To the point , accurate and informative video. No frills and fancy.. Thanks a ton for this video. it is really helpful. Have one query, if we have to fix a portable water softener how much space is needed?
Thank you Rohan that you found the video informative. As for your query, I would like to know more details about the portable water softener, to be able to give a proper answer about the space requirement.
After a very long time am watching your video. Very very useful tips for those who are planning to buy Dishwasher. I BOUGHT mine after watching your video. It was extremely useful for me, especially during lock down when maids could not come for work. Keep going Ji 👍👏
Hi Ambika Priya, I usually soak my idli plates before loading in the dishwasher. And based on how sticky they are, I select the program. So most of the times I get 100% clean plates. Occasionally if I wash them in short cycle, there would be some particles sticking which I wash under running water immediately.
Hi Ambika, I forgot to mention that this is for steel idli plates. If they are aluminium you can wash them in any program but only in short low temperature cycles, else they will get discoloured.
Thank you for the details. Would the normal PVC pipe withstand the heat of the hot water drained from the dish washer ? Or do we need to fix any other type of pipe for it ? Is there a type of dishwasher that washes with the normal cold water without heating it ?
Hi, since the dishwasher uses water at temperatures between 45 deg C and 70 deg C, the normal PVC is not sufficient as PVC cannot withstand that much temperature. It is better to go for other pipes. There is no such thing as a cold wash in a dishwasher.
Very useful Can I put the dishwasher on the movable trolley? As I am not interested giving it a fixed place.whenever need I can bring it to the inlet and outlet water taps?
@chitra lakhotia Actually dishwasher is ideally kept at a fixed location. You could go in for a trolley if you wish to get some ground clearance at the bottom. But moving it everyday might not be a good idea. One thing, the machine is heavy, even with a trolley it would require some effort to move it everytime. Secondly the dishwasher water inlet pipe is normally a threaded connection as shown in this video. You will find it inconvenient to fix the water pipe everyday and remove it everyday. This is not at all convenient, and even if done, you will start facing leakage at the threaded connection, water dripping, etc. Outlet pipe will not pose a problem. Hope this will help you understand. Thanks.
@SR India, Thanks. The length of the power cord in Bosch dishwasher is about 1.6 metres as measured in my dishwasher. In most machines it is in the range of 1.5 to 1.6 metres. Thanks.
To the point the presentation. I am impressed! My query is about drain connection. You have shown drain connection to be above floor level. What is maximum height above the ground? I am planning to connect this to the drain connection of wash basin which is about 18inches. I guess drain comes out from the bottom end of the machine how waste water rises to this level (or to the level of high rise loop shown in dagram by you)? Does dish washer uses pump to pump this out ? If not how it rises to that level?
@Uday Joshi, Thanks a lot!! Answers to your queries - There is no maximum height specified, at least I have not seen mentioned anywhere. I think your location of height of 18 inches can be used for drain connection. Many people use the bottom pipe of drain from sink which is around or a little above 18 inches. Even if a high rise is provided -mainly for connecting below sink the height should not be more than around 2 feet.Yes, there is a drain pump which drains the water from the machine. That is why it can rise to a certain height. Hope this helps. Thanks.
i also had exactly same query, thanks for clarifying. i have separate drain outle same like first option you shown, instead of inserting machine hose to it, can we attach machine hose to the outlet pipe using some socket? any cons for that?
Tap can be at any height. But if it is at a height of 3 to 4 ft from ground, it is convenient to access. Anyway it is the water supply pressure from the tap which is important.
Very informative video. I am planning to buy siemens dishwasher. From the top of the dishwasher, at what height shall I fix the Tap. Because above the tap there will be a marble platform. Also can the outlet pipe directly connect to the Sink main outlet keeping the slope from dishwasher to the main outlet?
@@aditic1770 yes that's right about the earlier model DFB424FP. The dishwasher does not start from the point it stopped during a power outage. I am not sure whether they have rectified this in the current model. Which is the model that you have purchased?
Amazing one, few made me scared about the purchase. Though I thought n was aware of few things and arrangements. I made a purchase and wanted a checklist. This video helped me in a clear way..
Hi Avnesh, dishwashers work well upto a water hardness of upto 700 ppm. I would suggest you to get your water tested for hardness before you plan to buy a dishwasher.
Hi Bhuvana .. I have ordered 12 place setting Bosch dishwasher. We live in rent house so I ordered standalone dishwasher . We have enough space in kitchen like 12x10 . But I cannot fix it under gas stove . I need to drag near to sink to link inlet and outlet everytime I use. Even for that I need movable stand I think. Could you please suggest good stand and required extension pipes for inlet and outlet along with tap connection. Thanks in advance!
Hi Prashanthi, thanks for your query. I have to tell you that it is not suggested or recommended to keep the dishwasher in such a manner and keep moving it everytime. There are quite a few reasons for this - 1. The water connection pipe is threaded type. This does not make it convenient to fit into the tap every time and remove it. Even if one were to do this, this is likely to give rise to leakages. It needs to be fitted to the tap or water inlet on a permanent basis. 2. Similarly the drain arrangement needs to be connected in a certain manner along with a high loop arrangement. I think my video explains this. Dishwasher is a fairly heavy equipment weighing more than 50 kgs. Although you can use a stand, it is not possible nor is it recommended to keep on a stand with wheels. This is why the stands for dishwasher and front loading washing machine have fixed legs. Hence I would request you to fix the location of your dishwasher and then make water supply and drain pipe arrangements near that location, rather than thinking of an arrangement to keep moving it everytime. So please call a plumber and get the water inlet and drain pipe arrangement done as shown in my video or mentioned in the manual. Thanks.
First of all thank you for your appreciation. I wouldn't agree with you totally, since the situation has changed after Covid. What you have said might be true before Covid. Post that, the scenario has changed and the last 4 years has seen a rise in the sales of dishwashers. Yes, it is definitely less when you compare it with the sale of washing machines. But the day is not far when every household which has a washing machine would find the usefulness of the dishwasher and have the same sooner or later. It's only a matter of time. Because with my experience of using a dishwasher, over 15 years, I can give you many reasons why one should have a dishwasher. And once people understand that, I'm sure dishwashers would start selling like hotcakes.
@@BhuvanaAdi sure mam I agree with your words recently I bought Bosch 14 place in Nelamangala, Bangalore You gave me the perfect clarification in English it was useful for those who are from South India Thanking you so much 👍
No a washing machine does not need a high rise loop. It is usually suggested only for dishwasher when the drain is connected below the kitchen sink. Thanks.

