The bigger battery is great but if you are a photographer, the smaller Pro and its 3x is a vastly better choice. The Max is cropping in when zooming below 5x and results are ... horrible. Most folks will use a 3x far more. The 5x is ok for showing off the 'look how far I can zoom in' but that's about it. I hate how Apple has compromised the ProMax and wished it came with the 3x.

Always choose the Pro instead of Max cause of the ugly bulky inconvenience. The large screen is just slightly bigger not satisfy enough to be trade off the convenience. The battery for me with IP 15 Pro is using whole day and still got 45-55% remain. So! Pro is really my choice!😄
Yes! A phone today is something you hold for almost every waking hour, so it’s important to have something you can live with. I place high value on portability, so size and weight matters a lot. I remember being slightly annoyed by the larger size of the 12 Pro compared to 11 Pro, so I can’t imagine being comfortable with 15 Pro Max. Battery life is not too big of a deal, because I have access to a charger pretty much everywhere throughout the day. If I’m on foot, I’m anal about having a power bank with me. I liked the bigger screen and longer battery life but ultimately decided I need the smaller size. Ps: the max is big and heavy enough that I dropped it on my face a few times. That ish hurt lol

I’ve had my 13 Pro Max for 2 years. It’s pretty bulky and a pain to handle, no doubt. Next month, I’m switching to the 15 Pro instead of the Pro Max. The Pro Max’s screen isn’t that much better for watching stuff anyway. Unlike the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which comes with a stylus and cool multitasking features, a big iPhone doesn’t offer much. The best approach is to buy an iPad Mini for media consumption and web browsing on the go/on the couch and buy the more practical sized iPhone Pro imo
I bought the 15 Pro Max but I’m thinking about returning it. I tend to still use my Xs much more bc of the smaller screen. I bought it simply for a better camera, while it’s nice I don’t know if it’s enough to keep it. Also mine gets warm pretty quickly which concerns me for the longevity of it. (I keep my phones for a while)
You fail to highlight the fact that the pro max has to zoom digitally to achieve the 3X zoom. You made it seem that the best camera experience is only available on the pro max, but that’s assuming you care about 5X. You’re trading 3X for 5X but your commentary in the video suggests that the “better” camera is the pro max. All in all, the main differences is 1) battery life, and 2) form factor. The 3X and 5X is a wash because it’s up to the user on what they prefer. Don’t spin it like the pro max camera is better when in fact it’s just different features between the two.
@@zoltanzana Yes but the way to 5x all the way from 2x is digital so up until 4.99x, you will have the Digital Zoom from 2x which is not the case with the 3x lens.
15pro vs 14pro is a pears to apples comparison, the 14pro max is completely unusable so it's very understandable to choose the 14pro, where in the case of 15pro max it's substantially more manageable, the 15pro is pretty good if you know how to manage the battery the size is super comfy and after using it exclusively you won't miss the big one, but if you're using both (which only youtubers do) you will feel it small, also about icloud, bruh it's not a necessity specially now with usbc, any cheap usbc drive works for storing whatever you want (if it's important) and the 5x camera it's 3x vs 5x which is almost unnoticeable, if the pro max had the 3x and also the 5x then that would be something to think about, you choose one you loose the other
Two years with the 13 Pro and it was time to go back to the Max with the 15. The better camera and bigger battery was enough for me. I do kinda miss how compact and light the Pro model is though.
iPhone 15 pro max battery definitely last longer since the battery is larger. I know my iPhone 15 pro was gonna be average compared to larger phones ( Pro max, Galaxy note, Galaxy S ultra, etc) but compared to Pixel 6 battery, is night and day! Do not regret the switch!
On the 15 Pro Max 5x zoom is optical but … 3x times zoom is digital. On regular Pro 3x is optical. Since regular focal length optimal for portrait is about 85 mm looks like regular one is better choice for portrait photography.
I just saw your video, I just got iPhone 15 pro max and i know iPhone 16 lineup is coming but I am not planning to upgrade again until few years, to be honest this is my first time using pro max iPhone I always have 6.1 inch display because my hands are small but after using pro max for couple of days it’s big but still comfortable to use of course with 2 hands. Has good battery life and nice screen size i am happy with my choice i don’t regret it.
I just decided to give the PM a chance this year. Had the 11 pro, 12 mini, 13 pro, and 14 pro. Also wanted to check out the 5x lens. My favorite things about this phone are the screen and battery.
Very well-articulated. Organized. Sensible. You have guided my decision- making process intelligently. Now, I am sealed on my choice. Pro max it is. Thanks man!
