The efficiency of wap7 can be increased by introducing kando system rather than tradtional rectifier inverter system , being an electrical engineer i would suggest that we should control the speed of motors using VVVF controller
WDP 4 my favorite and is far superior WDP 4 hauled a speed of 180 kmph with talgo trials and I am from West Bengal and I remember when I first saw the wdp 4 attached to NJP HWH Shatapdi in 2013 it was awesome and very fast and was allowed speeds up to 120 kmph later the wdp 4 was permitted with NJP HWH Shatapdi 130 kmph and in my gps speedometer it showed 132 kmph and the engine makes such an amazing jet like sound and looks like a bullet train

Sir... Till date I have never seen a WDP 4 loco of any variant with Bo-Bo wheel arrangement. All I have seen is with the Co-Co arrangement. I learnt that the earliest model of it came with the Bo-Bo arrangement but couldn't find any pic of it... Also in this VDO of yours we can see a Co-Co model WDP 4. Aisa hota to Gatimaan express mey WAP 5 ki jagah WAP-7 lagta .Bogie design goods aur passenger locomotive ke liye alag hota hai. Ambassador car mein Ferari ki engine laga dene se Ambassador 300 kph ki raftar nahi pakad sakta ... uska accident ho jayega .. WAp-7 abhi tak shayad 140 kmph ke liye hi cleared hai ..
In trial wap 7 reached 210 km/h And wdp 4d 200 km/h But in the end both are operated at average 100km/h And maximum 160km/h Or 140kmh Wdp 4d is capable of more but if they try it could cause accident.

Electric locos like WAP 5/7 are more benifitial in high speed and superfast train routes whereas diesel locos like NDM/ZDM are beneficial in hilly as well as rural routes where less trains operate.
My favourite passenger locomotives is WDP4D because it has dual cabin and it looks very gorgeous.
Also a whistle sound

Lakin Sir, Mera favorite diesel engine WDP-4 KJM hai. Yei engine India mai bahut acha engine hai. Aisa wala engine aur develop karo jitna bhi WDM diesel engine hai usko replace karke WDP-4 Diesel engine chalna chahiye kyunki yei engine full speed chalta hai. Yei engine har state mai production hona chahiye aur jitna bhi express train main attach hokar chalna hai. WDP-4 KJM firse production chaliye aur engine pura failana hai.

Electric locomotive is more economical in terms of maintainence but Diesel is more beneficial in hilly, mountainous and steep gradient tracks..
