The insect meter below your health bar has to do with buffs you can give yourself by using your insect attacks....as the 1 2 and 3 diamonds are filled with different colours, you get different buffs depending on the colour combo if I remember correctly......I think it may have had something to do with what part of the monster you hit with the insect but don't quote me on that, it's been a while since I used insect Glaive and MH rise probably changed some things about it too.
I remember looking at the insects you can equip on the glaive and both of them gave health as a boost (I am not sure if that is what it meant). The only difference was the damage type they dealt so I chose the one that did strike type damage since it is one of the best damage type in souls games LMAO (and it is the best damage type in Dark Souls 2 due to everything wearing armor in that game LMAO).
From what I have played so far (I recorded 4 episodes this Sunday) the grab system of world is not present in this game......... which probably means I chose the wrong weapon LMAO but I am gonna stick to it for now anyway.
Wow. That's kind of crazy that you can use monsters to battle other monsters!

@PoisonousFlame-2001 if they are strike type, in theory they should be able to dizzy the monster if you hit them enough times in the head with it
I guess I don't understand how mounting works in this game.....clearly there is more to it than just hitting the monster with midair attacks now.
