My wife and I used to live close to Acadia when this campground was first being built. Even without staying there yet, I can say this is my favorite campground. We have walked and rode our bikes around here numerous times. We do have a trip booked this upcoming September. Finally. Staying on B Loop. You are questioning at the end of the video if the secret is just not out about this place. Schoodic is known as the quiet side. I do believe people tend to avoid it because it is about an hour away from Hulls Cove, the main part of the park. Anyone who is looking to build a campground should take note of Schoodic Woods. This place was done right. The large private sites are just incredible. Thank you for sharing, hope you enjoyed your stay.
A-Loop does NOT have water hookups at the sites. (Only host site has water) Water fill ups are located at the restrooms. All A-Loop sites also do not have 50 AMP electric. Most of them only have up to 20 or 30 since they were created for tents and small campers. My knowledge comes from being a camp host at the Schoodic woods campground for 3 consecutive years.
I just don't understand none of these campgrounds in Acadia offering showers; millions of dollars invested but people have no where to get clean.. There are other national park campgrounds with pay showers. Perplexing.
Most n National Parks I have visited do not have showers, but in adjoining towns laundrymats seem to offer paid showers. Or not shower and blend in with nature, no friends but a lot of nature.
Great job. I will add this campground to my travel schedule this summer!
Thank You
Enjoy the park

How is Verizon wireless or T-Mobile signal at your campground
Hello! Where can campers shower? Thanks
Showers are in town about a 15 minute drive. Thanks for watching.
No showers sorry
