I think from pro14 to a pro15 it is not much of an upgrade. But, I came from a pro13 to the pro15. To me it was a huge upgrade. The usb-c port has totally changed my cable management for travel. I truly love the usb-c. The camera is amazing. The zoom is amazing. The battery life is amazing too. I am glad to see you came around. 😂🤣👍😂

although my mate runs a business repairing iphones, hes started to get the USB C ports breaking the little tab inside, if your not gentle with them expect issues long run, so not as robust as the old port. I have a 15 pro max, disappointed in battery life over my 13 pro max.
I upgraded from 13 pro max to 15pro max they literally feel the same idk what huge u difference u feel or see but only thing to me that’s different is only the usb type c

My fave feature of the 15 Pros has to be the lighter titanium frame. My kids bought the mid year green 13 Pro, and I've always disliked the weight of their phone. Having held the new Pro phones in my local Apple Store, colour me impressed. I'll definitely be upgrading to a 15 Pro next year, ... just haven't decided which one.

I am wondering if the x3 main sensor crop on the pro max is similar to the x3 on the pro since you will be cropping 45/3 which by theory should be even better than the 12mb optical zoom

@@williamallen825 I can’t speak to the quality of the photo upgrade since I had a regular 12, but for me it was a HUGE upgrade in photo quality. I’ve been taking more pics with the 15 Pro Max since the quality is so good.

The one main thing you forgot to mention about the new iPhone 15 camera is that it takes pictures in 24mega pixel versus 12mega pixel from three previous generation. This alone gives better picture quality.

Hi Patric. Thank you for the video much appreciated. I have the pro max in titanium blue I like it a lot but I hate the front camera! What’s up with that? How can I fix it I just feel like my selfie on my 13 was so much better as on 15 pro max is dark grainy and over sharpened. Please give us a full video about the front camera and how to fix it with settings
Everything looks good and bright but once I press the shutter it goes dark grainy and over sharpened
Great video Mr Rambles as always. Agree the camera on my standard 15 is a big leap on the old 12 I had. Also the USB-C is more versatile and easier with accessories! Oh and I think all guys like brown and black leather(!) 😜

Great video. Love the fact that you have to buy these for a tech channel. I have no such justification but I always end up buying them.
However, I always said it would only be in store if they had my 1tb natural titanium. I refused to pre order. Picked mine up last week.
It’s a very good camera. Log is epic. Agree with you there. But it’s not much else if you’re coming from a 14 pro.

I’m curious to know whether a full camera lens cover, one that encompasses not just the lens but also its surrounding square area, would be compatible with an Andar phone case. This query stems from the fact that the Peak Design case fails to accommodate the iPhone 15 Pro Max when it’s equipped with such a comprehensive lens cover. So, yes I waste Peak Design case and now rocking with Casetify case that fit perfectly for my use case. Understanding the fit and compatibility between these accessories is crucial for optimal protection and functionality of the device.
I've just received the Nomad Horween leather case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I'm pleased to report that it fits perfectly with the full camera lens cover. However, I've noticed that the raised lips around the top and bottom of the Nomad case are significantly less pronounced compared to the Casetify case. Consequently, in terms of drop protection, I believe the Casetify case, similar to the Mous case, offers better 'slamboy' certified due to its more thicker design in corner, ecoshock “orange” material in case of Casetify or Airoshock “green” material in case of Mous give better impact protection.
Now I can get that great leather case! So happy they changed the cut out to a button

So originally I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max and I wasn’t going to upgrade this year but I’m really unhappy with it & the battery Life alone is just horrible 😢 so I decided to do the upgrade for the iPhone 15 Pro Max one terabyte and went back and watched your video feel better about my decision. Seems like there’s some perks that I will enjoy and next spring if the 16th is better I will upgrade again but for now I’m happy with my decision, I’ll be receiving it this coming Friday, so I’m looking forward to it based on your video so thank you very much!

Hey there. As I said in the video, it's been resolved by firmware updates.
If you care about upgrading and money is always a factor then a case and screen protector is a must, I did not upgrade from my 12 pro max until this iPhone 15 pro max persuaded me, love my 12 pro max but the zoom on video was annoying that you had to stop recording to zoom in more then start again and same if zooming out, finally no longer as often take stills form it, 120hz is very noticeable smoother and been using tiny 2 tb thumb drive for log video and photos and quality is good when using on M2 pro , not camera quality but the convenience of the iPhone to take from pocket to shooting is so quick, and if people want better images then go for a used older camera as can save a fortune, I was very dubious about this phone given the money but I’m super happy with it now I have it and should get £400 plus back for selling old iPhone to lesson the expense, glad you also like yours 😎😎🤩🤩
If you try to break the phone by putting your thumbs in the center and pressing it, the case isn't going to save it - the back is glass now with the foundation frame in the middle of the phone to make replacing the glass on both sides easier.
Replacing is easier, but so is breaking it.

That depends on what you want out of it.
Pro doesn’t have max zoom.
Pro has smaller battery.
Pro max has both of these.
Phone is bigger.
Both have some processors.

Yes the camera and also the battery. I was disappointed with the battery on my 14 Pro and I travel a lot so a bigger battery is nice to have. The main reason for upgrading though is this channel. I would have held on to the 14 for another year if it wasn't for that.

I have a XR, I decided to buy the 15 plus. You don’t buy a car made of a new metal with overheating problems, this 15 pro max is a “test” device, it’s the first of it’s kind, I won’t risk more than 1k € for something that can go very very wrong. I’d rather to spend my money with a problem-safe iphone

@@Raec123it’s a pretty decent upgrade. My battery life for my iPhone 12 was capped at like 78% by the time I upgraded. So it’s nice having 100% battery again. The visual island or whatever it’s called is also pretty neat. I’m liking the upgrade.

I got the 1TB option. I am a stills photographer and when travelling, I used to lug a laptop around for editing and image backup. However, I recently went on a 5 week trip and took only my camera and the 15 Pro Max. I copied my work to the phone as backup and then edited in Lightroom Mobile.
The best phone case is a clear/transparent case.

You’re one of the few reviewers that I came across that mentions they do not use the 5x lens. Is it because of the resolution in comparison to the main sensor? The framing? Looking back would you have considered the 15 PRO instead for portability and possibly the 3x framing?
I was using the 14 Pro because of that reason. However, the battery life was very poor. I'm super content with the battery life on the 15PM, so I'd probably stick with that. The bigger screen is nice too and since it's coat weather, there's plenty of pockets for it 😅

Yep it's awesome. I've had a little taste of it from the apple watch ultra. You can make it do pretty much anything (except the dishes).
most users will complain literally every single year "it's not worth upgrade". If it's not worth upgrade just use your current phone, no point every year bark like a dog. The upgrade is for those whom are using old phone or switched from android phone. From iPhone 13 or 14 to iPhone 15 OF COURSE YOU WILL NOT feel anything special! You cannot even make a single phone so stop complaining.

You cannot downplay the heating issues thighb it only lasted for a few days. In that limited time the battery might have taken a hit with the exposure to heat and over drain. It will however show in the coming months as premature degradation of battery health.
I returned the iPhone 15 pro max and went for the iPhone 15 plus instead. I’m very happy with my decision.

- 2 hours better battery
- 256GB
Next year I plan to buy a new iPhone and switch from my iPhone 12. If they'll put the same camera specs in 16 Pro then I'll pick it over bigger model.
