Direct Thoughts: Mario & Luigi Returns, Switch 2 Launch, & More

- I went into this direct with the expectation that we were just going to see a few ports and remasters, and perhaps get a Mario Sports game to round out the Nintendo Switch lineup before Nintendo moved on to its next console. I left pleasantly surprised, and with a few notes about the new Mario & Luigi game, as well as some thoughts about Metroid Prime 4 and the next console. Mario Party Jamboree and Metroid Prime 4 were the 2 most excited announcements for this Direct. Mario Party Jamboree looks like a lot of fun, the boards looks a lot like fun, especially the Rainbow Galleria, im glad ND Cube is finally making their first actual great brand new Mario Party. The last announcement of this Direct being Metroid Prime 4 looks pretty exciting, ive been waiting 7 years for a full reveal, altough it seems strange how it said "2025" at the end without giving us a date, this could potentially be another Breath of the Wild situation, because it looks like Nintendo are marketting it as something "huge".

Most excited about the new Mario Party game imo. Might look at the Mario & Luigi and Memory game but most likely won't play metroid prime, I need mouse and keyboard for FPS
Playing Metroid Prime with motion controls was honestly one of the most underrated experiences I've ever had. It just works.
@@HDRookie Fair, MP3 with the WiiZapper was pretty decent but as someone who grew up playing Doom and Battlefield on PC nothing currently matches the fluidity and easy flick shots of M&K.
also Marvel vs Capcom, that's also a pretty big deal

I decided not to talk about it really. It's appears to be a full priced port, so it just isn't the most interesting thing to discuss for me. Happy that it's available though!

Call me dumb but I actually was actually most hyped for donkey kong country returns and the reason is that was the first game me and my brother got for are wii
I was expecting like 4 ports in the direct just like this one, but it turned out to only really be this one. I've heard good things about this game - I have only played Tropical Freeze though. Is it as good or better?
It's not as good but it is a longer game

seriously what brand new games will Switch 2 have at launch because Nintendo has given away so many new games for Switch 1 it's going to be years until new entries in many franchises? other than 3D Mario and Mario Kart that are all but guarantee there isn't much for Switch 2 first year
I imagine they'll find some ways to surprise us.
