In an interview, Maliwal described Kumar as a "raajdaar" (keeper of secrets) and a highly influential figure within the party. She asserted that the entire party fears him. Following her complaint, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed, and Kumar was arrested by Delhi Police on May 19. He is currently in police custody.
