When I removed the tail light there was no clip! I didn't remove the bumper. I broke the clip from the new tail light and just put it. Finish... But when I tried to remove the bumper it was damaged...Damn.. but I am happy cos I didn't remove the bumper and put it back.
Is it possible to just change the Brake light bulb? I see the "Indicator" bulb seems removable here, but wondering if I can replace the brake bulb without replacing the whole entire light unit.? Thanks,

this so is ridiculous to me considering every other vehicle Ive owned you can swap the tail lights out in the parking lot at a part store within a few minutes, usually with either 3 phillips or 3 torx. Taking the bumper off. Toyota.. really??
Quite a number of vehicles are like these now days, some are easy just like you mentioned, and some a difficult like this one. For the front lights bumper will need to come off too. Remember to Subscribe to my UA-cam Channel if you haven't already.
Such a lot of work removing the whole bumper even left side bolts just to replace the right side tail light. Those three bolts would have suffice to hold the light tight enough without the little tab that the bumper is holding. Bad design by Toyota.

What is the Toyota part number for this tail light? Can you give the name or link of the trademe store that sale this light? The tail lights I found in trademe are different, the brake light LEDs are on the top part.
The lens number should be 06-184 and 06-189 depending on the side you are after . If you search for those numbers on trademe it should come up. Consider Subscribing if you haven't already as I have more useful videos.

I have tow bar installed. I don't understand why the bumper should be removed to replace the tail light. Stupid design....
Because Toyota thought it was a "good" idea to place a tail light tab under the bumper.
