I've also made an update video on Gyeon Wetcoat talking about the durability and my experience using the product for a little while. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/Ma8rK4U_fFw/v-deo.html
How long this product will last. How often I need to apply to the car? Do I have to do anything prior? Eg using coating. Or wax. Or I just apply it direct in the clean wet car? It will last 2 3 4 months? Please let me know the appriate application and the appropriate procedure please! Thanks.
I just started using this product and am absolutely blown away by how well it works and it's durability. I bought their Bathe+ wash and use this all the time now.
I use this exact method. Wetcoat makes a great topper, it's so quick to use. I find that spreading it around then washing off gives much better coverage! Great vid as always.
You are so right! I used it for the first time this weekend, the sun came out and it dried really quickly. In some areas I can see where it dried. I'll always be spreading by hand if I use it again, I'll also use less product. Good video, thank you
I use a similar method by spreading with a microfibre cloth rather than a mitt but does the same thing. You use so much less product this way which is always a good thing!
Wash mitt method seems the best method. I’ll be doing it this way when I get some. I’ve been using Koch Chemie PW and I’m impressed with that but I’m going to give the Wet Coat a go.
I love your application method! Not only does it save product, but it also ensures a more even spread. The end result is that you have more money in your pockets and a glossier car!
Great video, explanation on point👍 I use menzerna power lock after a correction, then top it with collinite 845, being a great wax I use the wet coat to give it a even stronger bond. And also I tried your technique but I use a microfibre cloth to spread it out. I wet each panel individually, then dry it with another microfibre I don't hose it off, I know it takes longer but wow it gives a stronger bind. Cheers for the vid.
I like Wetcoat, VP Valeting Beadz & Car Chem Hydroseal. But unless it’s a perfectly still day the product goes everywhere except onto the car, I use them through a foam cannon, 25-30ml to 400ml of water with absolutely no issues.I never use them on hot/ warm panels & always dry the glass off immediately. So easy , more controlled and far more even application.
Hey, can u please make a video of exterior cleaning ,daily driver do lots of mile what should wash with and what protection after wash every week. Thanks
I’ve got quite a few videos on my channel like that, I’ve got a playlist on my channel called full car cleaning which has most of them 😊 I’ve also got a video series on my current favourite cleaning products which should show up if you search “current favourites” on my channel
I use a high quality carnuba wax in summer. The deep shine and beading can not be beaten. However in winter when I have no place to work on my car Gyeon Wetcoat is excellent to bring to the self wash to keep a hydrophobic protective layer.
Hi there. Great video. About to try Gyeon for first time using this method. But question: for the wash mitt, do you just re-soak the mitt the same water bucket after each wipe down?
I don't understand why Gyeon doesn't recommend applying it with a washmitt, even specifically recommending to 'just spray it on, a washmitt is not necessary'. I totally agree, and it's intuitive, that applying evenly with a washmitt gives uniform coverage _and_ means using less product. Anyway, fellow ND owner here! x
Best video ever ❤ Can I replace this Geon Wet coat with ceramic coating which is very expensive. I have a new car and want paint protection, can I use this product as a pain protection instead ceramic coating ? Please suggest me , I am bit confused. I usually wash my car every 2-3 weeks .
Hi there! I used on my 17 years old golf after polishing Chemical Guys ceramic wax and now, for weekly wash using after CG quick ceramic detailer ''speed'' if good remember name. Do you think that one is actually good or better then detailer? I always though if you have to rinse spray, actually rinse off from the panel, what about rinse from many directions to better spread? That's all my thoughts...Used this Wetcoat today for the first time on my aluminium rims and looks good for first impressions. Greetings, Tom
good video and explanation. Wetcoat is good, similar to Auto Finesse Aquacoat, and lasts about the same. Prefer TW Dry & Shine Rinse Wax (blue bottle), does the same job for about half the price, handy for quick wheel protection.