I hate when creators post “I was wrong” in their title, it shows that before they were just following a trend of other creators without giving the phone a month of fully testing it out. Neither. Wait for the 16 pro with 6.3 inch display and new dimensions - 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4 mm. It’s going to be slightly bigger than 15 pro’s 6.1 screen and 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.3 mm, but smaller than the 15 pro max’s 6.7 inch 159.9 x 76.7 x 8.3 mm (16 pro max is going to be even bigger with 6.9 inch screen). Therefore, the 16 pro is going to be the sweet spot..not too small, not too big.
I seldom use my phone for much media consumption, so I prefer the standard size Pro phones. Battery life is never a problem because I don’t use the phone enough for it to be a concern but I do keep a MagSafe battery pack close by just in case, I do wish the 5X camera came with the standard size 15 Pro though. Hopefully the 16 Pro comes with that feature
The Max is actually too big for putting it in the pocket. I’ve been using a 13 Mini with 256 Gigs for 3 years and it does everything I need. Never had any issues with battery and the pictures are very good all the time. And honestly a good percentage of Pro Max model users don’t even take a lot of pictures or videos.
So much talk everywhere about battery life in these devices at a time when arguably everyone is consuming way too much screen time from both a physical and mental perspective. There is no phone in the world that can’t get the “average” user through a normal day of work/play/entertainment. Debating if a phone can power up for 18 hours a day seems to be missing the whole point. Plus, most of us have multiple devices that we use throughout our day, i.e. iPhone/iPad/Macbook, allowing our phones to idle for extended periods of time throughout the day. Add to this that most of us have access to charging throughout our day, making battery life a non-issue. IMO, if your iPhone 15 Pro is not getting your through your day, perhaps rethink your addiction and make some adjustments to how much screen time you’re consuming. Your brain and your body will thank you.
I’m using iPhone 15 Pro Max, it’s actually smaller than my last phone which was Samsung. I switched from Android to IOS and I’m happy with my new phone. The battery life is pretty good as well, I charge it until 90% in the evening and the evening on the next day it’s on 50%.
In the end I chose the iPhone 15 Pro Max, after considering my daily use of the device, on the iPhone 15 Pro Max I only need to charge it once, a maximum of 2 times, on the iPhone 15 Pro I charge it 2 to 3 times, if I do it in a year Battery health has decreased greatly on iPhone 15 Pro
First of all: Great video! I subscribed! I completely agree with you: Technology is a very personal thing. I remember going from my iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6s plus. That was a big mistake! I though i would love the bigger screen (and especially because my fingers are pretty "thick" i thought that the keyboard would be bigger which would've been nice when i type messages. But boy was i wrong! It didn't help at all! So when the iPhone X came around (with finally a new design,) i was so happy that i bought that one. I think it's the perfect size! I'm now going to upgrade to the 15 Pro with 256gb. Which is more than enough for me. Having a bigger screen is nice for if you are traveling or something and you want to watch a movie, it is absolutely possible and much nicer. Also for playing a game (if you are a mobile gamer.) But for me, the portability is a much bigger factor. A big phone just can't go in your pockets as easily and it's just annoying (for me personally) to take with you everywhere.
That’s why i’m keeping my gold 13 pro max till the 17 pro max come out hopefully they change the design of the phone thats what im waiting on all these phones look the same since the 12
I'm having the same dilemma. Always have had the Pro models because I like the size and "fit" better. However the battery life and quality of photos is also important. I'm not going to upgrade until next year. If all things stay the same the decision may come down to a coin toss.
Like you I’ve always had pro models, currently 12 pro but this time I plan to step out my comfort zone and try the pro max for at least the next year and see how it goes
@@KungFuWizardOfJesusyou haven’t used the 13 pro max on iOS 15!!!! 13 pm on iOS 15 lasts 2 days for me, 15 pro max barely makes it the first day on iOS 17. Even 13 pro, that phone was getting 10-12 hours screen time
Just bought a 15 PRO after having the Samsung S21 for two years, and I must say that I'm very impressed so far. It's the first iphone I've had since iphone 5. The reason why I personally didn't go for the pro max is its size. It's just to bulky for my liking. With the 15 pro I get everything I need.
Thanks, wish I saw this before I bought the Pro 15. I would buy the max. What's deceptive on Apple's part is the 6.2 screen. Yes, that's the same measurement as the X and 11 but because of how each phone refreshes the screen is actually zoomed a little on the 15 and appears smaller.
My 15 pro max gives me 8-9hrs of screen time regularly and I’ve had it since launch. Not a single issue with mine. Battery was a big thing for me and if you’re the same as me, you won’t be disappointed.
