@@3LastSon unless Ambessa is a character. She wouldn't. Singed might, on the other hand. If he knew that his daughter would be alive and well in that future. His goals don't fundamentally conflict with the happiness for the cities, he seems to have even preferred it that way given some of his interactions, but he has a single goal. Ambessa would just hear "oh, no hextech"? And specifically work to prevent that future.
The bunny ears she does for "genius and madness" is also something you see her mother do in the remember me flashback, she also does it in the flashback with Ekko in 1x7, with the bridge fight.
Fun fact about Heimerdinger's song. Arcane is fully voice acted in something like 27 different languages and they got as many of Heimerdinger's voice actors as they could to record a version of his song in their own language.
it's because it's diegetic. A lot of the other music is for our benefit, doesn't exist "in the world," whereas this song is diegetic and exists in the world, e.g. The characters can hear it. It is such a clever distinction.
Powder has a pink streak in her hair and she painted her nails pink to honor her sister. Vander has Vi's name tattooed on his hand. Powder's blue rose pendant has Powder and Ekko's face silhouettes incorporated into the design.
Powder AU still has crystals and now Ekko exposed her to hextech. There is a possibility for her to recreate hextech by herself. After seeing two versions of Ekko its not a far fetch to assume a funny thing of her trying to go back in time and save Vi. The only reason there is no hextech is because Jayce is in prison. The explosion killed Vi in his lab which made it easier to convince the council to stop screwing around with arcane magic. The experiment and materials were illegal, the only reason Jayce got away with it in the first season is because nobody died and Caitlyn family covered his ass to let him go but stop the experiments in exchange.
I think they may imply that AU Jayce died as well, either in the explosion, by offing himself the way he tried to in season 1, or maybe even as punishment for his crimes if someone like young Cait died. Reason being, Jayce didn't end up in the same universe, but Heimer and Ekko did? Maybe he ended up somewhere else because he didn't have a body to transport into.
This episode knocked me off my senses unexpectedly. As a 38 year old and single for a better part of a decade and half, Ekko's "what could have been", gave me a perspective of what could have been for my life if things went differently. The visuals, the music and the storytelling was just outstanding, even by Arcane standards. Hands down the best episode of the series for me.
24:53 Fun fact about the necklace that Ekko gave to Powder..... Blue roses don't naturally occur and so, can be used to represent something rare or a love that is out of reach. And when it spins, the design features Ekko and Powder's faces.
i think the reason Vi's death brought zaun prosperity was bc of the legal and political ramifications of the explosion. in the original timeline, jayce was almost banished from piltover bc of the explosion but since no one was killed, he only got expulsion. now a child is dead. hes banished at best, probably imprisoned, but also now piltover sees what kind of desperation even the children of the undercity have, burglerizing just to eat. there would be outcries for justice and equity on both sides. i think that opens piltovers eyes to extend prosperity to them as well. nothing unites like a tragedy.
@@joncarpenter-smith9801for sure Caitlyn was killed… a random child from the undercity might not mean much to the council of Piltover…. But a councilors daughter? THAT would have been a huge sway against Jayce. (Assuming he did survive)
It's crazy how one thing going differently completely changes the Undercity. Vi dying means that Piltover doesn't start raiding the undercity looking for the perpetrator. That means Vander's leadership isn't challenged. Silco learns that Violet died and reconciles with Vander, whether he found the note or not. The undercity continues to thrive under Vander's leadership and alternate Heimerdinger eventually arrives and further pushes for better conditions in Zaun. Jayce never gets Hextech off the ground because its lethal consequences are made clear immediately.
Just gotta add a little note: Powder now has the tools to create "Hexteck" & will probably start being obsessed with the whole "time & spacial" travel trying to save her timeline's Vi... so ... Birth of "Wild Rift" Jinx? Just saying the directors hinted that Jayce & Viktor are ... wait that'll be a spoiler so... look it up. ❤
It is also likely that Jayce and Viktor are also dead in the other universe. Season 1 Jayce was suicidal when he thought he lost Hextech and Viktor had a terminal disease before they used the Hexcore and Shimmer on him.
