miele was in no way worth $1,000 more than the top-of-the line Bosch. It appears prices are more in line today.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  3 місяці тому

But given they all had the same crappy detergent, shouldn't the tests be considered fair?
