0:45 I would be surprised if any classroom still has a Bell & Howell Film-O-Sound projector. They produced a larger, higher resolution image than the VHS machine, but the films and the lamps were costly and some teachers never acquired the knack for threading them.
My fundraiser rule: I only buy from the first student to ask... As soon as they hand out the catalogs I have had them sprint down the hall to my room screaming "Mr. Ross! Buy MY WrApPiNg PAPER!!!" The running is ok, as I count it as a P.E. credit. On short months, they never can figure out who got to me first... who indeed?

I mean I get it's mostly in good humor but is the pay really that bad? My area starts teachers off at 45K and many climb that into the 60K+ bracket well before retirement. On the last couple of years of my secondary education degree plan and I am hyped to get in the classroom. I get it won't be a walk in the park but my job before this was prison guard so I think overall my stress levels won't be a problem lol. Again though I get these clips are in good fun and I hope that this isn't the reality for many. Teaching is the highest calling in my opinion, without education society won't continue it's just a fact. I'm proud of all of you who work in this vital field.
Depends on the state and where you live. Some areas have good unions and a healthy tax base others are the opposite (or with no unions at all). Be advised, you will li e outside the area your wealthiest students occupy no matter how much you work,even if the pay is good because if you want to have kids it will still cost too much to live in town with the business owners and computer engineers.
@@katydid5088 I guess I'm lucky then, after crunching the numbers of my future salary my wife and I will be able to buy a house with 60% down in just 3 years. That's not including putting saving aside for our Roths and stock portfolios. Granted we won't be taking many vacations probably just 1 a year but after those initial 3 years are over the seeds are planted for a pleasant retirement in the next 25/30yrs. It's all just a numbers game so long as you can make X per month you can get the ball rolling for Y and Z.
