The lightstrike pro in this shoe is full length but it is encased in regular lightstrike (likely 2.0 even though it doesn’t say so, it’s way softer than the original version) foam. It’s harder to tell in this version as entire midsole is whited out, but it’s easier to tell in the black version.
Full-length LSP is correct. It’s encased is LS. There are many formulations of LS now. LS 2.0 seems to be the best. I suspect the outsole is adi-Wear although adidas doesn’t always brand it as such. I’ll be road testing this one soon. adidas will be releasing a new SL72 inspired shoe (SL72 RM is rumored to be the name) that uses LS and BOOST. I’m sure how that and the SL72 RS will coexist. ✌🏽💙👟
@@louidaiv2387 it was a sale on the US Adidas site a few weeks ago. It was right when the SL2 launched which I wasn't expecting but I hopped on it asap!
I have a pair of these and they are awesome. I actually modified them: I took out the stock sockliner/insole and replaced them with a PWRRUN+ sockliner from Saucony. They now run like a pair of Adios Pro 3s over shorter distances (up to 6 miles) but slightly softer and slightly less bounce.
How did these fit? True to size or size up .5 like the last SL version? I’m going to order as soon as I find out the fit. Hope I didn’t miss you mentioning it in the video.
got my pairs for running a few days ago, run my first 20 miles, first 10 was kinda ok, but my toes got scratched a little, so i didnt mind. my second run, filled my !!white shoes full with blood lol, cleaning wasnt that easy i gonna tell you that. soo i wouldnt say i got a wide foot but the toe next to my smallest hurts so bad.... now i got kinda PTSD from that lol... in a few weeks ill try that shoe again to run in, but dont have tons of hope to get it wider after wearing it a little more. maybe ill put somethin in to widen it kinda or strech it... dont know
Sl2 is way better than rise dreamstrike crap. Reinvent or dismiss Rise series. For asked price SL 2 is possibly the Best Adidas shoe. Just don't wear 1080 before you try these:)
In my case it fits my feet like a glove. It's like it's tailored just for my feet and even if I don't take it off my feet wouldn't hurt at all.@@vinayakgupta6105
I bought one in 11 but returned it as it is a bit small...I have ordered size 11.5 which is bigger than I have ever had before. I was impressed with the shoe though. It was light, had a nice feel to it. A contrast to the Kayano 30 I own which is lovely but I felt this kind of complemented it and I'm getting it in black...my Kayonos are blue..nice but shows the dirt and marks easily
LIghtstrike 2.0 is the carrier EVA based foam that is encasing the full length Lightstrike Pro, Adidas' premium race foam. The Lightstrike 2.0 foam on this shoe is I suppose the same as in Boston 12.
I wear a 10.5 in my Boston 12’s which is .5 bigger than my true size, then in this sl2 pair i went a full size up because there was sa rubbing on my left foot probably due to my tailor’s bunion and even it is already a wide version.
Sorry to say this, but I was hoping the quality of your content would improve over time. The narrow depth of field is making it hard to notice the other details of the shoe.

You should try out the new Supernova Prima. It has more Dreamstrike+ than the Rise.

I have the shoes and can confirm this is correct. I mean, I’ve not cut them open but I’m pretty sure!
Yes this is correct
These are bad, lower rank in toebox durability and outsole durability compared to Original SL.

I just exchanged a pair and went a half size up from my tts. They run a bit on the smaller side.
@@E19-m2x I thought that might be the case. Thanks for the heads up
I went up half a size on this
They run lil short so ho half size up
another great review bro! saw your caption saying it's TTS, but how was the fit width-wise? snug?

Can these shoes handle a 32km LSD run, and how do your feet or legs feel after running beyond 30km?"
This color is not available in Europe - checked the German, UK and Spanish sites. Frustrating. No idea why companies do this.

Don't know what you see in regular lightstrike. It's just another stiff shoe. Só many better options out there...
Totally agree , very stiff out of box ! NB got this yrs comfy squishy feel in my opinion
This one is very soft actually compared to the og SL. I love it for walking and running
