" The screws are exposed " Already the best mouse ever. How we still tolerate having to ruin your mouse to open it is baffling to me.
removing the skates is far from ruining a mouse lmao
@@TurboZarya Are mouse skates essential in the use of a mouse?
@@TurboZaryayes. If you buy a new mouse and, by default, you're doing a basic mod like changing switches, you need a new pair of skates. If you don't have an extra pair at hand, that's an *unusable mouse.
What
@@eglorious-yt yes, but mice often come with spare skates. there's also universal "dot" skates which I have ~40 of and use on all my mice.
I love that some of the smaller companies are making innovations in the gaming mouse market. Bigger companies need to take note.
this mouse quickly became my main. every other mouse has gone in the box. highly recommended
Nty
Same here. The clicks just feel amazing, and I love not having to worry about charging it.
@@PatientZERO100 Right, I can run it at 8k without charging it every two hours. The switches feel faster than opticals with *much* better tactility
I was using a Viper 8khz and was always a fan of the Zowie shape mice, decided to pull the trigger on the OP1 8k and have loved every minute of using it. The fact that you can swap out switches and even replace the cable with exposed screws sold me.
Same here, but I changed simply because I smashed the Viper 8K to bits after a long road of frustration... its construction was gross creaking plastic, once it started creaking it started to annoy me as hell.
Funny thing was that the scroll wheel double clicked straight out of the box, but started clicking normally after smashing it about for a few times lol
Anyways I've binned that POS.
This OP1 8K is nicely solid despite being lightweight and has some nice switches to boot!
Highly recommended, especially for any custom keyboard enthusiast who likes to experiment with switches.
@@QoraxAudio yeah my Viper started doing the same, it got super creaky all of a sudden and nothing that I could do would fix it.
@@eyb0ss Yeah that's cheap construction... I really felt ripped off by Razer, because IMO a decent construction is so basic that it should be fine on any >70 bucks mouse.
Unfortunately, I had the very same type of creaking happening with a Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum I had before the Viper... also smashed that one eventually lol
It looks like this OP1 won't start creaking since the top part is made out of 1 piece, so that'll last a lot longer in my hands!
The wire on both my Viper and Chaos Spectrum was stiffly braided, which made placement of the bungee very finicky... this one is nicely flexible, another BIG improvement!
@@eyb0ss I had 8k for like 1yr and it broke after one month (scroll, right click)
Im kind of "in love" with your reviews on the PC M&K youtube space. you're weird, knowledgeable and with a bizarre sense of humor. Do not change!.
Goated mouse, I can't stop using mine. Bought it as soon as it was avaliable in Australia, bought the hotswap pcb, GM 4.0s (my personal favourite switches), Jade dot skates, PXP grips and it's going to be my mouse until they make a wireless one that doesn't have optical switches.
This mouse is really interesting. It's not my personal favorite shape though. I would love to see Endgame do the same thing with an EC ergo shape. The repairability really does make this an endgame mouse. Wow.
Thanks for making this! Been looking at this mouse for a while, finally gonna pull the trigger
All mice should be made this way, accept nothing less. Well played Endgame this time.
XM2w 4K and OP1w 4K coming out in July will you be reviewing them too?
Had mine a little over a month and I have no complaints. It's amazing.
This is my favourite mouse of this year so far as I have small hands, so the shape is just excellent for me. The only "downside" would be the cable but as I have a bungee I legit don't feel it at all and not having to worry about my battery draining in five seconds when constantly running 8khz is amazing ngl. That was what was annoying me on my previous wireless mice as I would just use them on 1khz because they would drain too quickly and the upside never seemed worth it to me. Coating is top notch, most responsive mouse ever and being able to put any mechanical switch on is awesome, considering I dislike how optical switches feel.
Love your reviews, informative with a perfect amount of comedy 🔥 Keep it up!
Its a great mouse with the best buttons ever,
but if you've got large hands like mine forget it the thing is tiny and narrow as hell.
