Kenaki, if qualified you can join at age 17 with parental consent during your junior year in high school as part of The Air Force Softbook Program and enter the Delayed Entry Program (DEP), but you will not go to Basic Military Training (BMT) until after you graduate high school.

Space Force is an excellent mandate to grow into for the future. Yet at some point in time, the World needs an official but general disclosure, that we are not alone in the Universe.

But one of the most intriguing is hiding right out in the open. Up until 1947 we knew about something called the crystal diode radio. Then there was the "discovery" of the transistor in 1948.
Suddenly we had developed integrated circuits, fiber optics, satellites, powerful computers, networks, much more powerful batteries, advanced medical devices, advances into subatomic particle physics.
The list goes on but let's be sure we throw in Higgs particles and fields.
Connected to Extraterrestrial Entities we get some clues to riding the wave of the expansion of space itself. We finally found faster than light travel. Still work in progress I should add.

I used to live about 1/2 hr. drive from N . A . S . A Fla . & I got to see 3 day time shots with the Shuttles & 2 at night , about 5 miles away - 1 from about 65 miles away as well . " AWESOME " . What got me was from the time you see the candles light up , the time it took till you could feel it pound on your body . Unreal + seeing the water wave coming at you as well . 📡 🚀

I scored a 50 on my asvab and didn't get any cyber careers I'm not settling for less ill go into college and use my scholarship for computer science and study even harder for the asvab. I will be a guardian.

Our son just joined the US Space Force. He leaves May 2nd for Basic Training. We are very proud of him. If I were young an able I know it would of been my choice as well. ALWAYS ABOVE!

I can only speculate about the requirements of this military branch. The first requirement for any military in space ( Low Earth Orbit to The farthest reaches of the Solar System and Beyond) is making access to this environment affordable and economical for all parties investing in Space with the establishment of research and if possible militarily enforcement of International treaty obligations as agreed by people on Earth and when established, bases and colonies out in Space.
Salaam Mr Ascencio I am profoundly happy to see such a promising young man begin his career at such an epic time in history. I pray to Allah that you are successful in your chosen task. I was born in 1969 at the very beginning of the space race & was inspired as a young child to study the Human migration into the realm of the orbits. don't let us down climb & open the way for the rest of us. thank you.

1) If you're currently in the AFDEP and are awaiting an AFSC, but have an interest in the Space Force (and your recruiter does know), how long before you learn if you're an Airman or a Guardian?
2) On the Space Force site, there are six bases listed. Are those the only US bases we can be stationed at or can we be stationed at any base in the US?

I would love to join to the U.S. Space Force, but I have so many things occupying my mind at the moment. Any suggestions on how I can overcome this constant overwhelming feeling?
Take one step at a time! Just take small incremental steps, and you will eventually get the experience and find the confidence you need to reach your dreams. All things begin from a point in time and one's dreams are no different. Prioritize your goals and go ahead and do them one by one. And most importantly believe in yourself and be confident that you are already who you were searching for. The only thing you need is to do what you are here to do in life. The Creator will be helping you to reach your goals. Have discipline in your life and continue to improve on a daily basis in whatever you do. All the best.

But the best thing to do is to do the most important and relevant things first and then do the others that are secondary in importance. That gives one the confidence to be more effective day by day. as a upcoming junior into 21-22(currently 15), how should i look into joining the space force or air force? and should i take certain classes such as computer science or physics to have prior knowledge?
While you are still too young to enlist into the Air Force, it is never too early to start preparing. There are a few things you can do now to prepare for once you reach the required age. First study hard and graduate from high school. Get the best grades you can in all subjects especially English, Math and Science. This will help you improve your score on the ASVAB test which is required for enlistment. Say no to drugs and get an early start on physical conditioning are important steps in the right direction. And stay out of trouble. Law violations can delay and, in some cases, will disqualify you from joining the Air Force and taking advantage of the opportunities available. Starting early and being prepared are your best shot. Stay in contact with your Guidance Counselor and maybe we will see you in a few years.

Us marine corps enlisted us army officer. I’m out now though. I think it would be so cool to look down at my name tag and have it say US Space Force. That gives me goose bumps.

Having personnel is great but where's the manned space-faring vehicles? Spaceforce is like the navy without any seagoing ships. Where's the spacebattleship fleet? Where's the spacefighters and their spacecarriers?
The Space Force doesn't do any of that. They don't fly spaceships. 99.9% of them will fly desks and stare at a computer screen all day.

How many times can you take the asvab
After you take your initial ASVAB, you must wait one calendar month to retake the test. You must wait an additional calendar month to retest a second time. After that, you must wait six calendar months to retake the ASVAB. Your scores may be used for enlistment for up to two years from the date of testing.

We graduated high school the same year. I just decided to go to school for engineering, now Im trying to join as officer.
SourStrawberrys, to be eligible to apply for Officer Training School (OTS) one must be a US citizen, have ANY baccalaureate degree or be within 365 days of graduating (a senior), you must have earned a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Officer Training School (OTS) is a selection process. Just applying does not guarantee being selected. OTS is very competitive.
Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS) has cancelled the 21OT01 (June) rated and non-rated board. We have no other Officer Training School (OTS) selection boards scheduled for the rest of this fiscal year (until October). If qualified you could join now as Enlisted with advanced rank of E-3 and after at least 1 year on active duty at your base. You may then apply for the next Officer Training School (OTS) selection board that fiscal year.
Otherwise, you may contact a Line Officer recruiter this fall for Officer Training School (OTS) information.

@@USAirForceRecruiting I know, I have been going through the application process since September. I have no interest in joining as Enlisted in hopes that I would "possibly" get in as an officer after being enlisted for a year, as there is also the possibility of being stuck as an enlisted. I would be better off just reapplying as commissioning officer later on like everyone else. I was told by my recruiter that all the other branches board are canceled (including the non-rated Airforce position I was applying for) but the Space Force is still recruiting for STEM officers. Is that correct?
The Space Force application cut off was 14 May (2 weeks ago).
21OTCAD (Critical Accessions Degree) boards are based on Air Force needs and always subject to change. These boards are monthly until Air Force Requirements are met. Estimated OTS Start Date if selected will be sometime between Summer 2021 to early 2022.
We do not have FY fiscal year application schedule yet.

Unfortunately, at this time, Active duty officers and enlisted personnel (Colonels and below) from other Uniformed Services are eligible for transfer to the Space Force.

David, You must live in the United States or an area that has an Air Force recruiter. Enlistment into the U.S. Air Force by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a U.S. Citizenship or non US citizens must have an Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S) Registration Card (INS Form I-551 -- Commonly known as a "Green Card". The green card must be a 10 year green card. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 42 years old, must speak, read and write English fluently to apply to join the Air Force. The Air Force does not bring applicants to the United States to join. You must get to the United States legally on your own and complete all immigration processing to obtain your Green Card on your own. The Air Force does not help.
