Based on the comments so far, there are a few things I’d like to clarify:
Throughout the game, it’s believed Cliff is after BB-28 (Lou). It is later revealed that he’s actually after Sam, who is his son. Sam was originally intended to be a BB (he was born from a still mother), but after his death, he couldn’t be a BB anymore. Amalie severed his umbilical cord, which can be seen as a large cross scar on Sam’s stomach as an adult. The reason why BB’s existed before BTs was because BB’s were originally meant to help create the Chiral Network - their ability to sense BTs was discovered later and was used as a cover story.
Lou is not Sam’s daughter. Lou is not Sam. Lou is a random BB. She is named Louise after Sam’s wife and unborn child, who were both killed in a voidout and appear in the picture he carries around. Also at the very end of the game, Sam and Lou are seen walking outside in the rain unaffected, which alludes to the fact that timefall and BTs may no longer be a thing. I hope that clears up any confusion! I’m now going to shamelessly plug myself :)

Watching Louise's resuscitation scene again leads me to believe that Amelie brought her back. You can see Louise holding Amelie's golden necklace after she starts making noise.
Wait, doesn't Sam have the cross scar after Amelie used her powers to close the hole from John's gunshot?
@Chad Thaddeus It all makes sense now. I get it. Thank you.

That part where Solid Sam fought Liquid Higgs was awesome.
i wanna replay that again
I knew I wasn the only one to make that reference
Yeah... He could have said about this reference. Not The mortal kombat one...
I know it's been a while since you made this comment, but could you explain that reference?
God I miss MGS 1-4
The whole time I was taking BB to the incinerator I was just going "no, no, they arent going to make me do this. They cant" I thought there would be a cutscene where Sam stops and doesn't put Lou in the incinerator. I ran around for probably 10 minutes trying to find a way out. Finally sunk in that I had to go to the terminal to activate the incinerator. I was devastated. Figured it was Kojima forcing me to feel sad. I was super happy when Sam takes Lou off the incinerator last minute and just lets the cufflinks burn. What a crazy experience over what was a 15 minute ordeal. Truly moving and worth the 50 hours it took me to beat the game.
I cried like a baby during the hike up there when BB's theme started playing
RevolverRez same, and i was already crying when die hardman confess to sam
Dude same, tried literally every other option under the sun before activating the incinerator
Imagine if they gave you a time limit countdown while you stood there at the incinerator
Lol yeah I sat there for 10 mins playing the harmonica trying to revive. I figured thered to a cutscene but wanted to be sure.
If Amelie is a beach and Sam is Amelie's son, does that make Sam a son of a beach?
sam is not amelies son in any way...
Pay attention people, jeez lol.
Daniel Barde he is the son of the lady who was brain dead. She was with cliff in the cutscene where they killed him
Technically Amalie and briget are the same and briget adopted Sam so u could say he is her son
@J Prez as I said "adopted"
Overall, great explanation. One thing you missed: Deadman was more important than you let on. Deadman indirectly suggested Sam could release BB and go off the grid. They hugged because Deadman ended up being one of the most supportive characters for Sam and BB.
and I think he has the biggest arc of any side chatacters
I hated Deadman at the beginning of the game but he turned out to be a real bro.
Was Deadmans motivation the fact that he got mentally connected with BB and Sam (the WW2 part)? Seems so
@@NotHorror In Deadman's chapter he talks about how he is a man without a soul, without a Beach, and he can't connect with anyone. Despite that, he's managed to connect with Sam and Lou throughout the story, eventually earning a hug for his efforts. 😢 He seems to believe in the idea of Bridges, but like everyone else in the story he has his own motivations and suspicions, and is searching for his own answers. Like SgtWicket said, he was fine as Radio Voice Science Guy at the start but he ended up being a real bro, especially during the return journey.
deadman just a token loser to fill the pc quota
I get goosebumps just thinking of how someone could come up with such a complex story and visualize it in such an amazing way. Just mindblown
someone make a video of explaining whats happening in this video.
Yeah... Cos the guy just doesn't quite explain it. Apart from the fact he said he wouldn't be able to do it much justice, and there's no replacement for actually playing the game...

When you build a bunch of zip lines to the weather man but end being caught by BT’s and have to fight two giant BT lions only for you to get stuck killed. Then resulting in a voidout and creating a massive crater and destroying a bunch of your zip lines
@@XOLOVER125 Only voidouted once. I got cocky with one BT lion. between junkdealer and chiral artist. Lost an online safe house but otherwise didn't really affect me.
