The small engines were teasing him about it! Duncan said, “Don’t you know what a Christmas tree look like? It’s tall and green and pointy.” And that made Thomas cross. Duncan passed the message to Peter Sam and they teased Thomas about it! After that Thomas approached Sir Handel, but then Thomas striked back by saying rude to Sir Handel. Thomas said, “Tall & Green and Pointy! Thank you Sir Handel, I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP!” That made Sir Handel Puzzled. After Thomas found something long on the platform, he felt pleased but Skarloey was about to tell Thomas it’s not a tree but Thomas wouldn’t listen. The pipes smashed into the canal and Thomas felt terrible! In the end, Thomas learned to ask for help when he needs something. FU Thomas for being rude to Sir Handel by abandoned him from asking his question. FU Duncan & Peter Sam for making fun of a tank engine when he’s looking for something!

I think the writers behind "LBB" and "Caillou" are trying to portray a realistic child who isn't perfect and occasionally has meltdowns. The problem is there's nothing positive to balance it out. This is where "Bluey" shines where "LBB" falls on its ass. The girls in "Bluey" aren't perfect and they have bad days, but they're also charming, funny, and imaginative (and most of the worst behavior is reserved for Muffin anyway). LBB is just a brat without any redeeming qualities.

@@mattneff I don’t know how to feel about this series. Part of me understands tantrums are normal at this age when you don’t have the skills or tools to control your emotions, but still it’s annoying. Realistic and annoying.
@@mondenkindqueenI don’t think it’s entirely realistic or good to reinforce tantrums in that target audience. They are always throwing fits in these types of shows and that’s not how kids are. Besides the Bluey character of Muffin is a better balance of bratty and endearing which is how most little kids are.

Why are so many kids' shows of the past 20 years like this?? Caillou, Little Brown Bear, Arthur, all featuring bratty kids and weak parents who do nothing but reward the child's temper tantrum. Do they think this is what kids and their parents wanted to see??

Years ago this series was in the $1 DVD section. I remember a friend of mine getting them for her grandson only to throw them into the trash after viewing them with him.
These videos are always fun to watch. Also i dont really know how long Little Brown Bear has been around, but the fact that he has alot in common with Caillou in super bratty behavior, an annoying voice and barley if not being punished at all for their bad behavior feels too convenient to be a coincidence. Almost like the creators somewhat intended it as a way to get him more exposure.
Considering Caillou and Little Brown Bear are both based on kids' books for a French speaking audience, I think I can guess which one came after the other.

I've seen people say Little Brown Bear is worse than Caillou and Horrid Henry. Caillou I wholeheartedly agree with, but Horrid Henry is only Little Brown Bear-levels of bad in the books; in the cartoon, Henry's behavior is the product of pretty much everyone around him being awful human beings, especially his own parents.
I thought has occurred to me. For both this show and Caillou, the children are the products of parents who never follow through with punishment, so the real culprit here is bad parenting. I feel like things would be much more coherent if you focused on the parents' failings because Caillou and LBB aren't bad kids by nature; they're exactly what you'd expect of a child who's lily-livered parents never told them 'no'.

I don't get how Little Brown Bear is only 2 years old. He looks more like a 4 - 5 year old IMO. Still, me and all of my homies fucking hate this show. Whatever you do, parents, distance your kids from this show, and give them Maurice Sendak's Little Bear any day.