Do you apply Wetcoat to your windows? If so, if I then rinse, dry, and then clean (whichever glass cleaning product), won' that remove the Wetcoat protection from the glass? I ask because I've watched other videos, including Gyeon's, spraying Wetcoat on the glass.
I don't personally apply it to my car's windows because I use another sealant. I doubt a glass cleaner would remove wet coat to be honest, unless you were using something really strong then I think it's unlikely to strip the coating. If you wash the windshield with a pH neutral car shampoo and then rinse and dry it with a low-pile/ waffle-weave microfiber then you shouldn't get any streaking and that'll probably help with the durability of wet coat, more than using a glass cleaner as well.
Thanks! It’s fine to apply on windows, trim and alloys. I don’t personally use it on the windscreen as I prefer to use a proper glass sealant instead but I’ve seen people try it 😊
Is it ok to just spread it with microfiber glove and then wash with another glove and cold water (I sort of do not have that much of an open space to really power wash it from distance) ?
I think with this kind of product you need high pressure water to rinse it to make sure you don’t get any streaking or spots of product so I’d be a bit worried about using it unless it could be really thoroughly rinsed away. It might be better to go with a drying aid or QD instead that will still be quick to apply but a bit less risky.
I’ve always just given it a really good rinse out straight after using it and the washed it asap and it comes up as good as new but keep an eye on it just in case 😊
@@AutoCareHQ yes is a good idea , always wash them well, and i think the wet coat doe not have not nearly as much silica than the coats so should be ok :p
Fantastic video, I'm really stoked to try this out. Have used CarPro Hydro2 in the past with pretty decent results, but I'm very interested to see if there's a major difference between that and Gyeon. I'm expecting they're fairly close but we'll see. Thanks for your time and effort!
Thank you! Let me know how you get on with it, I’d be really interested to hear how it compares to CarPro as I’ve not tried any of their products yet 😊
Thanks for watching! I think If you’ve got a very durable wax then it should be fine to layer it but it’ll be better over the top of a sealant instead, otherwise the durability will probably only be a month or so :)
@@tofidt4258 you could put a wax under or over this if you wanted, but I reckon the durability would suffer, and the maximum amount of time it'll stay on the car will be dependent on the durability of whichever you put on the bottom :)
Great video. To ask an obvious question, this cannot be used without a pressure washer correct? Unfortunately I’m in an apartment (what you guys call a Flat) with no access to running water. I clean my car with a rinse less wash system. At best, I have a manual pump sprayer. Those pump sprayers are insufficient to remove the product, correct?
Thanks for watching 😊 yeah you definitely need a lot of high pressure water to rinse it away properly. You’ll be able to get a similar level of protection with a ceramic quick detailer though instead.
I prefer to spray the product onto a wet panel, spread quickly with a damp microfiber mitt or towel, then pressure wash off. You can just spray on the panel and pressure wash off straight away, but I get better coverage and it seems to have better performance by spreading it. Just make sure you stick to a panel at a time, and rinse away quickly and thoroughly and you'll be fine with either method :)
I don’t use it on the glass, I just go for a glass coating instead. It might be a bit risky applying it on glass if there’s water stains on the windscreen especially as it could end up looking a bit messy so I just try to avoid it. The bottle does say it’s fine to use on windows though😊
I love this product. It's great. But I wish the Gyeon would find a way to make it last much longer. I only get maybe a month or so out of it. So I have started using it only on my wheels and grill since they are hard to apply any type of coating to. This keeps me from having to buy a bottle so frequently.
I tried this and didn't get on with it so went back to the quicker spray then spray off method. After all it's convenience is a large part of its appeal. The second gen wet coat is more concentrated, before I could let my car air dry as have softest water in the country however with V2 need to dry the car to prevent spotting after. Got 4L.waxing is dead to me. I use it over TAC moonlight

Should last at least three months. If you're located in Greece then it might last up to six months due to the large amount of dry weather you get. To use, just pre-rinse/foam your car to get rid of the surface dirt and then shampoo your car as normal and rinse off. Next, apply the Wet Coat as demonstrated in the video.