Also most of my zip lines went over the BT's heads so I was safe where I put mine. Don't put them so close to the ground next time?
Though, I ponder if there'll be a next time (online) if someone plays this game again in late 2020? definitely not around 2025 though. which is the real kick in the balls about paying $60 for a game that's broken without the MP (making connections and online buildings) if you try to play it a year or so later.
I've never had a voidout. What happens? Is there really a crater? Or do you just lose whatever structure you put there?
Akmal Ibrahim When you get killed by those bosses and get brought back it creates a massive crater with a giant footprint of a BT and you can’t go inside the crater. Also the surrounding BT’s in area when you go back for a mission become more hostile and harder to kill
@@XOLOVER125 Oh, goddamn! Good thing I avoid having to fight bt bosses. I don't particularly care for the combat of this game but I love the traversing, so I always prefer going through a longer, more difficult path than going straight through a mule/bt area. Only ever fought the bosses in main missions.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Kojima and his team's work on making such realistic-looking characters? I swear, it must be some sort of milestone.
It’s mocapped..
The one thing I will give Kojima is that his production for Death Stranding is amazing. It's absolutely visually stunning even if that is due to mo-cap. But regardless the first hour of your video game shouldn't be a movie nor the next 9 following that movie be an empty, boring, wasteland. If he focused on shorter experiences with less wasted time in between cutscenes I would give him an A+.
@@TheMento98 Death Stranding isn't really a game made for everyone, which is kind of sad. Games will appeal to different audiences and Death Stranding is the kind of game that will appeal to people who are willing to sit back and relax and approach the game with caution, patience and a laid-back attitude. It's not meant to be action-packed, and for me, personally, the game doesn't suffer for it. I loved the story that Kojima tried to tell and I loved the cutscenes to death. I'm really looking forward to whatever Kojima delivers next (I've even read some tweets about him re-watching a movie that inspired him during the development of P.T.!).
@Forsaken Pumpkin Exactly.
@@yourstruly4931 And? I can motion cap anything and it would still look bad if I didn't take the time to texture it properly. Motion cap doesn't make things look realistic, the textures do.
I came back the whole map in a few minutes as I had connected all places with my Zip lines. It's a matter of connections baby.
In all fairness I walked all the way back and it felt really nice and familiar as I recognized many places and by scanning the area found myself really back tracking on my own footsteps of my original journey west. I enjoyed the way back
Yep, same. Zip lines got me the plat within 80 hours
Zip lines are life savers. I still keep mine by mantainance. After I finish the game all I have to do is to collect as much crystals as I can. By Killing BTs, THE BIG ONES, I collect a great amount.
You made strands.
But all buildings you made were destroyed.. due to constant and heavy time fall (more so around the tutorial area) so.. say wut mate? As an aside I just trucked it from.. timefall farm (the trek there kinda sucked) to port knot then bike/trucked there until I died several times against the FOUR (jesus, not nice, 4 of the lion like bt catchers? deyamn!) until I spotted someone placed a really helpful ladder that bipassed that instance location. Only to fight gigawhale. >.< seriously those cryptobiotes for Fragile should have DIED as it was at 1% health for the ENTIRE fight. small favors eh?
So, I will admit.... in the beginning, I was questioning myself if I waisted my money on this game... but since I already bought it, I told myself that I will commit and give it time. Slowly, it became easier and easier to run deliveries, I became connected to the story and characters, and before long, I would have dreams that I am in Kojima’s world... For me personally, that is a powerful impact. The story amazed me, and after finally finishing this game after taking my time (130 hrs), I can say with total honesty, it’s one of the deepest games I have ever played. I’m very thankful I experienced this story and it filled me with regret, sadness, and happiness over and over. Thank you Hideo... please get started on the next one...
Ryan Borja same! Finished today, 150 hours in.... I have never played a kojima game before, so I didn’t have a clue what I was getting myself into precisely... but you explained it perfectly.
