I have a lefty one if these- same color too. I love that thing. I play a variety of music, but I tend to lean towards rock; and this thing surprised me by it’s ability to squeal. The pinches you can get on it are pretty sweet. The neck, although heavy-ended like you mention, is very comfortable. Cool stuff!
Nice playing! If you ever get a chance, try the single pickup version. The sustain is comparable to les Pauls.

One of the best neck feels ever imo
I'm feeling that Slam poster behind you....😁
Johnny winters used one
I bought one of these new and sold it a couple of years later. I regret that now.
Found a case that fits this perfectly!!
Look into Johnny Winter - Played Firebirds
I think the Firebird isn’t too popular because the shape is kind of weird looking imo . Sounds good though
jonny winter played this gitar
I was kind of lost as you said the neck dived down but it is comfortable?
Yea… kinda like a Gibson SG.. more weight on neck area so guitar dives a bit… but it’s still very comfortable regardless
you didn't mention the neck through body construction and the originals had banjo tuners!
I don't believe the 2012 was neck through, pretty sure it was a set neck
