  • Tips for picking up stitches in Entrelac knitting.
    Time stamps for individual topics:
    0:00
1:18 One half versus a whole selvedge stitch
    3:30 Right side pick ups
    7:46 Wrong side pickups
One more item I forgot to mention - it is better to NOT slip the end stitches of each block. Slipping sts creates a definite pickup line for your edge, but it also makes the tension uneven along the edge. For any seaming, it is much better to just work every stitch at the selvedge and not slip the sts at the edge. (This holds true for sock heel flaps too!)

Stumbled upon this tonight, and it prompted me to check my L3 entrelac swatch (as yet unsubmitted)... I'm going to do it over! Thank you, Heather!

I’m following your sample and am at the end of row 3, as there are no stitches left how do I make a left triangle.

I'm not sure which sample you mean? This video is just demonstrating how to pick up the stitches from RS and WS, not how to work entrelac as a whole.
The side triangles are made with increases on one side, or with picked up stitches and decreases on the other. Usually the left side triangles are made with picked up stitches and decreases (but not always.)

If your pattern has you slip stitches at the edges, then yes you will just have the number of stitches to pick up that need picking up. I prefer to not slip stitches so that I can choose where to pick up my stitches, so in that case you would need to skip some spots.