Hi Bhuvana,All ur dishwasher videos are wonderful,a clear guidance to laymen, jus bought mine & the first wash I did only with a fortune tablet as the salt, rinse aid & detergent is yet to arrive, but thought the tablet will do the job of everything, everything was squeaky clean but I had water droplets on all the utensils,y is tht so? Pls guide,U r doing an amazing job by educating everyone,Happy teacher's day to the teacher who taught us dishwasher, stay blessed lady 🙌💐
Thanks for your appreciation and your wishes, Lakshmi!🙏 Congrats on your new purchase. You have not mentioned about which program cycle you've used. If it's Turbo cycle in which you've faced this issue of water droplets, then let me tell you that Turbo cycle does not have drying. So you've to give some time for the dishes to dry. Leave the door slightly ajar few minutes after the cycle gets completed. Let it remain like that for half an hour or so. Then if you open the door fully, you will not see any water droplets on the dishes.
Another dishwasher i purchased from LG (DFB424FW) one year back and, within one year i had multiple issue and support was very bad as usual. 1. Touch Pannel started malfunctioning 2. Door rubber Gasket got melt down 3. Last week Lower spray arm got fell down and they are yet to replace the lower spray arm. Now they are telling that they don’t have lower spray arm in stock across India . This is very bad.
Hi Nihal, water contains a lot of salts and minerals. When you say hardness it means the amount of calcium and magnesium present in water, which causes lime scale formation. Testing in a lab is the best way, though you get TDS meter which will not give the correct picture of your water quality. Hope this clears you doubt. Please watch my video on water hardness by clicking the link below, where I've explained the same : ua-cam.com/video/-jHUQwX82l4/v-deo.html Thanks.

Our kitchen plateform 85 cm from the floor and the width of 60cm, can we put the dishwasher on the plateform .. I am expecting your esteemed suggestion reply as soon as possible 🙏
Not yet reply regarding this , can I put the dishwasher on the kitchen plateform which height 85cm from the ground level ? Please clear my doubt soon , I have to buy a BOACH dishwasher after your favourable reply Mam 🙏
Sorry for the delayed reply. Do you plan to keep the regular size free standing dishwasher on your platform? Because Bosch does not have any table top model to the best of my knowledge. The dimensions given by you seem to be okay for placing a dishwasher on the platform. It is ideal for placing a table top dishwasher. But if you feel that loading of dishes especially in the upper rack, will not be a problem to you, then I think you can place a regular size dishwasher too on the kitchen platform.
Sorry for the delayed reply. I don't think the pressure and flow will be enough for the dishwasher, if you connect the RO output to the dishwasher inlet.
Hi Yashoda, it is not a must to have a stand to keep the dishwasher. But in case you feel you need space below the dishwasher for cleaning purposes, you can go ahead and use a stand. There is no harm in that. Thanks.
Hi, the lower the TDS the better the washing quality and usage of salt and detergent, which means that soft to medium hard water is preferable. TDS less than 300 ppm will be most ideal, although the dishwasher will work for higher TDS also, for which more salt and detergent will be consumed. Thanks.
Madam I have a question. How many days can we storez and use dishwasher detergent after buying from market. Does it loose its quality on cleaning. Please clarify
Hi Prasanna Lakshmi, there is always an expiry period for detergents and tablets just like any other product. They will lose their efficacy beyond that period. The expiry period is usually mentioned in every pack. Thanks.
Hi, dishwasher can be safely used if you have soft water. It will not only give you the best cleaning results but also reduce your overall expenses of dishwasher consumables like detergent, salt and rinse aid.
@@PavanKumar-pk5fk If there is water leakage in the dishwasher, this mechanism will cut off water supply at the inlet. You can watch the following video - ua-cam.com/video/X4_JBSpxNTU/v-deo.html