If they ever release a larger one i'll be all over it.
Do you like the XM1 shape? :) XM2 8k is releasing really soon. Also the wireless XM2w 4k will have the same switches.
3950 op18k coming soon along with the xm8k and new xm2w4k and op1w4k end game gear is absolutely cooking this year
Funny thing is I bought a OP1we a few weeks before this mouse dropped and I have FOMO over this mouse despite the OP1we being nearly identical in every way
I have this and I love it! It took a day or two to get used to how small it is, my fingers were sore on day 1. However I love everything about the mouse now that I’ve used it for a while 😁
Battery drains and wireless interference is one of the reasons I'm interested in giving up on the wireless DAV3 and go with the wired, also better coating. I've already tried the OP1 8k and unfortunately the shape wasn't for me.
@Pitt0212 20x10, something as big as a DAV3, G703 or EC-CW2 is a good fit for me
Really wish EGG did a non-claw shape
All of this sounds amazing, but the width difference just kilks it for me entirely
im also on the lookout of a new mouse but i need something bigger i tried the gpx shape and oh boy i cant hold that potato. Kinda on the fence of getting the dav3
Is there no ergo shape from EGG? Im rocking Xlite V3 mini right now, its pretty good, but still to high in my opinion. I dont want a ergo mouse that force me into palm grip, possible with the xlite mini but still not my endgame :D
I dont know of any ergo shapes from them sad tho since being able to Open the Mouse without removing the Skates is fucking awesome
please also try to do a review on VXE R1 SE+ or the Pro versions of it.
I have 1 important question❓
Do you recommend the ,,,hyperx pulsefire haste 2 core wireless,,, for a midrange gamingmouse for really cheap???
yes
Thanks for answering it will be my choice
i have been maining this mouse ever since i got it. i was using the op1we before. honestly i think the xm2 8k would be a better fit for my handsize, so i'll probably move to that afterwards.
I have OP1 Wired (Not an RGB, Not an 8k) because I am on budget, is it worth it?
yes. you still get the switch swapping as well!
Only difference is the click latency and switch compatibilities.
cool mouse but I really can't with wired mouses
just going to wait for the wireless
Bought it because of your review. Loving it so far. The coating feels amazing, size is also perfect. Might buy a bungee later for it.
some of these features are cool but they don't offset the fact it's not wireless for me.
you can change the mid and side buttons settings to (2). it'll feel flexi
I didn't notice this the first time. This is a game changer. These are frequently becoming what wears out first on mice for me now as they're usually an after thought and I use them as something that's held down often, not just clicked, so an unintentional release causes issues. I wonder if they'll consider making alternative shaped shells. Fully customization would be amazing
There's no point in wireless mice in a fixed gaming desktop setup.
Wireless mice have been introduced for portability, to be used along with a laptop.
Good that more people are starting to look past that marketing crap.
And if you "feel the wire", you have a mouse with a bad wire or you're not using a bungee correctly.
I just got one yesterday, along with a pack of various switches and 100% PTFE feet.
Very nice lightweight mouse and nicely basic programming software.
My only two gripes with it is that you can't program multiple profiles and no multi-key macros.
Before I got a wireless mouse, I had 2x glorious O's, ducky feather and lastly xtrfy m4. ALL 4 WIRED. They all started having the exactly the same problem with the cable disconnecting within the first year. I don't know if it's because i didn't use bungee, but it was driving me insane. Then I discovered your channel and bought a darmoshark m3. It's only half a year now, but the hassle it eliminated with having to be mindful of the cable's positioning all the time is already worth it. It h That being said, 84$ for a wired mouse is ridiculous to me. I am thankful for your reviews of lesser known and cheaper brands as I would never buy a logitech gpro or anything similarly priced.