Also gotta throw props to Heimerdinger. With the Perspective he gained from Ekko, Heimer clearly turned his energies toward unity and connection between the undercity and topside. Remember, he showed up at the Last Drop as a known figure. Mylo, Claggor, and Powder all knew him well and would turn to him for assistance with their various projects.
It's implied that Vi's death isn't the fulcrum on which this timeline changed. The reason they didn't get caught in the blast in the main timeline is because Caitlyn dropped some of what she was carrying for Jayce in the hallway, giving them all warning that someone was coming. So clearly that didn't happen, which means that there were other changes further up the timeline. Vi dying was probably the catalyst for the Piltover Council actually taking a real interest in dealing with the inequities between them and the Undercity (I'd guess three kids testifying in front of Heimerdinger why they were burglarizing one his students' labs would make any version of Heimerdinger push the Council to make changes), and Vander being the face and voice of the Undercity in those dealings probably allowed for better and faster change than if anyone else had been.
Very much doubt it was just one thing. Vi's death can explain the lack of Hextech, but it doesn't easily explain the lack of Silco's need for vengeance, nor the absence of Shimmer. It's a good bet that another big change to this universe is that Silco found Vander's letter and they reconciled long before the job even happened. They introduced that letter for a reason, and I suspect this is why.
I think this was my favorite episode of the season. Really made up for how little we got to see of Ekko throughout the show, to understand that he would give up such an amazing reality for the people that needed him. (Also, my favorite theory as to why Hextech was never invented is that both Vi AND Jayce perished in the explosion). Your reaction to the aftermath of the explosion was heart-wrenching. 😢
It was heavily implied that Jayce died in the explosion, which is why he ended up in the dark hextech future instead of the alternate past. There wasn't a Jayce to switch with in that perfect alternate.
Yeah, you're so right!! I thought the same too, she picks up on things I didn't on my first watch. However, I did notice somethinjg on my first go that I've seen a few people mention. And it's the fact that Powder realized at some point that the Ekko that she was hanging out with wasn't ''her'' Ekko. Throughout the episode there's hints at this through her body lannguage and her eyes. As if she is reminiscing the fact that he has to leave. And that makes their whole dynamic even more bittersweet. They are meant for each other, but it can't be..
Vi's death was absolutely the catalyst for major reform. Marcus stumbled upon a young girl crying over her dead sister while he had a baby/toddler at home. Silco found out Vander was mourning the loss of their best friend's kid and put aside his anger to comfort him. Jayce was either arrested or dead, and if he survived, the fact that his crystals killed a kid probably meant Viktor and Mel weren't as interested in giving it a chance.
People tend to overlook that Heimerdinger 1000+ days in that Alternate Universe he played a huge role in bringing Piltover/Zaun together as one nation. Ekko - "it's not about giving people what they need to survive, it's about giving what they need to live" Heimerdinger took that to heart and incorporated it into that universe
being in the game doesnt guarantee their survival at all- the way LoL works all of their champions are pulled from different moments in their timelines, usually whenever they're at their peak, so even if someone dies the rift pulls a version of them from before that point in their timeline
@praisethefirstborn6226 absolutely, and she is proof of the concept, at least as far as can be assumed for the other characters in peril in Arcane, though i am curious how they explain the survival of a couple, avoiding spoilers here for those who havent seen the whole series yet
@@MisterSunshine17 oh absolutely, i wasnt denying that for Heimerdinger, thats very clearly the case, i was talking about the fact that being in the game doesnt save characters from the proverbial headsmans axe as far as Arcane is concerned
It’s not necessarily because Vi died, but because hextech was never made. Powder recognized the damage the crystals could cause when the explosion killed Vi, so she hoarded them so no one else would get hurt, leading to hextech never being invented.