Glad I'm not the only one who felt like this, I felt like an absolute moron and I wasted my money but after the WW2 chapter I realised I loved it more than I thought
Also about that next game..... rumour is he's going back to a certain horror game after talks with a certain gaming company
Same here :'D At first I was kind of not getting into it because well I did most of the side deliveries but than when I started the main parts - boy was I happy and full of emotions, like the stuff we always experienced in MGS ! I love that game now 😭🙌
@@NaturallyNavi Must have rushed it finished yesterday in 89hrs
The way Kojima writes father-son relationships never fails to make me cry.
you forgot a VERY important detail in the very last cutscene:
Louise actually did die in Sam's arms. It was Amelie who brought Lou back to life tho, as Lou is suddenly holding Amelie's necklace after being revived, meaning she is now a repatriate too and can roam the world (just like Sam). Amelie did that as a way of apologizing to Sam for everything she has put him through, I guess.
This is important since a) it confirms that Amelie is still watching over Sam (and now Louise),
and b) we could actually get a SEQUEL OF DEATH STRANDING playing as Grown-Up Louise!
Thats purely speculatory. The entire Presidential team had those at the end of the game. Also, Amelie's was a necklace and Lou had one without a chain, which more resembled the pins that the other characters were wearing.
Kelsey Steinman fair point, but why wasn‘t he wearing anything until he died (or didn‘t die by your saying) and only AFTER coming back?
I like this version the best, as it's the clearest explanation to run with.
There is no repatriates at the end of the game. The death stranding is over. Time fall, and all those other Death Stranding events are done
Good theory. However, how could Amelie have repatriated Louise if Amelie disconnected her beach (to prevent the Last Stranding) from everyone else's beach?
The only thing confusing me is how this came to Kojima, like how does one think of this
He thought of this by taking every single drug known to man
@@maryjoygelizon4268 i second this
Seems to me it's kind of an allegory for real things that happened in his life.
Cocaine's a hell of a drug. Don't like where your life is at? Try it.
I actually watched an interview where he explained that he got the idea from going to a museum with an exhibition showing stranded whales on a beach. It made him think about life and death. That's how it started. The man is a true visionary. No doubt about it.
Man, that Amelie sure was one huge beach!
Tell me about it

that's the type of statement they just made.
I've just finished my game. Death Stranding is a MASTERPIECE. I really feel sorry for people who didn't play it for prejudice for Sam being a delivery boy. You have NO IDEA what you are missing.
Part of me wants to check it out. Then I look at the digital and physical collection of games I bought, hated, and completely lost money on/interest in. Every so often I revisit game purgatory only to hate the titles still. The gameplay just looks terrible and slow. The story is probably fantastic. Not sure I can get past the god awful mechanics and purgatory doesn't need to grow.
@@joshsamuelson1793 For sure it is a gamble but I can tell you the world building is so incredible with such fantastic visuals and sound and the game mechanics well worked out that actually it was kinda addictive to run those packages and live the world, plan the routes and be on my own in this beautiful world . Very rarely it felt annoying or boring. Combine that with the truly genius thing that you can build the connections in the world together with other players meaning once you hook up a knot to the chiral network you can see other players constructions and they can see yours and you can improve, upgrade or build things together with these players without ever seeing them. It makes you feel one with all the other players working together to re-unite the UCA and live the story. and last but not least indeed the characters in the game that really grow on you and the truly awesome story telling. If you watched this UA-cam video you can not have the same experience as me and other players that went through the game not knowing and being surprised every time a bit of info was leaked only to get the biggest reveal in a 1 hour cutscene after wre thought we knew it all. However you will still experience a game and game play unlike any other game you ever played. games are supposed to be an art form. Unlike the mediocre bad tasting cookies the Tripple A publishers are squeezing out in a yearly cylce now a days. Playing it all safe and just copying the latest hype or last year' s game. I can tell you Death stranding is a piece of Art in every way and is exactly what this industry needs. Fresh ideas and game play.
Sadly mate sheep will be sheep, they'll run back to Fartshite and Call of Doody before they even consider this.
@@joshsamuelson1793 so watch the story on UA-cam. There are many files with all the cutscenes. If you are not gonna play, This is the best way to please yourself. It's TOTALLY WORTH. Must be round 10 hours, so get your pop corn ready.
@Ewolf5150 moron maybe you should play the game.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never played the game, but even after watching this video I feel like I could play it and have no idea what’s going on
Thats pretty much all Kojima games. That's why no one seem to agree on the full Metal Gear story. Love it or hate it, that's just how he rolls.
You gotta be kiddin me I’m sure every 3 hours in the development of the script, someone needs to say something ridiculous and the story will go on from there.