You don’t need iCloud, at least big plans. Don’t be silly. You can do a full iPhone backup locally via iTunes or Files, manage your own data. This retains more information in the iOS backup than the iCloud counterpart, such as settings, app organisation, custom ringtones. And recently confirmed, it does not back up iPhone system caches. I have a terminal divert to Samsung T7, which is my backup for my 1TB iPhone every 1-2 weeks. You can even encrypt the drive and encrypt the backup with separate passwords.
128 gb is not enough for me anymore. Between games getting larger, the number of files or videos I want to keep handy, and the numbers of videos I shoot I need more. How much more I am not sure. But considering I want to try Apple Prores log recording a bit before investing in an external SSD for it, I am thinking more might even be needed.
lmao I never had an issue carrying my pro max. I just put it in my pocket. I don't think you need a whole backpack to put it in lmao that's kind of dramatic
You forget something about 128gb storage phones. They can't shoot In raw mode. So there is another advantage for the 14 prom max that come with 256 gb storage
battery is good in both short term and terrible in both long term that's apple's policy to force you to upgrade, their powerful processors chew the battery when its health degrades below 80% which typically happens in 2 years of average use
Still Confused after this video because my hands are small and 15 Pro is best for me but I love to do Photography and want a long battery life which comes with 15 PRO MAX
I’m in a similar boat. I want the extra battery life because of making content and editing, which also means I benefit from the longer battery. But I have small hands and the iPhone 12 Pro is already a bit big….
@@loloabq I purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max 4 days ago. so far battery is very good but I'm using phone with both hands. Single handed using is bit risky for dropping
The main thing I would like to know, is why Apple felt the need to make the camera lens array so stinking big!? I went from an 11 Pro to a 15 Pro, and it’s a huge difference! It almost makes the phone feel a bit unbalanced in the hand. The close up ability, and the portrait option within a regular photo are nice features. But most cases have big enough protrusions to protect the lens area, with exception of the OtterBox Cases, which need more. I am contemplating on keeping the 15 Pro, or trading to the 15 Pro Max, before my trial period is up. I an understand the dilemma that a lot of people face. Good Video! 👍Peace 📱
I really wish thhat reviewers would stop referring to the lenses as "3 ex" or "5 ex"! It's the multiplication factor - therefore 3 TIMES, 5 Times. Just saying "ex" means nothing - it isn't the name of the lens after all...

I have a 13PM and have had all larger size iPhones since the 6 Plus. I really wish there was a Mini but I can see going to smaller Pro from now on. Maybe I’ll wait until 16 or 17 to do so.
A friend of mine sold me a 13 mini for a price I couldn't say no to. The size is easy on my pocket but I do miss the bigger screen and the battery life is not great but it does charge super fast with the smaller battery size and I don't to more than a few hours without access to a charger so it's not a big deal

I'm having the same dilemma. Always have had the Pro models because I like the size and "fit" better. However the battery life and quality of photos is also important. I'm not going to upgrade until next year. If all things stay the same the decision may come down to a coin toss.
There are rumours that 16Pro might come with 6.3" (instead of 6.1") and a 5x telephoto camera.
Like you I’ve always had pro models, currently 12 pro but this time I plan to step out my comfort zone and try the pro max for at least the next year and see how it goes
That advice at the end is spot on 💯%
Great comparison vid. Thanks a lot
Pro max always has the best battery life, the pro models never feature long battery
Yes, except we were spoiled by the 13 series whose regular Pro model lasted all day while the Max version on almost 2 days. Those were the times
@@deenorado7233doesn’t the 15 pro max beat the 13 pro max?
@@KungFuWizardOfJesusyou haven’t used the 13 pro max on iOS 15!!!! 13 pm on iOS 15 lasts 2 days for me, 15 pro max barely makes it the first day on iOS 17. Even 13 pro, that phone was getting 10-12 hours screen time
Just bought a 15 PRO after having the Samsung S21 for two years, and I must say that I'm very impressed so far. It's the first iphone I've had since iphone 5.
The reason why I personally didn't go for the pro max is its size. It's just to bulky for my liking. With the 15 pro I get everything I need.
i love the colors of this video. really. soooo soothing.
Hey TERREN…………….. great job on the iPhone pro ,and pro max comparison video.
My 15 pro max gives me 8-9hrs of screen time regularly and I’ve had it since launch. Not a single issue with mine. Battery was a big thing for me and if you’re the same as me, you won’t be disappointed.
Do you still get the same amount of OST now after all the updates?
@@MatthewVlossak yep. Nothing has changed
How do you edit your photos?? They look amazing
Thank you for such a helpful video!
