There's so much in that one line and Vi extending her hand out that's being told to Jinx. Baked into it is the implications of "you're still my sister", "you're still part of this family" "I still love you"... Ugh, gonna make me cry again.
This is why I love your reactions! All other reactions immediatly hate Jayce after he kills Salo for "no reason", but you actually think about why he'd do something like that. This and so many other things set you apart from other reactions❤
Yes, that was Vi`s and Powder`s Mum Felicia, as also shown in Season 1 Episode 1, Minute 2:20. What has surprised me the most was how my view of Silco changed in that scene. The look in his eye`s to Felicia was clearly very friendly, at least. So taking care of Power after also Vanders "dead" was for sure not only to "use" her. I think it was mainly because of his friendship to Felicia and I think that later he has very happy for Jinx`s skills and commitment to his plans. So I think that the friendship bond was first and using Jinx happens later. The scene explains also why Powder jumps in Silco`s arms in Season 1 Episode 3. He was for sure no stranger to her.
I get why he feels so betrayed by vander cuz they made the promise to felicia to "figure this zaun thing out" and then they reacted in totally different ways to her death. But WHY does he wanna kill Vi then when Vi is also one of the children that he swore to do this whole thing for?
@@mathies3598 Honestly I think at that point Silco stopped caring. For all he cares about Jinx, all his other actions show him to be a bit of a psychopath. He has his young daughter be his assassin, threatens children with little effort and flooded the streets of his city with drugs. For all he holds on to the idea of Zaun it's become a corrupted vision of what it once was supposed to be.
That’s interesting, I sort of interpreted it the opposite, but still liked how the fleshed out his character a little. From the way the scene played out, in Vander’s bar with Vander between the two of them, Silco barely looking up from his book until she mentions pregnancy, for me it came across as Silco being the dreamer, the idea man and Vander the rabble rouser and networker , everybody knows Vander and he knows everybody. He clearly has some affection for Felicia, she knew about the idea of Zaun. I think between this scene and the bridge opening Silco between a hardcore revolutionary and Vander became more about the people. Whilst he baulked at the human cost of the fight, Silco had moved beyond that, the cause was everything., leading to their falling out. Finding Jinx and taking care of her finally put Silco in touch with the human aspect he’d been ignoring for years, finding something he wouldn’t sacrifice.
@@jmartin4396 yeah, after a couple rewatches, episode 7 is really a great contender for the best episode. I like both 5 & 7 and I don't know which one I like more. I just love this show so much!
26:05 thank you for addressing this! i even go as far as considering hyping specific episodes as spoiler because it alters your expectation going into it.
I love this episode because it explained why young Powder instinctively hugged Silco way back in episode 3 of Season 1, it also makes it even clearer why Powder/Jinx meant so much to Silco. It also shows why Vander and Violet had such a bond.
I think the reason Vanderwick is thought to be the key to curing death, is because his cells regenerate like crazy. You could see the speed of the regeneration effect when it was first shown at the end of episode 2 this season, and also when he fights with both Jinx and Vi. In this episode, Vi literally split his face open and it healed in seconds.
4:01 Funny how Vi has personally broken that man's jaw a total of 3 separate times throughout this series. He apparently decided to replace/reinforce it after the second time in the prison...Didn't seem to do much good.
Between watching the show multiple times on my own, then again (over and over) with reactors, I need to take baths to replace the fluid loss from tears. LoL
I noticed something on a rewatch. In the scene where Jayce returns from wherever he's been and speaks with Salo, Jayce's breath is visible and Salo's isn't. So, is Salo possibly dead when after Viktor "heals" them.
@@funnylilgalreacts Also, though it's not quite in the UA-cam edit, I love that scene where Jinx is reading the old letter from Vander and Vi seems to almost want to put her hand on her shoulder, to maybe try reconciling, but then changes her mind and puts on the gauntlet again.
@AretaicGames Yeah, that's kind of a serious hole in my theory. But, considering how deliberate the animators have been with the visuals it seems like an obvious thing to miss if it wasn't the case that he's dead.
My theory is that the saved people match Victor's current state of evolution and his powers keep them alive in a human form - until next episode at least.