And that’s how we got this story
doesnt help when the person telling the story is telling it in such a way that its more like he's telling his grandmar so she will shut up asking why. The game does a much better job tbh.
Lol, Death Stranding like MGS games are pretty well wrapped up. There are TONS of text that expand the lore and make some things make more sense but the story itself is rather simple and pretty well told once you piece it together.
The thing is... you either get into it or you don't. If you do you'll understand every single plot point in every game Kojima made, but if you don't (like you said you didn't) then don't complain about not understanding it. It's like watching a bad summary of a movie like Memento or Predestination without actually watching the movie and judging it by it.
you're right
just give kojima a Netflix series already
Ikr
People say he doesn't know how to tell a story but the dudes got some good ideas and story telling to make a mind blowing TV series or movie. He would be perfect for films like Donnie Darko most people think that doesn't have a story or makes since but it does.
@@kyleluscombe3969 he would be great for Black Mirror type shows
I feel like he would pad things out too much for most people nowadays, but I also feel Death Stranding is the most focused Kojima has ever been on his story. Every single plot point has an answer, and most reviewers just don't give him credit for that. So many videogames don't care about resolving plot points, it's just "well I guess this character is fine", "I guess this weird sci fi stuff is normal", when in DS every single concept has an answer. Its still sci-fi, but it makes sense at 99%
What a genius! He did mgs and the weirdest coolest game of all time!
I thought the entities floating in the sky were Fragile, Heartman, Deadman, Lockne, and Die-Hardman. It didn't occur to me they were the extinction entities.
Me too. I literally stared at them before returning and was like trying to identify which was which by their poses. I did not consider the five previous EEs. On top of that, I don’t know of them being EEs would make much sense if some EEs were other types of creatures, such as mammoths
@@anarchicbean5888they are; but they are just as Sam or You; they see extinction not as the “end” but as an “opportunity”
I kind of figured that they were EE's when they appeared in the fake end. This is mostly due to how there were 5 of them, and I recalled how there was 5 previous extinctions.
I figured it was both
The 3 last scenes really hit me hard. The way Sam was pleading and desperate for Lou to live while a BT cord was near her, the souls of the other BB's that must of been "decommissioned" watching over them and Lou's little hand in Sam's at the very end honestly had me blubbering like a baby.
I think what must of struck me most about it was Sam left Fragile saying there was nothing left tethering him to the world but no, his bond with Lou gave him a reason to stay connected to the world

Next big hit: Amazon delivery simulator!
Become a movie with barely any gameplay and what is there, is designed moronically?
I plan on buying it when it's out for PC. And screw the storyline, I want to connect the country coast-to-coast with ziplines.
I hope it doesn't sell well omg we do not need the industry to become even more fetch quests and overindulgent storylines combined with game mechanics that do nothing to make a game more playable but only stand to annoy the player for "immersion".
@@Skittlespillygog Yeah, what we need from the Industry is Call of Duty 12, Assassin Creed 25 and a dozen new Battle Royale games. Let's not forget a new FIFA, new Madden, and a hundred pay-to-win mobile games. God forbid someone tries a new and original idea!
And yes, even though this one seems like a *failed* idea, it's still a new, original idea. It's not about games with "more fetch quests", it's about daring to try to create new genres. If Kojima fails too hard, it will be a while until we see a truly original new AAA game, and not a rehash. There's no risk he'll succeed massively and we see a surge of walking simulators with wonky backpack mechanics. But I wish him a moderate success, so that devs aren't scared to try new things.

The only thing I was confused about was the ending scene where Lou is revived (somehow), and we see many baby BTs in the incinerator room. If BTs and Timefall have stopped, why are these baby BTs in that scene?
Jim Tennant these are the “clean” bb’s that got freed and moved on to the afterlife, got cleared, this might be the last vision-bb was free from the goo, something might have triggered the “final” level of the deadness and showed these bbs
To me, it seemed like those were some of the BBs who were decomissioned, saying goodbye to their fellow BB (Lou/Louise) for the final time, before the connection between the afterlife, the beach, and the real world was cut, allowing the world to somewhat return to normal, hence the normal rain and normal rainbow.
AliG200 no, but the world cleared because amelie cut herself off
Polina Mean Pineapple Amelie was still watching over them hence the reason why lou came back with the quipou(I think I spelt that right) which I think makes Lou also a repatriate, very confusing.
