In This Video We Will Look At The History Of Flash Gordon, the TV Show and this Classic Action Figure Line.
Loved this show as a kid, Thun was my favorite character. Never got any of these toys though.
These figures are cool and no matter what I dig them! he one thing that always stood out with these was how colorful the entire set is!
Very colorful indeed. I really loved this show as a kid and as an adult I was introduced to Raymond's Flash Gordon by a friend. I've never looked back. Thanks for watching.
@@johnwild8336 please to meet you John wild
The Filmation Flash Gordon series was my favorite cartoon as a kid! Thank you Mr. Wild for another great video!
You're welcome. Thanks for your support.
@@johnwild8336 hello John wild
I wish they would have made more figures.
I remember seeing Filmation"s Flash Gordon series. It was great!
Awesome review on The Flash Gordon figures
Thank you Shawn.
@@johnwild8336 happy st. Patrick's day John wild
I had lizard woman and she worked with my SW figures. I'd say like other Mattel figures (Battlestar Galactica) of the time. The poor paint apps and lack of guns made them pale in comparison to SW even to a kid.
I learned something new. I didn't know there were FG action figures!
Indeed they were. Seek them out.
@@johnwild8336 Mattel should have made some more flash Gordon's action figures John wild
the series was released in 1979 but i herd that the animated movie the greatest adventure of all was released in 1982 and its too bad that the movie was not part of the complete tv series dvd box set as a bones feature so it be a truly complete collection set
I just saw Flash and Ming (large) figures at Target. Apparently NECA got the license to make these new ones. The only problem is that they're about $35 each. Ouch. But I loved the original series and figures. Great review!
I've been resistant to purchasing these. I love the vintage stuff. But for folks that want to relive the experience. Kudos.
@@johnwild8336 is it true that thun the lion person is always in barefeets John wild
Thun as In Thunder not Thoon as in Toon. Good Video Liked and Shared.
I Need To Work On My Mongo Languages. LOL. Thanks For Watching.
I have the flash Gordon figure and this blue beast animal or whatever it is called
Filmation Flash Gordon best ever adaptation of character
It's very good. I enjoy reading the Alex Raymond original Sunday comic strips. Seek them out.. you won't be disappointed.
@@johnwild8336 will do - remember the 1930s serials were shown on UK TV in the 70s very cool
What a missed opportunity they had by never putting out action figures of the golden robots Ming was always sending out. They coukd have been troop builders almost up there with stormtroopers and cobra soldiers. Hopefully someday either a custom will be made or maybe even Super7.
I like them but that's silly with the tails since if anything that should aid in it standing. Likely the fixed connection point, if it swiveled you could stop it from pushing the figure forward.
Considering Boss Fight Studio are making figures based on the Filmation series. You got to wonder if they'll release versions of the Lizard woman, especially since they do make fantasy themed female action figures.
Possibly. Would Be Neat To Have A Modern Representation Of This Great Toy Line.
@@johnwild8336 I wonder how come filmation didn't show the flash Gordon's cartoon movie in movie theaters everywhere John wild
I was fond of that cartoon- not filmations best but I liked it
Flash Gordon Action Figures by Mattel video was super fun and you know so much about Figures
Thanks for your support.
Does anyone remember Big Jim? In mu opinion he was a much greater action figure. Still these are cool.
A rabbit hole I haven't gone down yet. But maybe. Thanks for watching.
3:12 wow I had a pistol that looked almost exactly like that. It was totally white though, and had 12 sounds. It wasn't Flash Gordon branded.
Mattel rebranding is common. Could be Battlestar Galactica. Thanks for watching.
@@johnwild8336 how come Mattel didn't get ready with flash Gordon's girlfriend John wild
The flash gordon Mattel figures were cool but what happened to the figurines of princess aura and prince barin and dale Arden too, hey they were part of the action too and princess aura was mings daughter too, Mattel forgot to create them🤷♂️. Hey what happened Mattel?
I didn't know if sales were strong enough to create these characters. Lots of great customs out there though. Thanks for watching.
Wow thun the lion person has got barefeets
from Mattel from 79 and Star Trek from Mego from 79. Any advice would be good. Thank you
Watch eBay. These come up often, but don't pay too much, except for Vultan. Reproduction Accessories are Available Too.
Hi friend. I want to buy the hardest to find item of this serie. If i only could buy one what do u recommend It? Vultan MOC or the Rocket Ship in box. What is the hardest? Thank you
I'm Going with The Rocket Ship MIB. I Have Never Even Seen A Loose One. Thanks For Watching.
Who is the 10” green action figure in the beginning of this video
