Let me know if this was helpful and how it worked for you? I'm curious! Can't wait to hear your stories!
My back bumper is cracked and loose. It looks bad. How do I make it look decent? I used duct tape.
You'll most likely have to replace it if it's cracked.
I have exact same issue I will try 👍👍
can be on a toyota vitz 2005
Thank you for making this video. My bumper is the same way . I took it to 2 body shop for estimate. 1 place wants $3,000. And the other one is $400. I'm gonna try and fix it myself. Paula LaGuire. Lafayette Indiana
Thanks! This, coupled with another video - taping off bumper and quarter panel, and inserting jbweld in the joint- helped my son save $1400 on a loose bumper of a10 year old Lexus. Thanks so much!
My pleasure! It takes "drive" to watch several videos to get to a positive end result. I'm glad your son saved some cash. That's always the goal! 👊
Hey saw your comment on the other video 😅🎉
I had the same issue on my lancer, this was a simple fix that deserves more views, thanks.
Thank you! Did this technique help to fix your Lancer?
@@UnfavorableGamer oh yea it was easy and it's still working so far
I just realized that I was logged into one of my other channels when I replied to your comment. I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@NHSSHINOBI can you show us how did you do the repair on your lancer?
I hope he can
I got broken tab but from medial side. Do you think it will work ?
Oh wow this is so helpful. Thank you so much. I don’t have to go to a dealer to fix it.
I hope it works out for you!
Thank yooooooooooou very much. May God bless you and your family. You just fix my Honda Odyssey bumper.
I'm glad I could be of assistance. My vehicle was a Honda Odyssey also. You fixed it, I just showed you how. Thank you for watching and commenting. I'm in the process of reviving this channel and will be uploading more videos soon.
My sister was riding around with the back bumper loose like this thank you
You're welcome. To be honest, it never occurred to me to suggest using this on the rear bumper. Awesome!
Mine is loose too
Had this happened to me today, yes, Christmas Day in Australia and the shops are closed the entire week! Now I know what I need to do. Mine's the rear bumper of a Mitsubishi Colt. Hopefully can be done the same way if there's a screw....
I hope it worked for you. Sucks that all the ships were closed. Let me know how it all came out. 👊
@@THEDIYMIKE it did. Thank you Mike!
Would this be the same process for the front bumper ?
I literally fixed it in less then a minute thanks man
Awesome! Just remember, it's not a forever fix but it'll get you by.
Simple and to the point, thank you hope this works on my car
I hope it does as well. It won't work for all but it may for you.
thank you very much every other tutorial uses glue when in reality the problem is not with the bumper bracket but with the loose screw, I would've gotten scammed off of 50$ just for them to put glue and for my bumper to fall back, but your tutorial saved me!!!
Wow. Simple and easy. I feel like a cry baby for panicking whenever my bumper started to sag.
Hah, like I said in the video though, it won't work for every make and model but it will for quite a few. Hope it helps and thanks for watching.
Like a Boss ! 2 Min that’s my kinda repair 💯
Hahaha, mine too!
I'm driving like this for months now! Can't wait to try and I think it will work Thank youuuu
Let me know, I'm curious. It seems to be effective for many folks.
Hello Mike my 2011 odyssey doesn't have this attachment it's have black rectangular bracket so please let me know how to fix it
I need to try it
I’m going to try this on my Nissan Rogue, I have the same issue as that part came out when I backed up my car, it looks like it can be pushed in but I think I have to try what you did and it might work
It might. Either way in many cases it is a temporary fix. I hope it works!
Thank you very much for the demo dear DIY MIKE, so in your case there is nothing physically broken? That's why you can just snap it back in place?
Thanks for watching! You would be correct, nothing is broken so I was able to simply secure it back in place. I hope that's the case for you too.
@@THEDIYMIKE Thank you kindly for your speedy reply dear sir. Wish you having a wonderful afternoon!
You as well. Take care.
Hi mike. Great video. I need your help here. I want to remove fender and stuck on removing this white spacer that locks bumper. Can you guide me how to do this?
That can be very make and model dependent. Keep in mind that there are many spacers and retainers like that around the entire bumper. What automobile do you have that you need to do this with?
@@THEDIYMIKE Thanks for reply mike. I have 2005 hinda odyssey EX.
Well, I don't have the van anymore to be able to make a video and show you. However, I can provide you this link to a video that will show you how to remove the bumper so that you can easily access the clip. ua-cam.com/video/TB96_GXKf9I/v-deo.html I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please ask and I'll do what I can to help!
Thank you so much mike. I already reached the clip but problem was how to remove clip from fender. There is not much space to work on it si finally i took it to body shop. I was trying to save $100 and change the fender myself but this clip didn't let me save my money. 😩😩🤣🤣.
Anyhow thank you so much for your time and help. May you always be blessed.
Do you think this will work on my 2013 Honda Civic? All the clips seem to still be intact so I hope I can just pop it back it
If the clips are in tact it's a very good chance that you'll be able to pop it back in there. Hopefully the bumper where the clips secure to it isn't torn or damaged.