17:05 I feel the Jinx/Vi/Vander reunion scene is especially touching and heartwarming when viewed from Jinx / Powder's narrative. Right now, she sees herself as a jinx, who breaks everything around her, and causing everyone who gets close to her to die. And that narrative and identity first solidified _that_ night; with her destroying her entire adoptive family. Except, Vander's still alive. Meaning, she didn't break _everything_ that night. She broke 99% of it, sure. But that's not 100%. And for Jinx / Powder, that means a lot.
Powder always had a knack for building and fixing things, but in her mind when it came to people, she always broke things. She embraced that idea and became Jinx, so being able to fix a relationship instead of a machine brought Powder back. You see how she hesitates to hug Vander and Vi, like she's afraid she'll break everything again.
The way I bawled. Also their little argument in the caves? I know I’ve said “last chance to surrender” when fighting with my siblings, especially my little sis, a million times. I also broke my dad’s nose with a stray elbow on accident when I was little. It happens. Good times, regardless. Seeing Detective Cait again made me so happy. I love when she uses that big analytical brain of hers.
This family hug was my single favorite moment of the whole series. It moved me so deeply and didn’t know I needed to see that hug… and it feel it. I think I need a hug. Hug your loved ones, people. It may be the last hug you get. Ps: I certainly cried way more while watching this again, with you. 😭
Regarding magic, one curious thing is that in games like DnD a spell is more accurate than an arrow. That was changed in an RPG game called Dungeon Crawler Classics, where magic can hurt the one using it. It adds some uncertainty and makes more sense.

I've been following your channel for a while now and I know that the sister relationship touches you in a special way, so I started watching the reaction thinking "oh, she's going to cry oceans with this chapter." It's a complete rollercoaster of emotions, but to be honest, the whole season has A LOT of very emotional parts. Vander's flashback and the family's reunion in the dark are among the best moments of the series. I don't know if you noticed, but Silco has bangs exactly like Jinx would have when she grew up. It's a curious detail.
I don't play the game at all ( I know the champions) or know too much about it's lore but I definitely like Arcane and the story they've created. I immediately grew attach to Vander for some reason, such a tragedy for everyone. This show had my emotions going around like a roller coaster like 17:21 and I hardly tear up lmfao
Let me get this straight, at the end season 1 episode 3 , a one-eye third-degree burned singe managed to recover Vander's body among the flames and debris ? Did he drag it (3 time his weight easy) or did he take the time to do heavy chirurgy ?
I do agree that people need to stop and consider what is a spoiler more. People will say things like "Yeah, Vander definitely isn't coming back...." And think they're being really subtle and not spoiling anything lmao. I was spoiled on Warwick too, as was pretty much anyone that has looked at ANYTHING online regarding Arcane in the last 3 years... it is a shame because I can only imagine what that reveal would have been like if I was clueless.
This whole 2nd season absolutely destroyed me emotionally. And I loved every second of it. I can't wait for the next batch of shows. Because Piltover and Zaun are literally among the smallest regions and political powers on Runeterra (the world of League of Legends). Going to be amazing to see the rest brought to animated life.
Family lost, found again. Lost again. More tears, always more tears... It was this episode that made me wonder if the mad doc invented the respawn mechanic in the game. Both their parents died on the bridge, in the very first scene of the show. Vander and Silco came to blows, after; that's when everything went sour. Pretty sure we saw glimpses of that in episode 3.
The funny thing is, this metal jaw guy in opening is the same guy from Season 1, Vi broke his real jaw in prison first, when she had remembered him... and now again LoL, this time with metal prostetic broken LoL
Y'know, side note: The opening bit where Vi is pit fighting and basically driving herself to ruin, it oddly reminded me of season 4 Legend of Korra, when Korra was dealing with the PTSD from the fight with Zaheer, and her bending isn't working right anymore, so she basically turns her back on everything and ends up getting shellacked in that pit fight against the earthbender. They're both dealing with trauma and loss and heartbreak by running away from it and just embracing self-destruction at that point. Anyways, yeah, you are not ready for the next episode. Nope.