It's all connected. Because Vi died, Jayce wouldn't have been able to talk his way out of being exiled, he might even have gone to prison. Considering he almost jumped off a ledge in the main timeline, he probably went through with it here. Because the kids didn't run from the scene, Grayson has no reason to crack down on Vander, so she doesn't go down there and get killed which probably reduces the corruption in the Enforcers in a big way. Vi's death is also probably the catalyst for Vander and Silco making amends, and instead of becoming a drug lord Silco helping Vander is what leads to Topside and Zaun reconciling and working together, turning the Lanes into the bustling and prosperous place we see in this episode.
when i first watched this episode i was more focused on ekko’s emotional reaction… your reaction really made me focus on powder and vi and i loved it :)
Plus, Victor presumably dying of his desease and Jayce being more harshly punished because his research actually killed someone. Which makes it likely that he kills himself, since he thought about it after 'only' being expelled.
When I saw this uploaded I immediately went "Oh no. Oh no, Angela is not gonna like the scene where Powder holds Vi's corpse. Not one bit. That's gonna hit all the wrong spots. This is not gonna be good". My siblings are very much alive and well and that scene still hit me like a ton of bricks, I can't imagine what how painful it'd be for someone who went through it.
We don't know because Arcane doesn't explore it, but if it makes you feel any better, Yordles in the League of Legends universe cannot die due to being creatures native to the spirit world. When their physical form is destroyed, they return to Bandle City, which is their native home.
@@lilunette9319 creator did confirm he's not finished with Heimerdinger, he's all good and with Arcane being the new canon, I doubt they'll change the yordle lore
Heimerdinger goes to the past because he's so preoccupied with historical events. Ekko goes to the present day because he's the "boy who broke time." Jayce goes to the future because he's the "Man of tomorrow." #HeimerdingerLives Yordle's are made of magic... When they get killed or die they reincarnate back to the place where they're first born.
Silco loved and accepted her, sure. He also leveraged and stoked her trauma to “make Jinx” (which we know she doesn’t credit him). He absolutely purposefully added to her corruption. He nourished the base violence in her. He used her as his weapon and as his Oppenheimer. And he tried to deprive her of Vi. He is both the angel and the devil on her shoulders.
I think that's still giving Silco too little credit. He took in a little girl that witnessed her own dead parents not once but twice, the second one being her fault. Who has extreme abandonment issues because the only person in her life abandoned her (she thinks). Silco hasn't exactly dealth with his own problems in the healthiest way so I don't think it's a stretch to say he did the best he could but was never able to have her actually deal with anything in a constructive way, just very unhealthy coping mechanisms. Yeah she became a ruthless murderer but that's not "bad" in their eyes, Piltover are the bad guys for leaving them in poverty, and this is their only way of fighting back. At the same time it's easy to think he was just manipulating her when Vi turned up alive, but he's been seeing his own trauma in her for the better part of a decade. He doesn't know any better than that Vi actually abandoned her all those years ago just like Vander abandoned him. He has no reason to believe she will actually want to be with her sister again, in his eyes she's a traitor, just like Vander was to him.
In the main universe, Powder dealt with the grief and guilt of accidentally killing her brothers. In this universe, she deals with the grief and guilt of accidentally killing her sister. The main difference is who her father is. Vander is a good dad. Silco absolutely corrupted her in the main universe.
23:05 I don't think Claggor and Mylo are being a "couple" in that scene.... Rather, I think they're just giving classic big brother vibes, watching and being proud of their kid sister getting together with a guy they approve of. In this timeline, they're much closer and so, probably knew what Powder was planning for her big entrance.
FYI the dance scene is in 4 frame per second because echo can only go for 4 seconds back in time. It shows how echo wishes to stay in one of those moment.
This show is what happens when you take the concept of the EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER and anthropomorphisize it starring ROLLING TRAIN WRECKS for characters. Until the last two minutes, this episode is the only episode that is free of that chaos and yet I still cry.
I’m thinking Heimer helped facilitate the exchange of thoughts between Zaun and Piltover in those 3 years, especially with the whole Innovators Competition.
@@Cornberry this Heimerdinger had the benefit of being shocked out of his complacency by being kicked off the council, thus venturing into Zaun to see the results of his negligence first hand. He had three years to be more proactive about uplifting Zaun in this timeline.