Best mouse hands down for me anyway. Lightweight, great shape, top sensor and best feet. The cable is there but you don’t feel it when playing games
my mouse stops wokring sometimes either in game or just when im in my main screen. i have to unplug it and plug it back. what do i doooooo
I own this as well as the Sora v2. The Sora is just better 😶 lighter wireless better shape and a better sensor. You could run it wired and have similar click latency as the OP1 8k
I can't wait the xm2w 4k and op1w 4k...own an op18k, truly a high-quality mouse with amazing features!
I got to try this mouse and I have to agree, it's too narrow and small for some grip types. Everything else it is indeed quite good. Now Endgame Gear just needs to make a wireless ergo shape and have a proper scroll wheel that doesn't jump up and down when you scroll like on the XM2we and we're Gucci.
It's an average shaped mouse with some nice features.
The cable is good for stock but not as flexible and thin as an aftermarket paracord. The skates are okay but not as good as aftermarket skates. Some people rave about the surface but I still prefer grip tape on mine. Polling above 1k would make zero difference to your gaming performance and sensors have been flawless for years. In the end the only really great feature is its software and hot swap switches.
Can you please review VXE R1 PRO and Zaopin z2 4k?
Can't wait for XM2 8K
But still now maining OP1 8K. Really great mouse
Its a genius design!
Too small. I played with the Viper Mini just fine and this was too narrow. Fantastic mouse except for the size.
I wish they made lefty mice, I have one of their older mice that a friend gave me and it's really nice to use except the buttons are in the perfect spot to interfere with using it left handed.
@@nadtz
It's ambidextrous, just that those side buttons might get in the way.
@@benjaminzarkhin1293 Yes, I said that and it makes the mouse not very usable for a lefty. I have a pulsar X2A that is properly ambi (you can swap the buttons to either side of the mouse), I wish there were more like it.
Sadly they don't export it to Brazil, I've been wanting to try these for a long time now
which switch should i buy for my op1 8k if i want it for gaming and want the least force possible to press?
i want my beard to graze yours and i dont even have a beard
i think i want one. thanks for the review
i cant decide between lamzu maya fnc x 8k, sora v2 or the german engineering wire legend OP18K. i am german and my last mouse was wire . SO i think i answered it formyself
I really want to try this but the shape seems way too small for me and idk why it takes ages for them to release xm2 shape of this
XM2 8k is releasing at the end of this month or at the latest next month. So not far away anymore.
the GX speed mode was giving me problems so I took mine back for now. When the xm2 8k comes I might give it another try and see if they've perfected the implementation
Basically what would happen is I would click and it would either sustain that click even after being released, or refuse to accept any new clicks for a second or two. It would happen once every 2 or so hours of game time (approximately anyway), and it was with the latest firmware and with otherwise stock settings (also tried slam click filter on and off, didnt change)
There's a rather new 1.16 firmware on their Discord now if you still have the mouse. Should fix the GX modes.
Asus has had hot swap mouse switches including 5 pin omron opticals (g502x)for years and 8k polling. Chakram x wireless.
hand size was funny
please try the Vaxee Oryza mouse bungee with the op1 8k
Btw WL Mouse software takes up 1.7 MB of memory space
I've been really wanting a new mouse since that new Logitech Lamparray sh*t f*cks up my pc. I hate how it's such a poorly documented thing and everything I find about it is "It showed up in a Windows/Logi Ghub update one day and randomly crashes in the background/triggers Valorant anti-cheat"
The most info I've gotten about it came from Microsoft AI. Apparently it's some collab with Microsoft and Logitech or something. If you look up "Dynamic lighting" in the windows menu you can find the settings for it. You can disable it there but it will still run in the background for some dumb*ss reason. I found files for it in System32 and can't get rid of it for that reason.. I hate whoever made this bloatware..
It’s a good mouse for sure but the wire is still too noticeable for me. Looking forward to them shipping wireless
Try it. Get a bungee and try a decent wired mouse. There are good and bad cables on mice, and Endgame Gear have been praised for their lightweight paracord.
