Excellent video. Just started using this app for sketchtoing (I'm a beginner). Very convenient that you can change the size , opacity and smoothness simply by sliding left and right. That's a great tip.
I use concepts on Samsung tab S7. My suggestion is that they just need to make it so you can save the the file on on your home screen as a widget for for quick access. This would make it a much more functional note taking app

If you intend on using Concepts for journaling / note taking you're going to run into vector-based issues with erasing. In order to get around that issue, you should be using the slice tool to erase things. If you use the eraser to erase things all of the vector data goes into some magical hole that will appear when you use the selection tool.
@teohontech7141 Yeah, if you write a bunch of notes, then erase them many times and write over the same spot - if you used the eraser tool it will still bring all of that to any selection you make with the lasso. There’s effectively no equivalent of a stroke removal because it’s a vector program. Slice does the trick though if you haven’t already went down the eraser tool rabbit hole
My handwriting is ugly and that causes me anxiety, I was practicing series and the Sigma didn't turn out pretty for me, that's why I stopped studying that day 😭😭😭
@@thequarrymen58 i found my penmanship is better on the tablet than it is on pen and paper lol but ya my sigma looks like a six most days haha doesnt help that our stats prof is super fast during lectures!
Hi. I made a ONE-time purchase only. I'm a student and I can't afford to make a monthly nor yearly subscription. I mainly want to use concepts for note taking in school coz I love the infinite canvas. However, I don't have the highlighter and other tools that you have. Would you please give me ideas, tips, video tutorials on how I would be able to use the features for NOTE TAKING that is available for the one time purchase only. Thank you

Im worried that if I finish school I will lose my data. I will look into it if I could create a free account that is not linked to my school account. Hope you will create more video tutorials for concepts regarding NOTE TAKING especially for NURSING students coz we have lots of diagrams to do. By the way, the device that I'm using is Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. Im also utilizing the samsung note that comes with it but it is not an infinite canvas that is why I got hooked with concepts.

I have a problem in this app, when I have a lot of paintings or notes and then when I move canvas around it is very laggy. I also have tab S7+. Do u know what might have be a problem?
One reason I can think of is there's too much detail on the canvas, e.g. photos, textures (from brushes). See if you can put some elements on different layers and turn those layers invisible and move around to check the lag again.
Great video. I'm wondering if you can export the illustration as SVG and then continuing it on Illustrator? It seems that this extension is not useful in Concepts
The SVG export will expand all the lines and styles into shapes. If you draw a simple line in Concepts which is probably made up or a few bezier points, the SVG will expand that into a shape of the line with countless bezier curve. It’s not that straightforward to edit the SVG in AI
Use the arrow tool, in the selection options make sure you can select across layers and select locked (and unlocked) objects, use Ctrl + A to select all, Ctrl + X to cut, then Ctrl + V to paste. All elements on the canvas would be cut and pasted into visible canvas area.

Concepts does not sync to Microsoft Onedrive currently. Anyway, just use Google Drive. Concept files are very small in size. My files never exceed 2MB each. Many are just under 1MB.
There's no way to lock the canvas location because you'll need to zoom and pan. How else is the tablet going to know when you touch, it means pan or not to pan? Possible settings you can change is to set two-finger to pan canvas. Remove rotation and zoom.
i had the same problem, wich has more to do with my device (surface). I use the finger gloves from my grafik tablet and it not only feels better it enables the problem for me. try it, those are cheap to buy or super easy to make ( 5 mins with sawing machine and 15 min without ). other things like normal thin gloves or fabric warped around your hand to the same trick, but don't feel as good
I think you can take quick notes on it but it lacks features like dictation which Makes life so easy. Nevertheless it was a great video, thank you for the content. Learnt how to use the Fill brush
Can the Concepts app zoom in as much as an app like Endless Paper? Perhaps I have the settings wrong but it only seems to be able to zoom in about 1600% max. I want to be able to zoom in much more than that- here’s an example from Endless Paper. Can Concepts do something like this? Most times you can just use the selection tool to select and delete. The slice too works better for trimming stray lines or lines that are too long

this app is super helpful for maths class! It actually motivates me to study when using the blueprint background!

How to come back to previous writing place as I got lost in the infinity canvas in android help me out.

Go into settings and set the finger to move canvas instead of use active tool.

Great app until you try to export to a PDF to view in other devices and it constantly crashes your iPad Pro.
Yeah, export options do not work that well, not just for PDFs unfortunately.

Concepts can import some text files. Not sure which text files. Anyway, just download the app for free and try.