The detail in the intro of Jinx looking unsure/confused while "waving the flag" of the revolution is such a great little thing I hadn't noticed until recently.
Man, I love Heimer's line about enjoying the time you have. I don't know if you have seen the cinematic they made about 10 years ago when they released Ekko in League of Legends, but he has a similar sentiment about making the most of every moment.
I JUST NOTICED!!! When Echo first sees Powder in the alt universe, she's JINX in the reflection on the cabinet!! Seeing Jinx next to Powder is so surreal! So goooood!!!
Something that hit me really hard in this episode is that it reminded me that Ekko and Powder/Jinx are teenagers... the harshness of their lives forced them to grow up wayyyy too fast. This alternate universe shows them doing teenager stuff.
Did you noticed the locket Ekko gives to Powder at the end : 1) is made from the shards of the hextech ball he collected for the blue rose on one face. That's why it's glitching the moment when Ekko and Heimer started the anomaly device. And I think that's, may be, why Powder put it away in the Vi drawer. 2 ) the two faces symbolises respectivelly Ekko and Powder according hair color.
This was such a heartfelt reaction. Didn't see it from start to finish, only specific parts about it. But even still, it hit you plenty of times throughout the whole thing. This episode for me was the strongest of the entire season in terms of narrative, theming, structure and just overall performances + the music. Everything was done so well, the parallelisms, the juxtapositions, the easter eggs, the details. And seeing my boy Ekko get plenty of love after being ignored for most of season 2 was great! 11/10 episode for me.
23:40 If Vi knew that her dying that fateful day would result in this universe, she would have signed it without a second thought. This is all that she ever wanted, all she has always risking her life to achieve.
I think she knew. I think he told her what was going on at the tree when he told her about his painting of Vi. I think that is why she was not weird about his "like its the first time" comment and why right after he told her about needing her help they went to visit vi's shrine. I think that was him telling her about his timeline where Vi lived. It makes sense to me.
I absolutely think she knew too. Powder is very smart after all; not only did she read the notes, but during the whole process of building the hexgate and the z-drive she would have figured what was going on. Or perhaps, as you said, as soon as she asked Ekko what he needed her for, perhaps Heimerdinger and Ekko had no option to tell her if she was inquisitive enough. And you can tell she has her suspicions and is aware of the whole situation mid way through the episode with her melancholic stares here and there, which makes it all the more heartbraking, because she grew very fond of him too.
Don't worry about Heimerdinger, he's a Yordle and they can never truely die, they are like faerie spirits kinda, he just revives at his home of Bandle City
True. I really wish she never loses anyone. Just like in the real world where we never have to worry about losing loved ones, because it never happens. ❤❤❤
This is definitely my favorite episode of the season, its so beautiful 😍🥺😭 I'm so happy to that at least in one universe Ekko and Powder (Jinx) are happy together ⏳💣💚💙 I'm actually obsessed with the song ma meilleure ennemie 😍😭 the dance scene was perfect
The fact that they managed to nail such a huge range of character types with Powder/Jinx while still making her always feel like the same character/having obvious threads tying each version together is an insane feat of storytelling. As impressive as Arcane as a whole is, if there’s any one thing that stands out as extra phenomenal it has to be that. The sheer diversity within Jinx’s character arc(s) should really be studied. Not only is she in a wildly different stage in each plotline, she also has a lot of layers and complexity within each of those stages. Gotta be the most impressive character ever written
Heimer lived a VERY long life. Maybe he learnt guitar before Arcane begin. Also, he is a yordle. What means that when he "dies", he just respawns in Brandle City. We just don't know on which reality that will happen...
