- The three particles 的、得、地 are some of the most difficult particles in Chinese. Even some native Chinese mess them up. Not only because they have the same pronunciation but also they have completely usage. 沉睡 / 深深
We wouldn’t use 深 to describe how well a person sleeps. 深 is more for the depth or deep feelings