I was told the brackets themselves are cheap & might have been warped over time. Hopefully thst will help you to stop having to so this over and over again.
Genius super simple fix
Awesome! Just remember, sometimes it's only temporary. Glad I could assist.
That was amazing thank you sir🎉😊
Is it similar for the back bumper?
Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure and Thank you 😊
Thanks for the informative video, lots of help!
You're welcome! Thanks for commenting and watching!
Thanks just saved $2200
That's awesome! I hope it holds. I had to do mine several times. 👊
What vehicle was this on? What vehicles is the relevant for??
Thanks soo much for this vid bro!!!👌😁 Awesome help!!
Needing help . My back bumper is cracked after someone hit it ...it's loose and cracked . How do fix that?
Well, once cracked and loose you will most likely have to replace it. Bumpers today aren't really able to be repaired when cracked.
what if my entire bracket broke off so now there is nothing there for me to screw into. is there some type of clamp/screw that i can use to connect the bottom piece to the top piece?
So, that I'm not familiar with and Don't have an answer that I'm comfortable with. There are other videos out there for this type of repair, however, they're a bit more destructive. Sorry I can't help.
Wow super dope man. Need to see if there’s the same screw on the 2013 model. Thanks !!
I hope so. Let me know how it worked out.
Great job on the repair sir. Thank You for your time and effort for this video. Have A Good Day. 🛻🚤🏖️
It’s kinda hard to tell- but what was the purpose of pulling the white bracket down? Were you able to tuck the bumper in above it and then tighten to hold in place?
Yes, you are absolutely correct. I had to pull it down slightly to be able to get the bumper tucked.
Absolute legend.
Thank you DIY Mike !
My pleasure
Excellent fix Thank you
Whats that “shroud” called at 1:39 ? Just got a car with it and its busted and holy, the front bumper is good it just cant be clipper back on due to the shroud not having a complete surface
I'm not sure of the exact name. I would say it would be something to the effect of a wheel well shroud.
Looks easy to repair
In most cases, yes.
Awesome vid literally priceless.
Well Thank you for watching and commenting! 👊
Thank you!!
My back bumper has a circle type screw - any idea what tool would release it?
Typically those have a 2 "circles" the outer one is what holds it in place and the inner pops out. Use a flat head screw driver to gently pry the center one out to you and it should release.
@@THEDIYMIKE spot on dude! Took it to auto store they said the same thing
Awesome!
What to do to properly fix the part that the bumper hooks to. Bought a brand new bumper and it will fit properly but it wont stay in.
You may need a new clip or to be sure that it's seated properly and fully. These bumpers can be a real pain in the arse
My problem is from other direction by headlight, retread flew off semi on Interstate and flew into my front bumper, the 3 clips starting at headlight going back won't stay snapped together
Yeah, that's a more serious issue. You may need new clips altogether or a body shop for assistance.
Simple and to the point, thank you! Will this work on a Hyundai s3? May do this this week!
It may, most bumper setups are relatively close to the same. Let me know!
Your the man!!
Thanks for the video. Since you said you have had to do that a couple of times, I'd guess that a little dab of gorrilla glue on those plastic parts before you screw it down would keep it down even better.
I suppose that wouldn't hurt. I didn't want to advocate someone applying adhesive to their vehicle although improvising can always be adapted to any "how to" video. I may consider that the next time mine comes loose. Thanks for the thought!
will try this today. thanks so much for the tip!
You bet! Let me know how it works for you.
@@THEDIYMIKE worked like a charm!!! Thank you so much Mike! ♥️♥️♥️
That's excellent! I'm glad it worked.
Most such accidents result in the bumper's tab (i.e., where the screw is supposed to hold onto) being broken, thus making such re-connections temporary, at best: one good bump, and it's back to the garage (yours or a mechanic's). And, many cars have multiple screws (some are plastic) and tabs that are out of reach of most DIY'ers. More often than not, a new hole has to be drilled in a nearby place, and you may even have to go through the bumper to do it, as I had to do with one car, using a screw-on rivet (hardly anyone notices it, because the smooth, flat, head looks as if it's part of the original car design, but, it won't pass muster, close-up). In another car, I used airplane lacing cord (a very strong, flat, thin, waxy, cord) to hold the back of the bumper to the car body, completely out-of-sight; three years later and it's still holding (n.b., I had to use a jack to lift the car up enough for me to work, comfortably, from underneath, and, yes, I used jack stands to ensure my safety!).
This is an excellent comment and spot on. Everything you said is accurate and helpful. Thanks for your time in making this post.
Like brand new, good to go. God bless
Awesome!
Thanks!
Awesome diy!
Thank you 👊
I ran over a curb going 80mp and ripped my whole bumper off. had to buy a new one and it’s kind of hanging a bit 😅
I hope that you're okay!
@@THEDIYMIKE Most definitely am, boss! Thank ya
Excellent!
Thanks,Mike!
No problem!