-Season 2 Episode 7 Spin the Wheel Lyrics (Vocals by Mick Wingert/AKA the voice of Heimerdinger): [Verse 1] Go spin the wheel and see where it lands Join in the circus, stay for a dance, and Right when the war quiets down, ya strike up the band Keep marching on, my friends And do what you can [Verse 2] Wait 'til your brothers and your sisters, see where you been And if you loved the journey more than the end, go ahead Just turn that hourglass around and count to ten This ain't goodbye no more Nah, it just began [Bridge] March on, my friends Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh [Verse 3] Go and make some mistakes, you live and you learn And where the chips fall, it's not your concern, nah Like the wind gonna breeze, the fires'll burn Just let the gears, my friend Oh, just let the gears, my friend Let 'em turn 🧡 💜
I think of many threads. Marcus seeing a dead little girl, arrests Jayce and never works with Silco, hextech never invented due to danger. Vander and Silco reunited because they lost their best friend's daughter (maybe silco reads the letter). Heimerdinger finally cares for the undercity still as a counsellor (makes the changes the city never did), doing more in 3 years than he maybe did in 300.
Heimerdinger got sent to the past, Ekko got sent to a parallel present and Jayce got sent to the future! Each corresponding to where they tend to focus they energy. Also, Heimerdinger went back 3+ years with all the knowledge and understanding that he had in the present. He was still head of the council and knew exactly what was happening in the undercity of Zaun and chose differently on how to handle things. That is also what changed things for the better.
Caitlyn was already looking for a way out from Ambessa's influence, but Caitlyn knew it was a potentially lethal situation having no allies in Ambessa's entourage. With Vi as an ally, Caitlyn could have a safer chance escape Ambessa, as well as help Vi with her father. Vi dying in the alternate timeline may have caused the council to review their policies toward Zaun (or the Undercity). As in, an inquiry into the living conditions were to cause these children to feel compelled to steal from the Upper city.
Wow, I only noticed while watching your reaction, when Powder first shows up you can see Jinx' reflection in the window first. I honestly didn't know I needed this episode in my life!
My theory is that Vi’s death was really crucial to this version of the future because of how Vander and Silco felt about her and Powder’s mother and it brought them together in addition to topside realizing what they had done to an under city child.
funny thing is, in the very first episode when the hexcrystal explodes, there is a small fakeout to make you think Vi got caught in the blast. i wonder if this episode was in the writers mind when they did that.
Also, it's crazy how the parallels work between Jayce and Viktor Viktor was a "nobody", a cripple from the underground who worked himself up in Piltover Jayce falling into that cave, becoming a "nobody" basically, being crippled, and having to work himself up as well to get out of the cave
I love the song Ma Meilleure Ennemie or My Best Enemy. The lyrics "Flee from me, the worst is you and I." "What kind of emotion is it hatred or affection when I hear your name?" "I should walk away from you, but as the saying goes better to be in bad company than alone." Riot, Stromae, Pomme, chef's kiss.
Angela: you should look up the lyrics to the French song playing during the dance scene Mais ma meilleure ennemie, c'est toi Fuis-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi. “But my best enemy is you Run from me The worst is you and me”
The Dinger is a Yordle. They are creatures of pure magic. When they "die", they respawn in their own dimension of Bandle City. Fun fact, Smeech is also a Yordle. I get a laugh thinking of him respawning back their without all his tech/augments and being pissed off.
You're the best thing that ever happened to me But also the worst thing that ever happened to me The day I met you, I might have wished That day had never happened (happened) The worst blessing The most beautiful of curses I should stay away from you But as the saying goes Rather than be alone, it's better to be badly accompanied You know what they say Be close to your dearest friends But also Even closer to your adversaries But my best enemy is you Run away from me, the worst is you and me But if you're still looking for my voice Forget me, the worst is you and me Why your name hurts me when it hides When it hides right there in space Which emotion is it, hate Or the sweetness when I hear your name I told you, don't look back The past that follows you, makes war on you But my best enemy is you Run away from me, the worst is you and me But if you're still looking for my voice Forget me, the worst is you and me 💜
I subscribe to the idea that Powder saw Ekko needed the hex crystals but instead of giving the ones she had, she just wanted to spend time with Ekko in this project of his
12:12 It's not said, but likely... Zaun. Heimerdinger probably used his position and three years head start to pay attention to the problems of the Undercity this time around. Vander would definitely be willing to work with him to do things like open that bazaar on the bridge, clean up the air, etc.
