Let me get this straight, reits are haram because they might borrow money to expand their business? Then every company out there is haram not only reits.
@Slikk TalkNY All companies use debt to operate their business this is a reality the levels of its use can differ from one company to another or by sectors but i think that as long as the company core business is not about making profit from Riba rather from selling products or services that are halal it is fine at some point and Allah knows best
Thank you so much for detailing this issue. May Allah reward you. One request - not only is an investment haram/halal based on interest receipts/payments but also on the contract itself - it is possible to have a business that has zero involvement in interest plus deals in only halal products/practices but one cannot become an investor because the investment contract itself is haram. Can you do some videos explaining the details of this and what we should be careful to avoid?
Hello, can you please advise if buying and selling leveraged tokens on Binance Crypto Exchange is Halal or Haram..? It looks there is no interest there as trading these leveraged tokens are like trading spot tokens.
Brother jaZak Allah Khair This is very important to me. is Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc (IVR) Halal or Haram stock? Please note that I have invested in this one since March I believe and I have been receiving dividend and getting more shares. If it is Haram, لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله, does that make all my money in this stock Haram? How can I deal with this issue. Educat me Barak Allah Feek والصلاة و السلام على رسول الله
just wondering what trading platform do you use, i hope he answers your quesion and i also want to know if realty income is a halal reit or a haram reit.
No, you would just need give away the profits made from that stock but you can still keep the initial investment. Example: In March, you invested $1000 into this reit and let's say it has now grown to $1200. You would need to give away $200 to charity as a form of purification, but you can take back the $1000 for yourself. And of course, repent to Allah and ensure that you don't invest into this particular reit anymore.
Salam brother rakaan, im planning to invest reit, and their main source of income is through rentals, however, when I reviewed their financials, they also have minimal income through annual interest via cash deposits in banks and as every banks in the world (excluding Muslim country banks)provides annual interest when deposting ...would very much appreciate if you can enlighten me on this matter..jazakallah khair
I can see the improvements in quality of your released videos. Keep up the good work!