@@boiiifudont1368 i think that because the connection between the living and dead world was severed he could live among us
not amelie's direct intrusion, just her severing herself off
Ah, Konjima: Death Impact.
Sam plays Shinji,
Mama as Misato,
Bridget/Amelie as Rei aka the final angel,
Fragile as Asuka,
and Cliff as Gendo aka daddy issues.
Complete with angels and sea of tar
13:34 Jackscepticeye connected several ziplines together so his trip was super easy and short. He probably just flew from one area to another. A good tip for the others: Always build ziplines if you can.
even if you don't build out zip lines completely to west knot, if one built out mountain knot enough, it actually wasn't too bad.
You forgot to talk about deadman really being Frankenstein’s monster. No mother, no father and no beach.
Apparently that was all a cover, as said in the what happened of Deadman email
Hes actually just an orphan who had numerous organs replaced, hence he is in essence a dead man
This is a game in the future and it's about delivering things.
Fry: hold my slurm
Aw crud
Nice one, Orange Joe :)
Nice one
I feel like you should've mentioned how great the music was throughout the game. It's definitely something that made the game 10x better in my opinion
There's a difference between narrating the script from explaining the ending and lore of the game
an explanation for the cross on Cliff and Sam's stomach:
In the hospital scene where cliff/bb sam is killed, Cliff is cradling bb sam in his arms and the bullet fired by John (Bridget really) went through bb sam's stomach as well as cliff's stomach. In the cutscene where Amelie finds the dead bb sam on his beach, she closes the gunshot wound in his stomach with a cross, which ends up being a scar. It is also revealed that Amelie brought Cliff back as her angel of death kind of thing, presumably by doing the cross motion to close the gunshot wound in his stomach. So the father and son died the same way and were brought back in the same way.
@@clayjens yeah I realised that a bit after, makes more sense lol
Something important you forgot/told wrong is that Amelie is the one that saved Lou/Louise. Not Sam.
It's the reason he/she (actually a she) has her necklace.
So the BB you carry the whole game Is sam or a girl?
@@calebsotomayor1685 Not sam. It's another BB and yes it's a girl.
@@misterhoobomaster I thought his bb was his daughter cause in that picture sam Carrie's isnt that his wife and bridget? Or am I way off base?
@@milesinwyatteandcora All of the bridge babies are partial clones of Sam, so she's technically his daughter by sharing some of his DNA.
@@reiakari partial clones? Can you explain in detail
This game made me cried manly tears. Mama's death and BB's near death were breaking me. Then Clifford. Man. I can't imagine going through that. I'm glad BB survived. Sam is a walking W. Glad he had a happy ending with his daughter.
I knew it, Sam being a BB... God I've played too many kojima games
Right, you can kind of sense what direction he is taking. Gotta love Kojima though
I was half expecting Sam and BB be the same being through time travel
@@Nohraz someone theorized that all BBs are clones of the first BB, Sam. The reason why Sam gets "flashbacks" when he connects to his BB, Lou(ise), is because thats him, so hes seeing his own past.
@@BanditLeader thats probably not it since our BB through the game is a girl, unless it's possible to change clone genders which I have no idea if we can or not
@@Pax441 genetic engineering. Just remove the Y and add in an X. Now the male sam is a female lou(ise)
"Hey you almost ran me over, wanna come work for me? :)"
the mountain section without lou was actually really easy for me. cause I spent th earlier time in the mountains setting up zip lines
I work at ups and I love to come home to role play death stranding .
Tf was he smoking when he made this game
MJL ' probably every drug you can take
What wasn’t he?
After the event with his old company. Who will stay sane afterward.
Mephedrone laced og kush, Idk..
Chiral crystals obviously...
I just finished the game. The last scenes actually made me cry...like if a game can do that, then it’s a something to be praised.
After watching this video: Oh I get it
Thirty seconds later: WTF is happening again?
so this is why my UPS deliverys are always late damn you BTs
Just finished Death Stranding last night. What a great gaming experience!
Now let’s tie this story in with MGS.
And let’s make Snake a repatriate
no
he's done enough, let him rest
the world would be better without snake
13:36 ...walk?💀I practically drove everywhere for the rest of the game, as soon as I got my first bike in the first area
How did you drive up the mountains? There were many places which were quite steep for a bike
Sam's wife kills herself when she finds out about Sam's history according to one of the interviews you read
Wow really? I only saw the interviews where she describe the start of their relationship.. the first few meetings with Sam as her psychiatrist but then falling in love and having a baby. Why would she commit suicide when she finds out about his past?