Thanks.
@@BhuvanaAdi Thanks alot for explaination... Really helpful for me... Big thank you
Thank you mam for the practical guidance
You're welcome.
Very useful and you are so knowledgeable!
Thank you for your appreciation.
Perfect information ma’am as a Indian 👍🫡
But The thing is Dishwasher is still rare product in India
@@BhuvanaAdi sure mam I agree with your words recently I bought Bosch 14 place in Nelamangala, Bangalore
You gave me the perfect clarification in English it was useful for those who are from South India
Thanking you so much 👍
Do you need to provide any running hot water connection or does the dishwasher has inbuilt heater
Hi, just like the washing machine, a dishwasher has an in built water heater. So, you don't need any hot water connection.
Very clear,, very good English
Thank you.
Do washing mechine also need drainage high rise loop above the floor technique?
No a washing machine does not need a high rise loop. It is usually suggested only for dishwasher when the drain is connected below the kitchen sink. Thanks.
LG dishwasher Mein water filter konsa istemal Karenge batayega
Actually filter ki zaroorat nahi hai but normally machine ke saath company filter supply karte hai, usi ko istemal kar sakte hain.

Thanks for your appreciation and your wishes, Lakshmi!🙏
Congrats on your new purchase.
@@BhuvanaAditurbo means quick wash is it?

You're welcome Kanchan.
Sorry to learn about your bad experience with LG Dishwasher. Thanks for sharing it here.
Dear madam i didt understand what is water hardness is that the only way to test
Please watch my video on water hardness by clicking the link below, where I've explained the same :

Thank you Mam,, for your kind reply regarding my opnion put the BOSCH dishwasher on kithen plateform ,, once again thank you very much Mam 🙏

very informative mam. Thanks a lot.

Please help me how can I connect ro water supply and dishwasher water supply in series
Sorry for the delayed reply.
I don't think the pressure and flow will be enough for the dishwasher, if you connect the RO output to the dishwasher inlet.
U know what.... U r amazing... U give so much info even companies may not b giving
Thank you for your kind words. I'm humbled.🙏

Thank you madam your video is very useful for the installation of the dishwasher

Thank you for your valuable information.

Madam should we use stand for dishwasher. Thank you.
Hi Yashoda, it is not a must to have a stand to keep the dishwasher.
But in case you feel you need space below the dishwasher for cleaning purposes, you can go ahead and use a stand. There is no harm in that.
Thanks.
@@BhuvanaAdi Thanks for the prompt reply Mam.
Hello mam , very useful video, I also thinking to buying a dishwasher. So pls tell me mam how much water TDS is best for dishwasher.
Hi, the lower the TDS the better the washing quality and usage of salt and detergent, which means that soft to medium hard water is preferable.
TDS less than 300 ppm will be most ideal, although the dishwasher will work for higher TDS also, for which more salt and detergent will be consumed.
Thanks.
You are amazing mam. You speak to the point and you have great knowledge.
Thanks Anupritha that you think so. 🙏

Hi Bhuvana garu, what is that brick/block thing connected to the inlet water pipe?
Hi it is the aqua stop mechanism provided in this model of Bosch. I am not sure whether it is provided in all the present models.
Thank you for replying...but what is the purpose of it?
@@PavanKumar-pk5fk If there is water leakage in the dishwasher, this mechanism will cut off water supply at the inlet. You can watch the following video -

Thanka again....but is this spare available in india if at all aquastop gets damaged?

You're welcome.
Hi. Excellent inputs 👏👏🙌. Thanks for sharing.
I need to buy a 1/2 to 3/4 converter based on your video 🙂.
One query. @3:08, what is the bulging part in the hose? I have a flat hose, similar to washing machine hose only..
Thanks for your comment. That is Bosch aquastop system which stops water supply in case of any water leakage in the dishwasher.
V informative. Is an added filter to remove impurities in the water required to be added to the inlet pipe of the dishwsher?