@@benjaminzarkhin1293 I did and returned it.
Hotswap switches is neat. Wired, and the size and ambi shape is a pass. Performance I honestly couldn't care less at this point, the difference between most top spec mice has been imperceptible for a while now.
That's pretty dang cool what they do with the hot swap feature. Wish more mice companies did the same
Can u compare this to the NZXT Lift 2, for around 50 bucks it also has 8k polling, is only wired, lightweight and u get the point. It basically seems to be a cheaper version of the OP1
theyre releasing xm2w 4k and 8k after cancelling the xm2w wireless confirmed 😅
man theres no way in hell im using a wired mouse again
I can see that but gah daum when I went from wireless and tried op1 8k it's pretty dam good that I ditched the wireless mouse
wow, hot swappable
3:25 why did it take so many years for someone to make these ffs
I just bought sora v2 hope i havent messed up
Don't worry, they are both great mice
@@whoisAPT38
Appreciate it, the timing of this vid jumpscared me
It's good too. And a bit wider/larger feeling.
@@lepari9986 Speaking of larger 'm switching from a razer deathadder chroma lol, it's way taller and doesn't allow me to use claw grip in the best way. Not to mention 100 grams so micro-adjustments take so much effort
@balladin9200 haha yeah that one is way too big for me. But for palm it can be nice. XM2 8k is releasing soon and XM2w 4k so those are nice options for bigger handed claw grippers.
Just my type of humour 10/10
But NOPE to wired mice in 2024 no matter how good they are. Cant go back to it
2:24 clearly its pronouned HeNeCiHuKe
Wow and swappable 😢with a 17$ price for the universal kit 😅 company's need to Make this universal
You must be crazy to ask 80$ for a cabled mouse in 2024, adding the faster input in software is such a simple upgrade that will come to other options as soon as some people talk about it

Idc how well laid out or designed a mouse is even if this one looks amazing, but for no money in the world am I going back to a wired mouse.
It's too small, otherwise a great mouse.

Wired best for me? Lol
Nice mouse but its wired
Try it with a bungee, it's genuinely good.
What is the battery life of this mouse?
its wired, so infinite
honestly, i didnt want to include this in the review, but it's awful! as soon as I unplugged the mouse after charging it for like a week it stopped working!!!! couldn't believe it.
2 hours
@@DiamondLobbyReviews same, I cut off the cable with a pair of scissors and it just didnt want to start after that... horrible product.
it can be 19000000000hz, if u play whit a wirless mice 2 weeks you can`t go back.

$75 and 50 grams for a wired mouse in 2024? No thanks!

@@MekaniQ Hey it's not that it's heavy or particularity expensive, but it's just that you can get a lighter wireless mouse with the same features for the same price. This just doesn't seem to stack up to the competition.
@@whoaitstiger that's totally fair :)
I'll take "I know nothing about what I am talking about" for 100.
@@michaelchoi5247 So tell me, what amazing features am I missing out on that a comparable wireless mouse for the same price is lacking, other than some extra weight?
if you can feel the 8khz please tell me cause everyone who tries it, cannot. you are dickriding some specs that you dont understand. it is cabled mouse, do not praise this like it is something special.
Wireless high polling mice usually fluctuate wildly between their advertised high polling rate and the basic 1000hz polling rate, and since this is a wired mouse (and the fact Endgame Gear are competent developers) this mouse will always stay at 8khz polling rate. Other more technical reviewers verified this.
@@benjaminzarkhin1293 no it will not always stay on 8khz, it will be able to do 8khz when flicking and moving the curser wildly on the screen, but it will not always run 8khz.
@@DRFunny-nh4mg
Of course, but if input is received it'll be a stable 8khz, unlike wireless high polling rate.
@@benjaminzarkhin1293 there is no difference in wireless and wired, except most wireless run 4khz and not 8khz. but there is no difference in the end, except if you got a 6 - 800 hz monitor.