@@antivist1481 cause the plot needed it to happen so logic is thrown out of the window.
@@stefan1360 no.
@@abineetthampi638 yes.
She killed herself because she suffered from DOOMs after getting pregnant with Sam's baby. A side-effect of DOOMs is suicidal tendencies. It's really quite sad.
"now walk back" what a genius
trash game design
Actually, this is the worst idea ever - for the people who first start the game. Later on after months has passed, the new roads, bridges, support shelters and free supplies along the path will help newer players traverse faster than the first ones, haha.
@@carlweathers5714 not really, once you go back you see the bridges and roads and should just coast through and its a feeling of satisfaction and completion as everything falls into place. im sorry your brain is trash and couldnt comprehend past iq level 30
It's a universal storytelling motif. Coming back to "Home". A story cannot truly end without coming back home. And since this is a game, why not gamifying it? LOTR has it, so does Road Fury, Alice in wonderland, actually most good stories has it.
@@fortunenese1668 haha nice try. You'll tell yourself WHATEVER you have to, in order to live in denial. You filthy little apologist, twit.
Die-Hard Man is not only John, his full name is John McLane... according to Interview Files u find at game end.
Weird. The part where Sam is BB-less I rarely ran into BTs, and when I did they seemed much more manageable than when I had BB. Maybe they tweaked BT encounters during that part in a patch? I was playing on Hard.
"walk back with no equipment" except all my private lockers were stuffed 😋
I still don't really understand and it doesn't matter why or how but this game is so emotionally touching. I even cried when I ran back and came across my original first footsteps and the flashbacks I got to the moments where I struggled to cross a river and fighting my first mules. Unbelievable experience this game.
Man I just knew there was an intentional mislead whenever he saw those memories of Cliff. Also logical when you take John's age in the flashback into consideration compared to his age in the game. That being said I was fooled after we fought Cliff the last time, as Lou seemed astonished to see him and he held Lois capsule.
I identify myself as a beach
-Amelie 2019
Lol right?
Hahaha! P.c culture
Iv'e never been so confused by something explained that clearly and concisely...
anybody ever notice that when fragile goes to a beach her umbrella turns into a sailboat? that's how she can travel from beach to beach
I just finished it after 80 hours gameplay. and I have to say to me it felt like more than a game, it was an experience. and one that I will not soon forget, just brilliant. although I can see why it's not for everyone.
Indeed took my years from ps4 to ps5 to finish this game it was hard to get into it but I finally did it
Kojima made you walk back 😂 i zip lined back to mount Knox city and drove to capital Knox on the roads i built dang near by myself. That road building was well worth it when it came to traveling main cities. I had fun by carrying supplies in my truck building the roads
Interviewer: Did Timbo explain Death Stranding?
Kojima: I don't know
4:36 all beaches aren't necessarily the same. Yup, not all beaches will steal your car and drive away with your best friend.
The fact my ear was bit off in that mortal kombat style fight was well worth it 😂😂
"Beach, Please!! " -Mrs. Fake Soul (Amelie), 2019.
And let the memes commence.
26:04 Actually, Sam wasnt able to resuscitate Lou. Lou was 100% dead on this one. But she was brought back to life by Amelie hence why Lou was holding Amelie's necklace before babbling the most adorable "Here you go" I've ever heard in my life.
Incorrect: It was Sam that gave her the necklace!!!
BB herself IS Sam's daughter. He reached out to her just like he reached out to Amelie, and how Mama reached out to their dead daughter.
His connection to the the BB (Louise) reminded him of his past.
Louise's "Ka" was kept alive by Sam's Ha and Ka (as a bridge). Sam's umbilical connection (the one on his suit) kept the Ka going until the end of the game. Where he reconnected her Ha by thinking of his love for her and finally reaching her.
@@S.Madman that's not true. It is told early on that Sam s wife and his *CHILD* died in a voidout also same wife wasn t a still mother so she couldn't have made a bb and stillmothers have to be alive. The bb Sam has is a random bb he got from another corpse carrier
@@S.Madman Have you read the interview in the game? Where does it say lou/louise is Sam's baby??
Did Lou really babble "Here you go"? I honestly thought she was cutely saying "Quipu" lol.