Silco, vander and felicia's story is so heartbreaking cuz of the pressure she puts on them both, and its not her fault, I totally get it. But she puts them up with the responsibility of realizing a free Zaun so her children can have a good life, and then the revolution happens, and both her and Connel end up dying, and Silco takes this as extra motivation to continue their passion project as it was their promise to her, and Vander is like well someone has to take care of them, and maybe its better if we dont revolutionize again because look what happened to their parents last time! What if we lose them next? It's totally clear where both of them came from at the point of their falling out and its just so heartbreaking
Hello, notice how she has silco hair, that hairstyle is the same as Jinx's bangs. We discovered here that he fixed the little girl's hair, he kept his promise until his death, throwing away his dreams "you two will take care of that" said his mother and when they asked him he said "I will never have to given them for anything." Also the resemblance that Vi had when she saw Caitlyn and confused her with her mother. For the job in miner of Silco he was explosive tecnician, and that thing is "Powder" Felicia And Connol named here Childs for they. Violet for favourite name of Vander. Powder for the job of Silco the "gun powder" tecnician
-Season 2 Episode 5 What Have They Done To Us Lyrics (Vocals by Mako and Grey): [Verse] As you wake up in a cold sweat Little girl, what goes on in your head? All this hatred in your heart, yet I mourn the most for all the things that I never said [Chorus] Don’t make me go through this again You’re not real and I can’t pretend This story is over, I ripped out the end Tell me, who are you, then? [Post-Chorus] What have they done to us? What have they done to us? What have they done to us? What have they done to us?
One unusual twist about this series is that it's using established characters, and they have to allow for that in the story telling. League players were yelling about Warwick/Vander at the end of S1, I think, so the story is written so that knowledge doesn't take the wind out of it's sails. Doesn't take away from your point, of course, that your reaction would have been different if you hand't been told. So it's still a spoiler, and 'boooo' to whoever couldn't help wetting themselves with excitement. Ugh, god, that shot of Vi lowering her gauntlets, leaving herself totally open, is just.... She told Caitlyn how it hurt her to see everyone she cared for change. And here's she's confronted by the raging hulk of a monster, her father figure changed into exactly the sort of thing she used to have to chase away to avoid scaring Powder. I can't tell how much of her decision is just her incredible resilience for the people she cares for, and how much of it is her giving up, just giving in to the risk that Vander is so changed he'll tear right through her.
Also, the lyrics during the hug? "What have you done to us?" feels like a direct call back to "I am the monster you created", or perhaps an explicit redemption of that moment because it's a conversation, rather than resignation.
So vi dated someone who looks like a combination of her sister and her mom…… Jokes aside i do think the show has missed an opportunity to show us more about vi’s relationship with her mother. It is all implied. Honestly the most telling moment for their relationship is in season when Caitlyn is trying to comfort vi and take care of her vi briefly sees her mother’s face implying that falica (spelling?) was kind and compassionate like Caitlyn. It does appear that vi might have some mom issues….
You know, if I were in Zaun I would be in the mirror making business. Seems these people can't stop smashing mirrors. I would be richer than the Chem barrons.
Singed made different forms of shimmer. The shimmer he gave Jinx was more pure, permanent, non addictive. The lower grade shimmer is addictive which brings in income to fund Singed’s expirement and Silco’s agendas.

It's a complete rollercoaster of emotions, but to be honest, the whole season has A LOT of very emotional parts. Vander's flashback and the family's reunion in the dark are among the best moments of the series.
I don't know if you noticed, but Silco has bangs exactly like Jinx would have when she grew up. It's a curious detail.
I think this is the last episode
If we stopped right here, maybe we stay happy
So glad you've watched ahead of the release schedule because there's so much in the next 4 episodes. And hooooo boy episode 6.
Silco taking care of Jinx hits harder knowing that he was friends with her mom and he would have felt obligated just as much as Vander.
I think that’s what stopped him from harming Powder when he found her - he realized she was Felicia’s baby girl.
Here it is. The destroyer of my mental wellbeing. Such a beutiful and tragic episode.
Jinx and Vi mom died in the intro of the season one first episode on the bridge.
This is easily in my top 3 episodes in the series
I don't play the game at all ( I know the champions) or know too much about it's lore but I definitely like Arcane and the story they've created. I immediately grew attach to Vander for some reason, such a tragedy for everyone. This show had my emotions going around like a roller coaster like 17:21 and I hardly tear up lmfao
5:44 OK BUT SHE HIT THAT SHIT
MORE arcane? so soon?