How much is this to repair at mechanic? I have a Honda Civic Coupe 2006
I'm not entirely sure but, I would estimate in the hundreds of dollars. They may even tell you it needs replaced, which could be the case. At that point it could be over $1,000.
thanks for the upload 👍
my 05 bracket won't budge can the bracket be removed or no ?
The brackets typically don't show a lot of movement. I'm not certain as to if it can be removed or not. Once you loosen the screw it should have some wiggle room. I recommend not removing it completely though, it can be rather arduous to get it back in place.
@@THEDIYMIKE thanks for the response
You bet
Thanks!!!
Boom! Good video
That is genius!
Thanks! A simple fix that will work for many but not all. I hope it works for you!
Awesome...thanks for this 👍
I hope it helped. Like I said in the video, it won't work for all but it's easy
Can you do a video for a loose side mirror casing?
What vehicle?
DIY MIKE Nvm it’s beyond repair
Aww, that's unfortunate. Sorry to hear that.
Got this with my outlander
Awesome, thanks!
You bet! I hope it works for you.
Awesome 👍 thanks
I hope it works for you!
thanks boss
Dude is it the same with honda city???
It may or may not be. I'm not familiar with that model specifically. However, the majority of bumpers are assembled in a similar fashion. It is possible that it could work but I cannot guarantee it to be the same. I hope this helps.
@@THEDIYMIKE thanks mike
You bet
Thank you!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
You bet!
Wow! Thx
Use locktight next time it wont loosten up.
Wonderful tip! Thanks!
Thanks
My pleasure. 👊
You see how the flap is loose . it’s like covering the wheel kind of is that a big deal
My flap was worn down from the tire before I realized what happened. It's there to protect the engine bay from excessive road spray and debris. Over time it could be a significant issue in my opinion.
@@THEDIYMIKE mine is coming off it looks like it’s missing screws or something
Hmm, see if you can find a diagram somewhere showing exactly how it should be mounted.
great!!! thx!! 💋
My pleasure! Thanks for the comment and watching. 👊
That's a fix 👍
Roger that
Wow saved me $2k for my bumper
That's great to hear! Now enjoy a nice night out with money saved!
I have tried this and lasted a few weeks so not really a proper repair. A fudge job is the title you want to use!
Yeah, I did state in the video that it would most likely have to be done multiple times. It's a good repair for a trade in to squeak by. The alternative is an expensive proper repair.
THANK YOU... The title clearly says "repair", not "click bait" (as it should). Not even a little helpful
I'm sorry it wasn't what you needed.
whoa!
Thank you!!!!!
You are welcome. I assume that it worked for you then?
What a bloody "Mickey Mouse" way of supposedly fixing a mere broken bracket on this bumper!! Sure it has worked but for how long??? That was just a sheer waste of time & effort & a job like this it'll be damn interesting to see exactly how long this fancy repair will last!! (yeah right) It should have been fixed properly in the very first instance & for the longer term & not just a temporary fix as in this video duly portrays!! Further a job of this nature does not require either expensive specialist tools or even a lot of head knowledge but more importantly it does require some bloody common sense which is a due facet not all of us have access to these days!! I'm actually a certified computer tech (so how boring is that??) & I simply learnt how to fix these sorts of plastic vehicle repairs merely by watching "UA-cam DIY" videos as I refused to pay the rip-off prices that the motor vehicle service industry charges for these simple repair jobs!! People would be better off spending time watching & learning "DIY UA-cam Videos" instead of the 99.95% crap that they prefer to view on the TV!! Want to save money on vehicle repairs?? Easy, stay as far away from vehicle workshops as you possibly can & do it yourself. Some of it you can't & will never be able to do but a hell of a lot of it you can indeed so get in & fix it yourself!!
Making some sort of effort to repair the broken plastic (many cheap plastic repair tools on Ebay and Amazon)
parts will make a permanent fix.
I didn't even think to look for "plastic repair tools". There are so many ways to fix this type of problem. Thanks for the comment. 👊
How would you go about fixing a broken bumper retainer?
Most likely you would have to remove the entire bumper to replace the retainer. That can be a great deal more in depth depending on your model.
That plastic fender will catch again and will need to be replaced
You're completely correct. It's a temporary fix.
@@THEDIYMIKE no worries best part is it’s lost cost and take only few minutes thanks for posting
Truth. I didn't think about it at the time but it'll get you by in a pinch on a trade in. That's what I did.
Mcguyver action
Hahahah, that's funny!
I can help brother
I've sold the van a couple years ago. 👊

dam so THATS IT???
She is secure I hope my Audi will be to
Excellent!
Fiberglass works best
As a repair product? Or as a bumper?
It doesn't apply for my Corolla but thanks
Ahh, maybe for another vehicle later. You're welcome though!
I just lose one screw at the back bumper and i cant fit it anymore.
Hmmm, maybe have someone to help you. Sometimes it's better to have an extra set of hands.
A bit of Araldite and she is stuck forever.
I had never heard of this product until now. I Looked it up and may give it a try. Heck, maybe I'll do a video on adhesives. Thanks for introducing it to me.