Just to give you a bit of peace of mind, Heimerdinger is a yordle, a magical race that is immortal. So he probably didn't die, he just respawned in Bandle city, which is the birth place of all yordles (I might have gotten some of the details wrong, I don't play league, but I've done a bit of research into the lore)
One of the main symptoms of watching this episode is that you're going to be spending the next MONTHS with the song "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" resonating in your head. I love this episode, I think I can even say that it's my favorite of the season. Just in case you haven't read it somewhere, Heimerdinger is a yordle, spiritual beings that, according to League of Legends lore, are immortal. That is, when a yordle dies, they are reborn in their home, Bandle City. Although it's not explicitly stated, the fact that Heimerdinger has been in that universe for about three years and everything is so harmonious, and there is no inequality between Zaun and Piltover, makes me think that Heimerdinger took note of what he saw in Zaun when he was expelled from the Council, in season 1, and took advantage of this new reality to try to take care of everything that wasn't taken care of in the "official" reality.
Ekko gave up heaven heaven to save hell. Also, if you want to feel emotionally destroyed again, look up the translation to the song that he and Powder were dancing to. It's beautiful in a very tragic way, which fits them perfectly.
Ekko's time loop maximum is 4 seconds. Heimerdinger has been in the alternate universe for 4 years. The Powder/Ekko dance scene was "shot" at a rate of 4 frames per second. May the 4's be with you! The English version of Heimerdinger's song, Spin The Wheel, was sung by Heimerdinger's voice actor, Mick Wingert.
I think Ekko and Jayce both got the worlds that they needed to see. Ekko, from what he says, needed that hope to believe that there could exist a world where things were okay and the undercity could be happy and hospitable. And Jayce needed something to instill him with resolve because up until this he has always been kind of wishy-washy with his convictions just doing whatever the last person to talk with him asked.
What I love about the amazing writing of this show... I'm not surprised I was crying at this episode, but bittersweet 'what could have been' and lost opportunity was a totally different flavor than I expected.
I remember seeing another channel of two sisters reacting to that Vi scene too and i wondered "wo, being sisters this scene must be more heart breaking 💔" and i just had the same thought, great reaction and comments on the episode
Jayce quite literally climbed up from the undercity with a busted leg using a crutch. Full Viktor experience.

Oddly enough, Sting's song "What could have been" fits this episode perfectly too
This episode knocked me off my senses unexpectedly.
Well, and they’ve got a heimerdinger who understands all the mistakes they made in another world too
He was only in that reality for 3 years tho, the Zaun-Piltover prosperity grew long before that
The explosion could have also killed Jayce and Caitlyn we weren’t shown those two
"the base violence necessary for change"
24:24 the transition from pure happiness to Jayce just absolutely going through it is diabolical 😭
Dude they really switched from Ekko having the best week of his life to Jayce spending a whole year in a FromSoft game
Seen elsewhere: 'Jayce had the strength to push through hell, Ekko had the strenght to leave behind Heaven'.
YAY! Episode 7!!! ❤ I have been excited for this reaction. You pick up on so much I missed the first time watching! You are meant to be a reactor!
I cried more over this episode than any other episode. Seeing everyone happy and alive hurt more than anything.
Fun fact: Ekko and Powder dancing was played in 4 frames a second showing how Ekko wants to replay that moment over and over again.
A sad thought to think, but if Caitlyn had also died her mother would have absolutely used her position to make Hextech illegal.
The quick flash of Powder crying over Vi makes me cry every time I watch a reaction to it. Man.
People tend to overlook that Heimerdinger 1000+ days in that Alternate Universe he played a huge role in bringing Piltover/Zaun together as one nation.
