My camera can't change the shutter speed as far as I know. It also doesn't show me the settings in real time, so I constantly have to guess what's gonna be good, take a test picture, then change it again, and again....and again. It's a chore for sure, so I mostly don't want to use the camera :/

I would suggest used sony a7 .. for photos you really don't need a fancy camera... but lenses, well that is a different story

Use what you have at the moment! And that includes your phone. That’s the number one advice every professional will tell you. I think tomorrow’s filmmakers recommends the canon t2i which is an old and very cheap dslr, great for photography and filmmaking while starting out👍 Good luck!