Been on the XS Max and never went back to the smaller sized phone
128 gb is not enough for me anymore. Between games getting larger, the number of files or videos I want to keep handy, and the numbers of videos I shoot I need more. How much more I am not sure. But considering I want to try Apple Prores log recording a bit before investing in an external SSD for it, I am thinking more might even be needed.
My Z Flip 4has a 6.7 inch screen and I watch a ton of videos on it. So I'm probably going to pick the iPhone 16 Pro Max as my first iphone ever
Which color do you prefer ?
I had the pro max then “downgraded” to the pro and I don’t regret it at all so much better for me personally
Using iPhone 15 pro max since a month
Great video man! Just subscribed
Debatably it’s a lot safer to save your photos locally than in a cloud
So weird. When I play this video, youtube can play it in picture in picture. But when I play other video it can't. Anyone know the reason.
Very happy to use my 15 pro max
I think they’re going here, but we don’t need an iPhone mini, we need an iPhone slim
lmao I never had an issue carrying my pro max. I just put it in my pocket. I don't think you need a whole backpack to put it in lmao that's kind of dramatic
Which should i buy? 14 PM or 15 pro?
15 Pro MAX- no doubt this time.
Watching from my iPhone 15 pro max white titanium 😁
nice! I want the blue one
You forget something about 128gb storage phones. They can't shoot In raw mode. So there is another advantage for the 14 prom max that come with 256 gb storage
Can’t u save it on iCloud
I have large hands and don’t like phones that don’t fit in pockets. I have never had a large phone. But I do want that zoom though lol
battery is good in both short term and terrible in both long term that's apple's policy to force you to upgrade, their powerful processors chew the battery when its health degrades below 80% which typically happens in 2 years of average use
PM is fine until you put a case on it. Just straight up puts it into the "now too big" category.
Nice detailed video
Thanks! :)
@@samlegend6064Any update on your choice?
Great conclusion
Very pleasing video
So I assume your primary is the 15PM
I’ve gone pro max from pro 12. I’ll never go back now. Especially since it’s lighter now.
I have the Google pixel 7pro it has the same size screen as the iPhone 15pro max I am going to switch to the 15 pro max
Thank you
Your pro max is white or natural..? I'm confused )
Natural!
@@TerrenRule wow, it looks completely like the white version when you put it in your pocket!
One has to stand crazy far to use 5x 😮
The white background hurts my eyes… I’m getting old and dying I think? Am I alone… I think it’s just me…. No one else complains 😅
Who else misses the mini series…
Here! We need a thicker designed pro mini.
Nobody
Not me because I own the 13 pro and 13 mini 😉
Good Video! 👍Peace 📱
The 15 pro max has a pretty good battery life, I had one and only charged it twice a day
I really wish thhat reviewers would stop referring to the lenses as "3 ex" or "5 ex"! It's the multiplication factor - therefore 3 TIMES, 5 Times.
Just saying "ex" means nothing - it isn't the name of the lens after all...
It obviously means something of people understand what he’s talking about. What else should we call it? Of all of the problems on the world right now this OSS what you choose to complain about?
I got the 15 Pro , the battery is just OK not great
why the 15 pro only have 2x cinematic? 13 pro&14 pro have 3x cinematic😢
The new Samsung S24 ultra
The battery isn’t good on the pro I had to go with the pro max
jumping from iphone xr to 15 pro lol
What's that like? Lol
I'm going from a 7 plus to the pro in a 15 pro in a few weeks 😅
going from a 7 32 gigs to the 15 pro in upcoming week. 😆
8 Plus to 15 Pro here. Massive upgrade
I think the keyboard is a bit small so next up i will buy pro max. Especially because of the battery
Agreed!
The regular pro is too small and the pro max is too big
I would never put an expensive device such as this in my pocket. It always goes in my bag.
Less safe in a bag than a pocket.
I thought the volume button act as photo-taking button already, so you wouldn’t need to set the action button for taking photo
That's true! My biggest gripe is specifically pressing the button to initiate the action. That press is a bit harder given the larger Pro Max size.
#imadeit. Good video!✌️
Go big or go home! :)
bro can you gave me iPhone 15 from Philippines 😢😢😢
Philippines is a very poor country
@@marvbordthey keep voting for world class plunderers and drug lords. So what can you expect.?
iPhone 15 pro models don't have 128g of storage ...it starts off at 256
First time viewer new subscriber 🙌🏽
Wrong
Only the pro max starts at 256gb
The regular pro starts at 128gb
Useless just for sosialmedia not for working
The battery on the pro is straight up trash. Period, end of story. Now that they fixed the pro max with better ergonomics by slightly curving the sides and the lighter titanium, its a no brainer
MKBSD
iCloud is a scam. Get an external ssd
Or get at least a 512GB model.