Ekko - "it's not about giving people what they need to survive, it's about giving what they need to live"
Heimerdinger took that to heart and incorporated it into that universe
this might be the best episode of the entire show for me, and that's an incredible feat considering how amazing the rest is
Heimerdinger species, Yordles are immortal. When they "die", they respawn to their home Brandle City. He's the player in a video game. Lol
being in the game doesnt guarantee their survival at all- the way LoL works all of their champions are pulled from different moments in their timelines, usually whenever they're at their peak, so even if someone dies the rift pulls a version of them from before that point in their timeline
@@RileyRieker8593I think OP meant that Heimendinger has respawns like player in videogame.
Heimmerdinger actually says the time between the release of Season 1... and the release of Season 2 😮 ...nice one Riot
Wait really? That is such a cool detail if true!
@@AgonizingDemise and it's fitting too, given how yordles operate by partially meta logic sometimes.
Vi's death is also probably the catalyst for Vander and Silco making amends, and instead of becoming a drug lord Silco helping Vander is what leads to Topside and Zaun reconciling and working together, turning the Lanes into the bustling and prosperous place we see in this episode.
this show is such a work of art… great insight as always!
when i first watched this episode i was more focused on ekko’s emotional reaction… your reaction really made me focus on powder and vi and i loved it :)
All it took was Vi dying, heimerdinger wanting to actually help the undercity for about 3 years, and silco presumably reading vander's letter
Maybe in the next series 😊
@@lilunette9319 creator did confirm he's not finished with Heimerdinger, he's all good and with Arcane being the new canon, I doubt they'll change the yordle lore
I just love the idea of smeech's ratty ass respawning in bandle city totally PISSED
@@ijornhribrudkrvirbro lost the gulag fight ☠️
I am afraid that line 'always with you sis' will be very painful for Angela because of her unfortunate life experience😢
Heimerdinger goes to the past because he's so preoccupied with historical events.
Ekko goes to the present day because he's the "boy who broke time."
Jayce goes to the future because he's the "Man of tomorrow."
#HeimerdingerLives Yordle's are made of magic... When they get killed or die they reincarnate back to the place where they're first born.
I've been waiting for this BANGER of an episode!!!
@@Hleler Just so I understand. What credit specifically am I failing to give?
I read it as Claggor having a crush on Mylo
Yeah this one wrecked me. Best episode of the entire series, in my opinion. 😭❤️
Fun fact: owls are the only ones among the birds who can see blue color
Guess whose mask Ekko wearing as a firelight?
Something that hit me really hard in this episode is that it reminded me that Ekko and Powder/Jinx are teenagers... the harshness of their lives forced them to grow up wayyyy too fast. This alternate universe shows them doing teenager stuff.
Did you noticed the locket Ekko gives to Powder at the end :
1) is made from the shards of the hextech ball he collected for the blue rose on one face. That's why it's glitching the moment when Ekko and Heimer started the anomaly device. And I think that's, may be, why Powder put it away in the Vi drawer.
2 ) the two faces symbolises respectivelly Ekko and Powder according hair color.
So good to see a healthy Powder =D
Jayce went through hell to save his world, but Ekko gave up heaven to do the same.
The alternative world is much better because of Heimerdinger. He is the most powerfull counsil member and had 3 years to change everything.
was looking forward to your reaction to this. Probably my favourite of the series.
Best episode of the season! Also, when Powder and Ekko are dancing, it’s at 4fps - 4 seconds - the amount of time Ekko’s Z-Drive can go back.
4:24 I've been saying Vanderwick, myself.
Ekko and heim were playing life is strange
Jayce was playing bloodborne/elder scrolls
Best episode of the series...imo.
💯
King & Queen of Zaun!! Timebomb Ws everywhere!!
16:01 Heimerdinger found himself flung into a parallel world as a level 30 Artificer and said ehat the hell, why not pick up a level or two of Bard? 😅
Jayce had to escape hell while ekko had to leave heaven.
Fun fact. The creators confirmed online that in that timeline Caitlyn was also dead.
Curious, did they say what killed her?
@@btsan408 Same thing that killed Vi. If you remember she was on the other side of the wall with Jayce when those crystals blew up.
