Karen glad you are taking it easy and not over taxing your back. The painkillers on top of the rub in cream should definitely help. My Dr advised me in the first three weeks when I had my lower back pain not to bend more than six times an hour whilst recovering; and always bend from the knees (never from the waist). Anyway, I am glad that Ivon seemed more herself today and that the Dunkin’ meal helped Ivon keep some food down, essential with a growing baby. Hopefully as time goes on she can find some healthier options she can also eat without problems. I hope Ivon is taking the right supplements to help her and the baby get everything they need, especially: folic acid to prevent spina bifida, and post pregnancy diabetes. Iron for healthy bone growth and to reduce tiredness or the risks of anaemia, omegas for heart and lungs and Vitamin K and Vitamin D essential for mood. Regards clothing, I really love the new Christmas sweatshirt you are wearing, it is very festive and looks great on you. Btw I am glad you are finally getting that Optivia food out from under your bed. It is much better to keep your off season clothing underneath there instead, rather than food (even though I know it was safely packed away). I love the dress you wore to your son’s wedding and the green dress with the short sleeves too. I think you look amazing in green! Clothing, is always difficult for most of us isn’t it! At least with seasonal options we can swap items in and out. I never keep clothing that doesn’t fit, I want to feel comfortable in my clothing, and sorting through and storing stuff that doesn’t serve me seems such a waste of time and effort; and it gives off a negative vibe in my space and I deserve to have things that are good for the body I have today. Also, I don’t keep a lot of clothing and I am lucky in that all my clothes fit onto one standard sized rail in my wardrobe (blouses, cardigans, jackets, trousers) has built in narrow shelves at the side (for sweatshirts and jumpers) and 5 little drawers underneath (for pyjamas and underwear), and also one standard dresser with two small drawers and two larger ones (for T-Shirts, tops, and jeans). I do have a limited number of dressier clothing items (three suits, four dresses, embroidered silk kimono jackets/waistcoats my mum made, my going out coat) in a separate wardrobe in another room which my husband also keeps his formal attire in as well. As you know I’ve reduced down my clothing over the last two years, by decluttering all my work clothing (no longer needed) and clothes I had kept from weddings and special events that I no longer require. It is a relief now to only have things that I wear regularly, fit me properly and that I really like.
Slow decorating...where instead of pulling everything out at one time, slowly add to the decor as the season progresses. There is something fun about adding new touches of decor all along the way!
Pregnancy cravings are so weird. I couldn’t get enough of rocky road ice cream but couldn’t stand the sight of eggs. Hope Ivon is feeling better soon. Hopefully, once she gets into the 2nd trimester.
Hellooo Karen. Great to see you. Loving your sweatshirt, Christmas is approaching fast isn’t it. Good to see you feeling a little better, emotions and chronic pain can really get you down. Hopefully Ivons sickness will settle down as her pregnancy progresses, that little lad will have so many pseudo aunties😄 Lovely to see bits of decor going up, I will start on the 1st of December, my plan is for hubby to get a bag/ box down from our loft every day and as I go through it I’ll declutter some items, I’ve far too much and lots of it don’t make the cut. It’ll be tough though because even though I often don’t put it all out I do like to keep it, I often change colour/ theme and just know what I give up I’ll want next year or the year after😂 Anyhow lovely to see you, take care. Much love from me to you.🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm the same age as you and when I heard Kimmy say that about a guy in his 60s it made me feel so old I love her I love her to pieces but I was like holy moly. I'm considered old
Put up our very first artificial tree. I wanted my son to see on his trips back. I think it will look nice once the ornaments are on. I am going to hang ornaments at varying height from my tension rod the on the kitchen window over the sink. I remember all I could eat was a McDonald’s fish sandwich and a strawberry milkshake. ( a very long time ago)
I think no spend challenges and holiday gift giving are great. YT makes everything so commercial these days, and people always seem to have to be buying stuff. It is all the small buys of £3 and £5 that add up. Also people fall into the ‘quick fix’ happiness boost, which seems good at the time, but when people realise they could save for a car or something much more worthwhile/quality with that money if they saved it up. They often regret it.
Oh my, how is Leo? I hope he is okay. That photo of him and Ivon in bed is so sweet! Bless. Is Robin still working in the bedroom? I noticed his desk looks a bit bare (no computer). Many hugs, I hope your back feels better soon xx
Leo just has a mild bacterial infection thankfully! He goes back in 2 weeks to make sure meds worked and it’s gone. Robin worked downstairs a couple of days as his hours were long and he would start before I was up! 🙂
Love the sweatshirt! Glad you are feeling better and Ivon got a few calories to stay down. Could she try Carnation Instant Breakfast mixes? Lots of protein and vitamins. I mix a vanilla pkg in with some hot cocoa mix. I basically lived on those during chemo days as I couldn’t tolerate much at all. And very good on Leo appointment. Hope it was just a simple infection with minimal meds! I picked up a new tall pantry cabinet today with help of cousin and truck! Will be used for disaster supplies (not food ) so I’ve had bins of things all over living room for over a week. So happy to get that project done. He also took care of several honey do tasks which I am very grateful for. But boy I hear ya on body talking (actually screaming) loudly. I didn’t do a whole lot but all the lugging and lifting was more than enough today. Sitting with heating pad now while I watch vids. Feel free to come do my closet next. Whewie clothes are worst for me to get rid of. You did great moving stuff around! Take care everyone! Love Em ❤❤❤❤❤
I have degenerative disc disease - discs crunched - spinal stenosis -some days I can’t walk but I push through - getting older is not for sissies- I can’t take Tylenol because my bile ducts are enlarged from celiac - nor ibuprophen cause of other medicine- some days I just cry and talk to God
For cats and dogs, I get little kids ear oil made with mullein and garlic. Works like a champ for ear infections. You can easily make your own if you don’t want to order it on line.
God answered prayers! Your feeling better, daughters feeling better, and you got an appointment earlier for the cat.
Yes! I came here to say the same thing! ❤🙏❤
So true! Thanks for that reminder! ❤️
You guys are the best!
I’m so glad everyone is getting better and cat was able to be seen. Prayers continue 🙏🏻❤️
Take care of you guys and hope all feel better soon🙏
Take care❤

I so agree! Doing it all at once is exhausting!

Cute sweatshirt! Continued prayers for healing for you and the girls. Good job getting the seasonal clothing switcheroo done.
I actually really like listening to you talk vs having music...! Hope your back feels better soon 💞
Thanks! ❤️