@@alexandrocastro7772 its pure speculation...just ignore it
When BB's theme started playing during the final order, I started bawling. I had to stop playing for a minute
The struggle through the snowy mountains was probably the most interesting part for me. I wish concept was pushed even further....like making it an actual fight to survive going from point A to point B. You can't really die from the harsh environment in this game.
You obviously didn’t let your Sam sleep outside in the cold long enough. Sam can and will get frostbite and can die from it. I was shocked when I found that out. I left him in what I thought was a safe spot to rest outside, while I took a nap myself. Woke up 5 hours later to a dead sam in the seam, when I reconnected him and he woke up he was saying how cold he was, way more than usual and he was losing blood. When I found an online safe house, he rested and then a quick cut scene of his blackened toes. It was nuts. You can get it off, but it takes several hours to let it heal off.
@@j.vinton4039 Interesting, but why would i force him to stay outside and die from frosbite if i can easily avoid it? It would have been more interesting to be forced into that critical situation and not having to put myself in that situation when its easily avoidable and not one time did i feel challenged
“Really strange jog”
You left the part where Amalie heals Sam and gives him the abdominal T scar confirming he got the repatriate power from Amalie and he was raised by her
You literally didn’t explain or theorize at all, you just retold the story beat by beat.
John Miller loool right
good enough of an explanation. I'm not about to watch 80 hours of gameplay
Right
16:13 that iceman is a real thing. The oldest preserved human ever.
You completely forgot to mention how sams pregnant wife offed herself and caused a voidout, making Sam isolate himself
wow, incredible story. Riveting, to see so many tropes used in such unique ways. Reminds me of Final Fantasy with the story about spirits invading the world. But there's just so many layers and strangeness in this world. It's incredible.
Still doesn't explain the past voidouts and BTS before Sam got revived.
So the Death Stranding was fully released yet or something?
According to this video, and I didn't hear this part actually playing the game, when Bridget brings the baby back to life(Sam), it inadvertently set off the whole death stranding and BT's and void outs
Sam is the reason why voidout happen, his revival set off the balance of life and death, so sam at the end fix it by reviving Lou. It’s ying and yang and karma thing from asian perspective. And that’s why sam’s blood can counter BT.
@@rewer but doesn't the voidout in manhattan (that killed the previous president) happen before sam is revived?
@@walshyb2k9 ikr , thats what i was wondering , and what specific event caused the dead ppl to start becoming bts suddenly ? , is Ameile just a immortal entitiy which just started to exist , or did she get her EE powers assigned to her as a duty ?
As I understand: the previous voidout(s?) happened because Bridget devided into Amelie and Bridget. Because Amelie has to stay on the beach and Bridget has to be in the human world, there forms a connection between both worlds and hence the BTS exist in the human world and Voidouts happen.
PS. I excuse for any grammar issues. I'm not a native english speaker and it's hard to explain what's in my head. xD
I just finished the game and now I’m siting here crying like what next? 🥴 such an amazing game !
Deadman is only skinned like del Torro, a different person voices him. Also FFS dude, He gets visions of the future, so when he was seeing people in the sky it was the five people back at the capital that eventually pulls him back. Deadman, Heartman, Diehard, Fragile and Lockne. She even tells him that she sent him and all of the dooms carriers visions of possible futures. They appear when they come to pull him back off of his beach. Also, the hug isn't when he got over his touch thing, its when dead man touches him in the room before the speech. The hug is him admitting he has connections to people and Deadman just told him how to possibly save Lou. It's also not a fear, it physically hurts when people touch him because of his DOOMS. It's literally why he has handprints burned into him when he takes a shower. It happens when Fragile touches him in the beginning. Side note: they never explained what started the Death Stranding but voidouts were already a thing before Sam was born. John even asks cliff if she was caught in one when he meets him at the hospital.
LITERALLY A FREAKING GENIUS wAlK bAcK
Really like how you really stuck to what was known, rather than hypotheticals that you could have! So many channels out there just making stuff up!
I finally pushed myself to finish the game last night and it was a journey I will never forget. I kept delaying the inevitable conclusion...which is kind of ironic with how the end turned out. Thank you Kojima and team! Seriously, this game really impacted me emotionally like only a handful or two have in my gaming life. I really wish more people would give it a shot, the actual game play had something really addictive. Kind of like an adventure/colony management itch it scratched perfectly. Just sad that its over now!