It feels like Christmas allready!
The next 4 episodes are............ something. I'm gonna need these reactions to drop back to back for obvious reasons. :(
HUGS..!! ☺️
A little detail that was pointed out to me, Vi's eye color is Powder Blue, and Jinx's eye color is Red Violet.
your pipes are very impressive! 5:48
Let me get this straight, at the end season 1 episode 3 , a one-eye third-degree burned singe managed to recover Vander's body among the flames and debris ? Did he drag it (3 time his weight easy) or did he take the time to do heavy chirurgy ?
In my best furniture store commercial:
"Brother number two left the heart crushing machine on all night, and so now we gotta destroy all y'all..."
Admist all the tragedy, that fight was so funny. Between the slap and the ahirpulling it was _such_ a sister fight.
Throwback to season1 episode 1 beginning. Vi and powders parents were on the bridge and seeing them is why Vi broke down.
Dammit, I must be allergic to the words "what are you waiting for? He's your dad too.". Every time I hear them, my eyes start to water.
Kino or not, the dude had a memorable voice ; ). Started getting suspicious when the wall puzzle revealed itself.
It was an honor watching this episode with you. ❤
The guy at the beginning had a metal jaw because VI curbed him with a tray in prison.
Also: Now both VI and Jinx look through broken mirrors.
Councilor Shoola in S1E2: "Arcane talents is something you're born with."
Nope.
I didn't know Angela had a decent singing voice. 🥰
5:06 Hold up. Did VI actually tighten her grip on Jinx's throat? Yeezus
Let's just go ahead and end the season there.
We discovered here that he fixed the little girl's hair, he kept his promise until his death, throwing away his dreams "you two will take care of that" said his mother and when they asked him he said "I will never have to given them for anything."
Also the resemblance that Vi had when she saw Caitlyn and confused her with her mother.
For the job in miner of Silco he was explosive tecnician, and that thing is "Powder" Felicia And Connol named here Childs for they.
Violet for favourite name of Vander.
Powder for the job of Silco the "gun powder" tecnician
Brutal episode, so beautiful though
I know that what VI is doing here is technically self harm, and I do feel really really bad for her, but
Cocktail Molotov is such a banger of a song
Apparently the opening sequence changes over the course of the season. I'll have to go back and watch for it.
Hehe...Jayce said WHAM!!! He played whack-a-Salo. 💜
People who said it is Warwick could draw from the game, that is Vader was just speculation. Nobody knew for sure back then.
Pure sister energy this episode…
Bravo.
-Season 2 Episode 5 What Have They Done To Us Lyrics (Vocals by Mako and Grey):
[Verse]
As you wake up in a cold sweat
Little girl, what goes on in your head?
All this hatred in your heart, yet
I mourn the most for all the things that I never said
[Chorus]
Don’t make me go through this again
You’re not real and I can’t pretend
This story is over, I ripped out the end
Tell me, who are you, then?
[Post-Chorus]
What have they done to us?
What have they done to us?
What have they done to us?
What have they done to us?
who else wants a full cover song of Enemy now
She nailed the "enemyyy" part
Me! Her singing along with the intro was unexpectedly delightful. Beautiful voice👌
Silco, Vander, and Felicia are all siblings. Wether by blood, by choice, or by adoption.
You should know by now in "Arcane" especially for Zaunites healthy coping skills is never really an option.
You can sing very good actually)
Meanwhile, we're glossing over the fact that you've trained your editor to start editing on a puppy clicker?? The FLG lore gets deeper.
Ah yes my favorite thing, watching Angela cry
Girl what beautiful vibrattos you singing the oppening song
It is absolutely not healthy, but am i crushing on muscular vi with the dark look?
Maybe…..😳😇
So vi dated someone who looks like a combination of her sister and her mom……
Jokes aside i do think the show has missed an opportunity to show us more about vi’s relationship with her mother.
I tjink you didn't recognize the jaw guy he has fougth and loose again Vi 3 times and is always because of Vi's uppercut
Singed made different forms of shimmer. The shimmer he gave Jinx was more pure, permanent, non addictive. The lower grade shimmer is addictive which brings in income to fund Singed’s expirement and Silco’s agendas.
😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤
You look like Vi's and Jinx's mom.