Don't worry about Heimerdinger, he's a Yordle and they can never truely die, they are like faerie spirits kinda, he just revives at his home of Bandle City
It's so tragic...no matter what reality she's in, no matter how perfect, Powder always has to go through loss of some kind.
True. I really wish she never loses anyone. Just like in the real world where we never have to worry about losing loved ones, because it never happens. ❤❤❤
I mean, we all go through loss. But yeah, in every reality, Powder has it rough with the trauma.
-Season 2 Episode 7 Spin the Wheel Lyrics (Vocals by Mick Wingert/AKA the voice of Heimerdinger):
[Verse 1]
Go spin the wheel and see where it lands
Join in the circus, stay for a dance, and
Right when the war quiets down, ya strike up the band
Keep marching on, my friends
And do what you can
[Verse 2]
Wait 'til your brothers and your sisters, see where you been
And if you loved the journey more than the end, go ahead
Just turn that hourglass around and count to ten
This ain't goodbye no more
Nah, it just began
[Bridge]
March on, my friends
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh
[Verse 3]
Go and make some mistakes, you live and you learn
And where the chips fall, it's not your concern, nah
Like the wind gonna breeze, the fires'll burn
Just let the gears, my friend
Oh, just let the gears, my friend
Let 'em turn
🧡 💜
Giiiirl that's the spirit being 30 seconds into the episode and already crying.. My exact reaction
*Head canon* Mylo and Claggor in an open relationship where Mylo chases the ladies but always comes back to his man. Yeah I'll be over here crying.
Arcane Season 1 OST has been my go-to shower playlist for the last 3 years lol
The way the anomaly works with Victor is vastly similar to the proto-molecule.
💯
Fun fact that broke my heart even more... the dance was animated in 4 frames per second because thats how long Ekko can go back with the Z Drive.
Wow, I only noticed while watching your reaction, when Powder first shows up you can see Jinx' reflection in the window first. I honestly didn't know I needed this episode in my life!
23:10 always useful to remember bisexuals exist :) i don't have a take on this specific character, that phrasing just stood out to me
My theory is that Vi’s death was really crucial to this version of the future because of how Vander and Silco felt about her and Powder’s mother and it brought them together in addition to topside realizing what they had done to an under city child.
funny thing is, in the very first episode when the hexcrystal explodes, there is a small fakeout to make you think Vi got caught in the blast. i wonder if this episode was in the writers mind when they did that.
Also, it's crazy how the parallels work between Jayce and Viktor
Viktor was a "nobody", a cripple from the underground who worked himself up in Piltover
Jayce falling into that cave, becoming a "nobody" basically, being crippled, and having to work himself up as well to get out of the cave
Angela: you should look up the lyrics to the French song playing during the dance scene
Mais ma meilleure ennemie, c'est toi
Fuis-moi, le pire, c'est toi et moi.
“But my best enemy is you
Run from me
The worst is you and me”
The Dinger is a Yordle. They are creatures of pure magic. When they "die", they respawn in their own dimension of Bandle City. Fun fact, Smeech is also a Yordle. I get a laugh thinking of him respawning back their without all his tech/augments and being pissed off.
Omg, *this* episode... Whew!😮💨😌

I subscribe to the idea that Powder saw Ekko needed the hex crystals but instead of giving the ones she had, she just wanted to spend time with Ekko in this project of his
The cut from Ekko and Powder in their cute little dance scene directly to Jayce speedrunning a Doom level was diabolical lmao
12:12 It's not said, but likely... Zaun. Heimerdinger probably used his position and three years head start to pay attention to the problems of the Undercity this time around. Vander would definitely be willing to work with him to do things like open that bazaar on the bridge, clean up the air, etc.
I have been playing the soundtrack for this season on repeat, totally obsessed
Singed, has one motive: to cure death. Vander being a key is tied to that goal.
Jhin confirmed
just realized this but i think Powders audio when she was holding VI in Jayce's apartment is the same audio from the end of s1e3
"Let's mash up Freaky Friday and Annihilation!" said no one ever but it works!
