      wow i had no idea Honda did that on the Type R. It is so annoying how manufactures are neutering sports cars for us with stuff like this and exhaust systems that sound like garbage for the money we spend on these cars.

      @@autofanaticcars Unfortunately, the times are a changing. Customers want more luxury and tech and we're heading into a screen-enslaved civilization, so working on cars now requires more IT than elbow grease. As for crappy exhausts, blame emission regulations set by world governments.

    Thanks for this helpful video. I did this mod this evening. Just to clarify, you do NOT reinstall the black rubber collar that you remove with the wood screw after removing the CDV, correct? I did not reinstall it, but there seemed to be a tiny bit of play in the connection after reinserting the line and pushing the retaining spring clip back into place. I don't want a situation where it is pumping out a tiny bit of fluid every time I push the clutch pedal in. TIA for the help, and thanks again for the videos. Not gonna lie, as someone with a G82 and a G80 on order, I'm selfishly sad to see you sell the G80 and not make any new content on that platform.

    Not just on new vehicles, removing this on their older M cars makes a difference as well. Silly they even introduced this. If you are buying an M car in manual, they could safely assume it is an enthusiast car and that the person purchasing should know how to drive a manual.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Рік тому +1

      yeah so crazy why they do this in the past they use to say they do this to prevent max torque on the clutch assembly but either way it sucks on the new cars on the older cars it was not as bad as the new G80
